Arrived just before they stopped at 6pm...excellent venison burger, my wife enjoyed her but roast, really friendly service too

We've been to The Grapes only once before, for a drink and we thought he food looked good. We also liked that our dog was made welcome with a meaty snack. We returned for lunch today and were not disappointed. There is a choice of Sunday roast or other pub meals (my husband had the pork and bacon pie). A bowl of water and some titbits of meat were promptly provided for our dog and there was a dog menu from the Woofchester range. Our food was freshly cooked, plentiful and delicious. The servers were friendly and attentive. We were also impressed by the rock/80s hair bands playlist. Overall, a really lovely dining experience in a comfortable and stylish pub. I should also mention that the food is very competitively priced; considerably cheaper than many other local pubs but not compromising on quality at all. We will definitely return.

We called in for a late lunch and were made so welcome by the Host. The food was amazing and we were very impressed and all of us agreed this would now be a place to visit on our list whenever in the area.

Nice casual pub to eat at. Came here to do some work, had a gyro for lunch, very tasty and cheap for the amount…. Staff are really friendly pub was clean and looks lovely inside and out. Thanks guys

What a super place and called in for a drink and snack. We will be back. We had a couple of starters and our friends two desserts. We would have had more but back to our hotel for dinner. Super food and good prices with an obliging host dogs also welcome with their own menu !

We had an evening meal at the Graps Friday and Saturday. The pub was welcoming and ver. friendly atmosphere . We also had take our dogs with us. They was met with very friendly young lady and was given water and a biscuits. Are orders was take with no waiting time. The meal was lovely very well presented. They offered different sources and come to ask if we was happy with are meal. Drinks was also offered when we had finished. Very enjoyable would highly recommend this pub.

We were on our way t a short break in Scarborough mid week and were looking for a country or village pub for a quick bite to eat when we came across the Grapes. was a lovely looking place with a nice bar and a fantastic looking back room (shut when we were there but i got a peek). The owner was a friendly Geordie (my Dad was a Geordie so i love the accent). The service and selection was quick and easy. It was very quiet when we arrived but a few more peple started turning up after us. The food was quick and mostly okay except for one thing... I asked for potato skins expecting baked potatoes with the insides scooped out and the skins deep fried served with a dip, leaving some substance to it. What i got was a pile of paper thin potato peelings that had been fried and had no substance or flavour whatsoever and basically turned to dust when you tried to pick them up. Who serves their customers potato peelings??? it totally tainted my whole view of the place unfortunately as it could be a great place.

Have not been out to a pub for a meal in a very long time, most closed their doors in covid and it is now difficult to find somewhere for a nice pub meal. The grapes at ebberston was great, staff friendly and polite, food was hot and served quickly and at a reasonable price 2 adults 1 teen we had the halloumi fries and chicken wings, halloumi was beautiful, the chicken wings were ok nothing special but our scampi and homemade chips was delicious and my daughter had fish which she ate the lot, then followed by mini egg cheesecake and i had the brownie which was also lovely, all in all a great find, we will def be back thanks to all the staff.

A group of us (with two dogs) stopped in to get a quick drink. We received a warm welcome from the bar staff and sat in the cosy snug side after ordering drinks at the bar. The drinks were then brought to us, along with water and snacks for the dogs. We didn’t stay to have food as we were short on time, but the food that was brought out to other customers looked delicious, especially a huge portion of fish and chips! The drinks were all good, but they serve a really great Guinness!

Outstanding Sunday Roasts. The beef was thickly sliced and served with a variety of vegetables, roast potatoes and of course a Yorkshire. The nut roast, potatoes, veg and stuffing was so tasty. Good that they checked if I was vegan (I’m not- but good practice). Burger was tasty, chips looked home-made and all of our portions were of a good size. Extremely welcoming and great with our dog. Looked very dog friendly as lots of doggies here. Many thanks.

Really nice pub. Great atmosphere really friendly staff and by far the best meal for miles. Added to the experience was the games room that the kids love playing pool and darts will definitely visit again.

This is a lovely pub, and we don't think you'll find anywhere with a better welcome, friendlier staff or a kinder welcome to dogs. Really good, tasty, excellent value pub food, served all day most days. We had Christmas dinner last night, and it was spot on, so if you didn't book for this year - make sure you do next year!! The best keep beer in the area, and a changing selection of guest ales. Good, spacious car park. What more do you want?!!

We are staying locally on holiday and visited The Grapes Inn on Sunday with friends (and 3 dogs), and again tonight as a couple with our 1 dog. On each visit we have had the warmest of welcomes by the landlord and his staff, they have been extremely informative and efficient, and the food has been the best we have had out of everywhere we have visited. This is a superb friendly little pub and we will definitely return when we are back in March. We couldn’t recommend highly enough! 😊

An absolute gem of a pub and restaurant, we have been a few times and the food,staff and service have always been fantastic. We popped in today (27/08/23) on the way to dalby forest, unfortunately, it poured down, so we detoured, and I'm so glad we did. Sunday lunch was outstanding, I had the nut roast with all the trimmings and keylime pie with lemon sorbet for pudding, it was superb, youngling had two starters instead of a main, battered squid with sweet chilli sauce and salmon with rocket salad. She is Spanish, knows her fish and rated it fabulous, strawberry and meringue sundae was for pud, and was also very good, the stawberries were so fresh tasting and sweet. The staff were, as always, the perfect mix of friendliness and professionalism. Ted the dog was thoroughly spoiled with a yorkshire pud and meat (free!) A wonderful pub, good food, good staff, good prices, dog friendly, very well done to all who work there

Stopped off by chance , mainly as partner saw sign saying "hand made chips" and I nearly had to do an emergency stop! Boy, were we glad we were tempted. Best fish and chips I've had in a pub for years and yes, the chips were to die for. Thoroughly recommend it . All food sourced locally - excellent fish. . Now looking for an excuse to go back and try rest of the menu but it's nearly a 2 hour drive!

Excellent food, great value for money and very tasty. Dogs are made to feel part of the family and are provided with their own biscuit and bowl of water, they even have a dog menu. The staff were very warm and welcoming and went out of their way to make you night a good one. Overall good food and good wine I would highly recommend a visit.

We visited the Grapes on the way back from Scarborough having tried to book several places for Sunday lunch. It was 4pm and we'd almost given up on finding somewhere to eat, so finding The Grapes was a bit like an oasis in a desert. The owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful, bringing a bowl of water and a few scraps of meat for our dog without us even having to ask. They even have a doggy menu! The (human) food was exceptional, really tasty. We had roast beef Sunday lunch and scampi & chips (real chips, as advertised) - both brilliant. Highly recommended.

All I can say tasteless. Two sunday lunches 1 pint of carling 1 cup of tea forty pound. Not value for money

A very friendly welcome from the landlord during testing times in the hospitality industry. Top notch freshly prepared food - we can recommend the seafood. Well worth a visit.

This is the most dog-friendly (and customer friendly!!) pub we have ever used, dogs are all brought their own water bowl and biscuit. The food is freshly cooked, nicely presented, always really hot and delicious. Staff are friendly, helpful and polite, and service is excellent - nobody is ever left waiting. Always a lovely, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble.

A chance find on the way back from Scarborough and can honestly say it was a very nice surprise.Truly Dog friendly as the first service is water and a treat for the dogs. A very pleasant landlady and her partner run this well presented pub and serve a varied menu that can only be described as proper tasty pub grub. Our selection was halloumi, and squid starters( separate dishes) and followed by a chicken burger and beef burger that really was one of the biggest and best yet. Homemade coleslaw, onion rings and salad but the chips were the best ever. None of your frozen crinkle chips here. Proper homemade chunky chips. We will return and wish this pub and staff every success for the future. Well done to all involved.
