The Grand Venue in Oldham

I had my wedding here and I’m so happy with how amazing the day went from venue to service everything was on schedule. Myself and my guests are so happy with how lovely the day went.

Disgusting customer service from the so called owner who is also meant to be a good pillar of the community the guys attitude stinks. No working equipment. Never have your wedding here

Very nice place to go to for a wedding. Big spacious area. Really nice centre pieces for the tables and lovely blossom trees and arches. For all those bangla's out there, you wouldn't believe there's a bodna in the toilets! For all those Muslims out there, no need to carry a plastic bottle anymore as this venue has it all covered for istinja! Best of all there is even a prayer room! Make your prayers in this lovely little room. The only downfall is as much as the food was delicious it was too spicy.

Never clean, and food and decor can be inconsistent, loved it and gave me @hit* unless they keep changing the chefs

Very bad service. Food was cold and half the dishes were missing. Had another wedding on at the same time and they were busy serving the guests in the other hall. Waiters and waitresses were very rude. Always on their phone. Avoid this venue

Location is on main road. The Grand venue ia idea for Wedding and parties. They do food and service. It is good for local people and local weddings. Only disadvantage is that the bridal room is not clean and curtains are not fixed onto rail.

Food and service is always good at Grand Venue, the secret is that they cook the food in-house and it's not outsourced to any catering companies, the staff are very nice and attentive, when the service starts food is out very quickly.

Overall nice food, with big rooms plus parking good for a venue like this, not bad choice for any asian weddings

OLD mill building, Bengali catering. Decor box standard nothing special, Good size hall, large car park, 600 guests, can seat more Service: animal feeding style Staff same as rest (but very polite). Food very good for Bengali catering.. Better than other places been this last week over in Yorkshire.

This is not a restaurant but a banqueting hall. They make the food themselves and I always enjoy it when I get invited to a wedding. The fish pakoras are the best I've had anywhere and the curries are pretty good too. Atmosphere is good and it is a massive hall and has ample seating for all your guests. The decorations are usually done by third party companies but the decor is quite simple but has nice lighting in the ceilings.

This place is very nice and modern, can accommodate large weddings,the food is good, the only thing is, for some reason the lamb curry which is served as a main is abit salty but that could just be me, other then that it's really good service is very good too keep it up.

I am here at The Grand Venue for a wedding. So far the place looks lovely. The only thing that I can fault on is that the waiters and waitresses are all chewing gum with their mouths open. They need to be told to be more professional. Food is lovely and so is the decor. Would recommend this place as a wedding venue.

A grade II-listed former cotton mill in Oldham is the north-west's top Asian wedding venue. Anchor Mill, in Westwood has undergone a total refurbish with its 20,000 sq ft first floor transformed into a wedding banqueting hall catering for over 1300 guests. The Grand Venue Banqueting which also function as a conference and event facility, includes two large halls with its own kitchen, very own top chefs and even has its own in-house wedding organisers. Eastern Concept Limited, made up of eight Bangladeshi businessmen from Greater Manchester bought the former mill in 2008. They hope the transformation will not only breath new life into the five storey building but help regenerate the local area by bringing in hundreds of jobs. As well as the wedding venue, there are a cash and carry, saree shops, a snooker hall and office space will also be let. There is nothing like the Grand Venue in the Oldham area. Most people have to travel out of Oldham to book a venue for a wedding. "Asian weddings are big events with hundreds of guests and not many places can cater towards the huge numbers and we thought it was important to have such a facility in the Oldham area.
