Went here tonight 9/11/24 for he first time with hubby. Both had starters tempura chicken and creamy garlic mushrooms followed by steaks. Everything was cooked fresh and the steak was cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere for a small place and super friendly helpful staff. Will definitely NOT be out last visit there.

Avoid this bar, poor management and health and safety measures missing. My husbands head was injured by a falling plank of wood but the manager/senior on shift did not give a toss about his injury. I messaged the bar to update them on my husband's injury and was met with excuses but still no apologies! The bar had no accident/incident book, they did not offer any first aid and did not take any details to follow up, this shows a complete disregard for their customers wellbeing and safety! and for licensing laws and government health and safety policies! For your own safety please avoid this bar, there are better businesses, who care about their customers wellbeing, further up the street . Ps I've given them 2 weeks to respond to my last message before I wrote this review, but they have again avoided the matter.

Great wee place, staff were friendly, and karaoke night so good entertainment

Was packed out and not comfortable atmosphere. Smelled really awful inside. My friend got hit on the head twice by a falling plank of wood, ended up with a sore head, staff pretended it didn't happen. We found this shocking. No assistance, nobody checked he was ok. The drinks were the usual prices around this area. Too many people packed in like sardines. Won't be hurrying back

My partner & I used to love going to this place & the food was cheap & cheerful.Having not been for awhile we were shocked to see the prices on the menu now.Shot away up in price.The service we received was not good at all.Sat over 20 minutes after our starters were finished before plates got removed.The place wasn't even that busy.The burgundy short hair assistant couldn't have cared less & when the bill got brought we asked for card reader to pay.Sat ages & it never appeared so ended up going to the bar to pay.Needless to say no tip was left as the service was terrible & we won't be back again.

It was a nice place our new favourite eating place when going to beach very dog friendly 🐕🐾 food was 10/10 and 10/10 service and got a doggie bag 🎒 Finnlay and my aunties!

Children size portions of steak pie at adult price. Has gone way down hill. Real shame..We ordered 2 adult size steak pies with drinks and what arrived was so so dissapointing. Half size portions, and what was worse the price had also gone up. So double whammy inflation and Shrinkflation. Don't be greedy look after your customers. Better value just along the road. We won't be back

Overpriced with much smaller portions. I agree this is not what it used to be. Really expensive for much smaller.portions. Avoid and walk along the street, much much better for less money

TERRIBLE.. won't be back 2 x Kids size portions of steak pie with chips and 2 drinks £36. Shrinkflation, Inflation and greed...there are much better near by offering adult sized Steak Pie meals with drinks for far less and more pleasant surroundings. Shame on you.

Was charge £36+ for small portion of stake pie x2 and 2 drinks.Really disappionted.I would go as far as to say I felt I was ripped off!!! Much more attractive and cheaper places to eat. Do yourself a favor AVOID.

Very disappointed tried to get in on Saturday 30th March at 11.15 very ignorant bouncer wouldn't let my friend and I In said he had just been notified by bar staff no one was aloud I'n we are regulars and could understand if it was busy but it wasn't and there was only 2 of us he He has really put my friend and I.off coming back really not an asset to the golf in not a hoo6d experience all round

Arrived at 11.15 on Saturday 30th March wouldn't say it was packed have seen it a lot busier the bouncer wouldn't let us in very rude and we go there most weekends

Very friendly pub. Parking around back as on main street. Had garlic mushrooms, haggis nachos and steak pies for main. Lovely pub grub, big potions too. Dog friendly and plenty of people in eating.

The golf Inn was lively, busy with a good atmosphere. Karaoke was on,we were in later on a saturday night and didn't eat. It's a very traditional pub, of which there are only a couple left in prestwick, definitely well worth the walk to the end of the main street

What a pleasant surprise.We've been to Prestwick a few times and haven't been onto the pub before. Welcoming with a great atmosphere. Very reasonable drink and food prices and decent 'pub grub' I especially enjoyed the nachos.

Stood at the end of the bar and enjoyed a couple of drinks. The girls were very busy but still had time for a wee welcome chat. First class all round. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely disgusted by attitude of supervisor / manager who said to my partner who had never been in Pub “ I know your face your a trouble maker “ after telling her who the groups was she tried to pull back from that mistake never ever go back there …just be careful in case you get picked on

Having been at a wedding here and the whole wedding being thrown out at 8pm even though it was the Chefs Father's wedding is shocking, all because the Brides son asked why a member of the Wedding party was having to serve the food it was OTT to say the LEAST. There was no valid reason to throw everyone out if the owners daughter felt the Brides son was inappropriate she made no attempt to properly difuse the situation by taking him aside to a private area and sorting things out but no my friends wedding was RUINED a disgrace shame on you. TBF the food was great

I can't actually measure how good it is as we missed our chance to eat here by 20 minutes as the young man the night before never siad if finished at 7 but the food looked great and smelled great and has great reviews 😒 nothing worse than seeing and smelling great food being delivered to every table but yours gutted

Enjoyed "banter" with the lovely barmaid Cath and the several other customers sat at the bar. I also enjoyed an excellent curry and sticky toffee pudding (seperate courses 🤣) for under £15. I found my afternoon VERY enjoyable and thanks to everyone involved 😍

Great atmosphere on a Saturday night, dearest prices all day in Prestwick but worth it as enjoyed my c heeky Chardonnay. Place was clean,staff friendly and locals were chatty. Great wee night looking forward to next visit.

My husband and I with our dog went for lunch Sat 16th April 22, very friendly staff, we were made so welcome and so was our dog, the staff asked the chef for something for our dog and gave us a chicken breast chopped up, if we are ever down in Prestwick again we will definitely pay it a visit.

Had lunch today food was delicious Hubby said it was the best Macaroni he's ever had Chilli Nachos and Chicken Crepe was also delicious Sticky Toffee pudding to die for Very Friendly staff and really dog friendly

My late wife and I used to drive down to Prestwick most Saturdays for a Stroll and a wee drink (soft drinks for me) and popped into the Golf Inn often. Recently started getting out again after her long fight against Cancer (sadly lost), so jumped the Train from Glasgow, putting the Senior Railcard to good use, had our usual walk along the prom, and ended up walking into the Golf Inn. From the minute I walked in service was first class. Asked for the lunch menu, and told to take a seat, menu promptly arrived, drinks order taken, opted for the Lunch Menu, £10:95 for two courses, £13:95 for three courses. Had the Tempura for starters then the Steak Pie, Chips And Veg, which was excellent and plentiful. Don’t usually go for three courses these days, but what the heck, had the Sticky Toffee Pudding and Ice Cream (wife’s favourite). Washed down with a few pints, even brought to the Table! Country Music playing in the background, friendly and attentive staff, this is my go to when in Prestwick!

Went on the off chance last minute lunch it was worth walking up the town it's a wee gem of a place I will return again for sure great food good price the hostess was a lovely lady very friendly the table service was the best I've experienced in Ayrshire at this point wonderful staff very welcoming to outsiders lol thanks xx

Really disappointed and won't be back. 3 strangers come in for a drink and ask for 4 drinks. Then give our order. The bar staff hear different and a guy who says its his parents pub, charges us for 4 drinks plus 4 pints of tenants. Really dissapointing as not one of us has drank tenants all night yet they are adamant we asked for said drinks. We paid for them but never drank them. We won't be back.. poor show golf inn.
