Some friends recommended this little gem. Full of nostalgia with its antiques beautifully displayed. Nice selection of home made cakes - the Victoria sponge was delicious. Enjoyed sitting in the lovely courtyard garden listening to the parakeets chirping away in the aviary. Another one for my 'must visit again' list. Love the quirky coffee pot!

Visited this little cafe today with my parents and daughter and it was so lovely. I love vintage so this was perfect for me. The cakes were amazing and the staff/owner was so lovely and friendly. This is well worth a visit. I will definitely be going back

Been here twice now and on both occasions it hasn’t disappointed. There’s something for everyone in this quirky slice of nostalgia with it’s wonderful traditional tea rooms set amongst numerous 40’s antiques. Traditional tea or coffee and an assortment of home made cakes and scones are served in china cups and saucers with plates to match! Even the placemats are worth examining as each one is a newspaper of those wartime years contained in a protective sleeve bu available to read whilst you await service. Antiques are numerous and varied from a 1940’s motorcycle sitting proudly in the window and available for purchase to facsimiles of wartime ration books and posters. In addition, there is a good selection of military artefacts and memorabilia on offer. Be sure to visit the bathroom during your visit, I won’t go into detail otherwise it’ll spoil that particular treat. Much more than a cafe, this is an experience not to be missed.

My partner and I took mum here after remembrance service, surprised no one in although the scouts laid on teas and coffees. It was fantastic with all the Second World War artefacts and old newspaper cutttings from the period as place mats. It was fascinating reading these. The coffee was excellent as was the homemade cake. I urge all in irthlingborough to go and avoid your costa coffees! Mum loved it!

This is a new tea shop with a difference, it is an antique shop as well as a tea shop. When you enter it appears there are only three tables but in fact there are more tables in the counter area as well as a lovely patio area. The homemade cakes were wonderful and tea for one had two teabags, so a quick stir and you had a lovely strong cup of tea, with top up. The atmosphere is world war two, with the waitresses dress as land girls. The cost for a couple was really reasonable. Will certainly be returning.

Comfortable surroundings and friendly staff, limited menu (limited only by the type of licence granted by the council rather than the owners' wishes: delicious home-baked cakes and scones together with tea and coffee, all served on quality china crockery). Only a few tables inside at present but additional seating is available outside, weather permitting. Antiques and collectibles also for sale in the shop, but best of all no smell of stale cooking fat as found in most coffee shops in the village. Free refills with tea and coffee, too!

Popped in for a quick takeaway drink as we were passing by. Hubby had a flat white and really enjoyed the taste of the coffee. I had a hot chocolate and it was amazing, the best I’d had in a while. Personally, I find that so many of the big chains have a weak, milky, watery excuse for hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was actually chocolatey. The person who served us was lovely, polite and smiley. Would defo recommend takeaway and will be popping in to have a dine-in experience!

We were led to believe this was above average - ho hum... Service, whilst friendly, was slow. Finding a wine list took some 20 minutes. After another reuest when it arrived it was crumpled and stained. As it was warm night we decided to eat outside - tables could have done with a good wipe, and the floor had obviously not seen a sweep for some time - cigarette ends all over the place. Menu was nothing more than average selection of pub food, and from arrival to food arriving took one hour. On the plus sign - food was hot, and acceptable, portion size - substantial. (No need for a starter.)
