This place is hit or miss. It might be good, it might be bad, depends on who is working that day and how motivated they are! Decor is basic, prices charged don’t reflect the ambience.

Ordered the large mixed grill, great tasting food, highly recommend the Charsi chops, really nice and tender. Great chicken kebabs too and chicken skewers. Wasn't a fan of the big lamb shank piece as that was pretty much cold. FYI They do put a water bottle on your table, this is not complimentary.

Ate here last night although food tasted nice woke up this morning with diaorrhea tummy aches and nausea. Stay well clear if you value your health. Definitely food poisoning

Appalling service. Requested freshly cooked sheesh as opposed to pre-cooked, which can be excessively dry. Person behind the counter flatly refused despite my protests that I was a paying customer. Person then responded “I’m not changing my mind”. Appalling level of service. Change of management appears to have coincided with ‘don’t give a toss’ customer service attitude. Poor! Won’t be returning.

Good lamb karahi. Nice roti fresh and hot feom tandoori as you are eating away. Good bunch of guys. Reasonable prices.

I ordered a half chicken karahi DESI STYLE ,there was no style , never mind desi style . They need to read the instructions properly. What they did is put Desi ghee in the Karahi instead of desi style, normally when one gets a Balti dish or a Karahi dish it has some flavour or smell to it ,this one had no curry smell to it at all. One can tell when a Handi is made properly, dissatisfied and disappointed. I ordered the food at 19:29 and the delivery driver was at my door at 19:45 .

Chicken pakora were spoilt with pungent spoilt odour. Fried were old reheated in microwave and oily soggy. Salad looked and smelt stale. Daal was borderline undercooked with excessively generous helping of cooking oil. Lamb Karahi and naan was ok and only reason family managed to have something for dinner rather than going hungry or having to muster something from freezer last minute. I would not recommend and will not order from here again. Would question if they need another food hygiene inspection.

My cousin brother treat me nice old school desi cooking food with his very designer watch real McCoy one on can't complain lamb chop very juicy and spices sheek kebab juice fresh nice best lamb chop ,kebab nice done chicken tikka keema balti fresh cooked spices banging right and fresh roti popdum fresh ones as well eating nice clean big yes recommend this places if you want fresh curries kebab etc

The best desi food in Birmingham

Visited based on the reviews but was seriously underwhelmed. Got there early to order for iftaar, starters were decent, mixed grill, lamb chops and masalas fish. Then had their traditional lamb karahi and tarka daal. Daal was pretty decent but the meat was definitely NOT lamb, ok taste and spice. However was well over priced for what it was, not impressed ... TH

It was ok. I wont rush back. This place is like a Pakistani truck stop.

Worst food ever don’t waste your money waited over 1hour for a burger meal and was absolutely disgusting so hard over cooked. Burger was like eating a stone very bad service would give it a minus star.

Great starters , biggest chops I have seen. Service was fantastic, everything was served super swiftly. Good simple no frills basic establishment, does the job pretty well.

This place tried to rip me and my friend off… Tried to scam extra money off us by manipulating the prices…. When I argued they dropped the price and I told them it’s the principle of the matter and we won’t be coming back here again… Check your prices if you dare to use this dodgy price restaurant… food was ok.

We fly from Germany to the UK and first place we visit to eat is DERA. Best lamb chops ever. We tried lamb chops in Kuwait, Qatar, Dubai, Oman, Pakistan, Germany and most of Europe and no Restaurant can match DERA cov road Birmingham. Mazzzeh. We always order 5 portions of lamb chops and all 20 lamb chops taste amazing 🤤🤤🤤.

It wasn’t freshly cooked was old food had vomting started after the food they shudnt sell old food was slimy as well

I would never order again. I ordered pilau they werent pilau just looked like white rice with mixture of spices. Literally so greasy and cold, fries were so cold and greasy I couldnt allow my kids to eat this food.i had to place order elsewhere. So disappointing.

Nothing feels more good than being able to have garma garam karahi at midnight in Birmingham. Tried peshawari chicken and lamb karahi, chicken one was comparatively better. Naans over here are quite fresh n tender. Besides, their service is quick and it's cheap as well.

I order food from this restaurant for takeaway and it was cold and looked like it has been eaten . I called up and spoke to the main guy at the front short skinny guy he was extremely rude and disgusting service over the phone in-fact abusive. I had to drive all the way back just to be laughed at and told that this is how it is supposed to looked i was given a refund and i am happy to say i will never come to this atrocious restaurant again.

The delivery time was impressive, I ordered around 11:30pm on a Saturday, and they delivered before midnight. Their Daal mash was alright, the lamb balti was quite good. However, the chicken korma was perhaps as sweet as their Gajar ka halwa!! The korma was a waste of money, perhaps they accidentally put sugar instead of salt? Thd gajar ka halwa was alright too. Too sweet for my taste. But overall,although there is room for improvement, it is not bad.

The food is good, but too spicy for me. I did ask for less spiciness but it was similar to my friend dish that asked make it very spicy. But if you don't mind spiciness, then it is great!

Very poor Service. Food was ok. Prices are reasonable too. I went for the dinner and sat down on a table. Ordered my food and went in toilet to wash my hand. Guess what! When i came back my table was occupied and the same person who took my order was making them comfortable where i ordered my food. Upon asking he asked me to sit on another table by saying, yeah they sat down here you can sit on another table. I should’ve left straight away but just because i had ordered already I sat on another table without creating a scene. But definitely never coming back and won’t recommend it.

Bye far the best takeaway I've been to in a long time. The staff are second to none. The food is delicious 😋 I have a meat madras. 2 roti 2 kebabs. Believe me it's to die for. Thank you to all the staff.
