The Granville Chinese restaurant in Wiltshire

First time having a takeaway, from here. Was very pleased with the food, excellent service and very quick to be served. Will be using the restaurant again. Highly recommend.

Excellent food! We found this by chance as we were looking for a dine-in Chinese and so happy to find this place! We were served by a lovely Malaysian man who laughed and joked with us. The food was amazing and highly recommend this place! Do note the kitchen closes 30 mins before their closing time! Will be back to try the dim sum!

Booked for a table of 9 plus a baby for a birthday meal. Service was super friendly and attentive. Food was DELICIOUS! Had a set menu with starters (ribs amazing) then duck which was just as good. Then mains which definitely filled us till we could eat no more! Everything was so delicious. We will definitely be back. Thankyou!

Rarely leave negative reviews but felt this was justified especially after the response I got from the takeaway? Possibly the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had! Ordered half a crispy aromatic duck, chicken satay and prawn toast. Everything was just so greasy, the portion of cucumber and sliced onion was barely enough for a quarter duck as was the sauce. (Photos attached) The prawn toast was so over deep fried and the chicken skewers for the satay was obviously deep fried with the prawn toast as it smelt and tasted of prawn toast. I did ring to say I was really disappointed about the quality of the food as this was the first time I had used them. What made it worse was the person I spoke to didn’t seen]m bothered at all and just said he would let the kitchen know. Duck was pre sliced, not on the bone and very greasy ! Amazed at their attitude, especially as Melksham has so many alternative Chinese takeaways and only thought I would give them a try because of their reviews????

Had a Saturday lunch here for a birthday. The food was lovely and the service was really great. Was a little cold in the restaurant but overall a nice experience.

I am surprised by their quality dim sum and fry noodles. I ordered beef stir fry rice noodles and Singapore stir fry noodles. They are absolutely delicious 😋. There are plenty of parking spaces outside the restaurant.

Food was tasty, but small portion s , for the money , but as we say was tasty, I had 4 mini pancake rolls ,( tiny) and Francis my brother 2 fish cakes, (tiny ,flat like , pancake) full of flavor, I had roast pork chow main ,small portion and went cold quick , Francis had chilli beef in a nest with portion of egg fried rice nice , and a pudding each ,they were ok , , but we I think would go again but not have apperatie ,(small starter ) tooo small , staff nice polite , friendly , but need bigger portion for value for money

Takeaway food indifferent, not bad but uninspiring, but rather expensive for that

Dreadful, I don’t want to bash a local business however the takeaway was the worst Chinese I’ve ever eaten.

Their Dim Sum is great. The taste is as good as those in Hong Kong.

The food was very tasty when we actually got all of it, although not very hot. The service wasn’t good sadly and let down the meal. The female server who took our order spoke very quietly and couldn’t answer any questions. When only a few peoples mains came out but without the rice to go with them and we waited for around 10 minutes and asked, the male server/manager was quite rude and said we were all wrong. Those of us who did have our mains ate them so they wouldn’t be cold and then had our rice without much of the sauce etc to go with them because they came out 10 minutes later, along with the other guests mains. A shame to have servers be rude when it isn’t the customer at fault, and it’s a higher price for the food than other places so we were hoping for a lovely meal. Again, the food was nice, but the service meant we wouldn’t return or recommend.

Nice food (mostly - apart from the bland crispy beef). Quite expensive and smaller portions than others. Value debatable. ..

Went to eat delicious Chinese food with my husband today, and got to know the owner. I like his perseverance. I will visit again next time.

Well what can I say absolutely awful food soggy tiny chicken balls, undercooked chips, curry sauce was missing, chicken yellow sauce dry and stone cold. Well just as well I didn't order anything else worst chinese in Wiltshire and I have been to a few AVOID at all costs.

Was recommended this place by a fellow foodie, I’ve tried it 4 times now consistently the food has been spot on and the customer service has always matched it! A little hidden gem! Definitely worth a visit!

Visited the Granville last night. Had a wonderful meal in a very smart, clean resturant. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the hot piping hot and delicious. We would have no reservations in recommending you pay it a visit - we will certainly be going there again

Avoid at all costs!!! New ownership has sank the ship. The previous owners peter and Jennifer had things under control but the new management has completely ruined this local resteraunt Bad service and worse food
