Stopped by to get a few things and decided to have a tea break whilst there in the Granary. A lovely setting. Two of us had a 'cream tea' a scone with all the trimmings plus a pot of tea and the other had a rather lovely sandwich, well presented with crisps on the side. Thoroughly enjoyable. Would recommend you stop by if you are passing.

It's a small coffee shop with around half a dozen tables. The food on offer is mainly cakes, scones and sandwiches, so it's probably a place for a snack rather than a meal. It's clean and comfortable and the staff are great, both in the coffee shop and the main store. The food and coffee was good, but I think most people go there to see the shop rather than specifically for lunch. You should do the same. The main focus is animal products, with food and equipment for a range of animals, including horses. The country clothing section has some quality products and some good value items on the sale rail, so it's worth a browse even if you don't end up making a purchase.

There wasn’t a friendly welcome upon arrival and having to wait some time to be shown to our table (our booking was increased from 2 people to 6) after being seated we waited the best part of ten minutes for our drinks and food order to be taken. When asking for fruit shoots for the kids we were told they don’t serve them so the kids had to have large glasses of juice only for us to see the table next to us be served fruit shoots. Service was slow and not greatly attentive, appearing slightly understaffed. The waitresses seemed confused by who was covering which area / tables and not visiting certain areas often enough, so much so opportunities were missed by not offering if we wanted more drinks etc. Again after waiting to ask for the bill we gave up and went to the bar to be ignored by a number of staff when trying to pay the bill. Given all of the above the food was really good and so we are likely to try it again. It was just a shame the service didn’t match up. Hopefully next time this will be improved.

Out of curiosity, I checked out their website and was very impressed with their unique dining experience and the fantastic and engaging reviews. As a software service provider at Synology, I love admiring service leaders in various industries, such as Tipsy Teapot’s excellent service in restaurants. One day, I will travel there with my family from Taiwan to experience their warm hospitality! ! !
