The Good Breakfast in Blaby

Terrible breakfast 🤢 I chose the full English which wasn’t full English as didn’t have black pudding or toast, on plating up the food I noticed that the Bain Marie which keeps the food hot was absolutely filthy they removed some trays and had not been cleaned for some time it had old noodles etc stuck inside it floating , this is the poorest standard which put me off the breakfast to start with let along if health and hygiene was to visit would definitely get a warning for food practices , so I went and sat down the sausages and bacon looked and tasted like they had been cooked 2 days ago dried out and bacon had gone to rubber , the cutlery was dirty had to change them the mushrooms were not cooked correctly they were substantially undercooked , the beans were de-hydrated in the tray that they were displayed in had not been cleaned , the hash browns were definitely Cooked in old oil they tasted bitter and smelled like old oil , overall very very poor . I am a chef of 30years experience and this has to be 1 of the poorest efforts I’ve seen for £10! This place really needs a shake up as if this would have been in 1 of my establishments staff would have been told to closed throw all food away full clean and cook fresh ,

Although it was a welcome change from the usual fast food outlets, it was still overpriced and overcooked. Why do we just accept that motorway services will overcharge on everything without delivering any kind quality at all?
