This is excellent restaurant was always a firm favourite, the food being very superior Indian. However, they could not re new the lease and are no closed. They are looking for a new location in Ludlow.

Dropped in for a takeaway (Golden Moments was recommended by a member of staff at the nearby Church Inn - also recommended!). Lovely welcoming people, but the food was the main highlight. This was probably the best Indian takeaway I have had in years. Lamb Pathia was superb, and the quality of the side dishes was exceptional. Will visit again when next in Ludlow.

We were a little concerned when we went into the restaurant as there was no one else in. We were quickly seated menus and popadums delivered. The waiter was very pleasant and our food arrived promptly it was very well presented with generous portions. The first mouthful told us that there was no need for concern the food was excellent! Next time we are in Ludlow we will certainly eat again at Golden Moments.

Our third time at Golden Moments and to be fair it’s been excellent each time. This time we had poppadoms and great quality chutneys. Then we had a chicken Jalfreizi with mushroom pilau, and a chicken Balti and pilau. The naans were so fresh and lovely. Both curries were excellent, and not too oily. The waiting on staff were attentive but not intrusive even during a very busy service. Will definitely return next time 👍🏼

Fantastic food, there was 8 of us and we all enjoyed our food. The service was very good too. Definitely be going back.

Visited Ludlow for a week and ordered a takeaway on our first night. I can honestly say it was delicious. Garlic chicken starter was amazing, as was the Jalfrazi lamb. I enjoyed it so much, I ordered it again on our last night. Trust me you will not be disappointed. Excellent value for money also, I think the main was only about £11.

Went tonight with my wife,Daughter and her partner and our Grandson. We were put on a pair of mismatched tables at the back of the restaurant next to the service area and toilets. We had to debate what soft drinks as they did not supply a drinks menu. We arrived at 6.30pm as booked, we were asked to leave as soon as we had finished at 8.00pm. They moved one of our tables together with two other to accommodate a large party waiting by the door. Food was OK but to be honest it’s not worth the money they charge for it. Very poor service I thought. I will not be returning.

I’ve visited this restaurant for years. Always fantastic food and friendly staff. Some good wine options, but a few more high quality wines would be great. Will keep returning!

My wife and I were staying in Ludlow for a week, and we came here in on the hotest day of the year, but I'm so glad we came here as the food was delicious and they cater for gluten free requirements too. I think its the best one in Ludlow and perhaps a little more expensive than your traditional Indian elsewhere. I would recommend giving it a try. The staff who were fantastic even 'grandma' who took our booking - thanks.

I love a good curry and decided to try this place out with family a few nights ago. I chose the chicken Balti with fried rice and a keema naan… along with a couple of pints of the obligatory Cobra lager. It was absolutely delicious and I can quite honestly say it was the best curry I’ve ever enjoyed. A nice touch for me was the way the huge naan breads arrived at the table sliced into manageable pieces… usually you just tear bits off but I have never seen them served this way and it certainly makes it easier. Service was excellent too. 10/10 from me Will definitely be back!

Have to say I always bread tripadvisor and this place was as described. Food was lovely. Fresh and well present. The decor is not flash but you are there for the food so it doesn’t matter Staff we attentive and friendly and we will be back Mandy

Went for a meal on saturday night as staying in ludlow after a large family meal at lunchtime so looking for a small evening meal. We first ordered 2 glasses of wine and a little confusion as the waiter thought they only sold bottles of wine. The glasses arrived. Then ordered a meal and a starter but the waiter was quite abrupt and told us that would be an extra £4 as it was a starter rather than a main meal. We were a bit surprised so then ordered 2 mains. Food was good but can see why this Indian restaurant is only 50% full and the other one was packed as not too friendly here. Also when in the loo the waiter switched the light off and apologised saying they were saving money when he realised. We sat in the front room so quite busy with takeaway customers in and out so not really a comfortable experience sitting in Probably won't eat here again when we are ludlow again.

Very poor customer service. Was asked to leave after 1 hour 15 mins in the restaurant. Just finished our meal, ordered more drinks which we were unable to finish. No apologies given by management. Very rude attitude.

We had a one night stay in Ludlow and decided to come here. We are so glad that we did! Me and my partner both had delicious curry’s. They were cooked perfectly and ingredients tasted very fresh. Lovely service too. Would definitely return.

Been dining in and having takeaways from the this local family run restaurant for years and the quality of the food and service takes some beating!My partner and I enjoyed a takeaway last night and even with the current Covid restrictions the service was spot on; from the polite young lady on the phone taking the order, to the accurate waiting time and the smiling, friendly waiter handing over our food at the door.The food was obviously freshly prepared, spiced perfectly and cooked to perfection.You’d be wasting your time going anywhere else!

I always order a take away from golden moments, food is always amazing, plenty of it and its reasonably priced. Staff are so friendly and honestly if I could have dinner from there everyday I would.

Whilst walking around Ludlow on a Monday night, we popped our head into The Golden Moments to see if we could have a sit down meal. To our joy, they were serving food, and there were plenty of tables, all spaced out. For a time, we were the only couple in the place, until another couple arrived. There was only the four of us all night. I did notice a few takeaway meals being served. We had a lovely meal, it was definitely different far more relaxed than usual maybe.

One of the best Indian meals we've ever had in the UK, and that's saying something. Food freshly cooked and well presented. My husband had a Cod dish which he says was superb. Good value for money in a fine dining setting. We were served by a very efficient waiter. Good Covid awareness and all rules followed.

Ludlow is jam packed with some fabulous restaurants covering a wide range of cuisines and “The Golden Moments” is no exception. We had a lovely meal here, notable for the careful spicing of every dish. One to revisit soon.

Booked a table here on Friday night as a treat on our last day of our three day break in Ludlow . First impressions were of a very professionally run and pleasant place to eat and we weren’t disappointed . Service and friendliness of all staff was spot on and the food was by far the best Indian meal we’ve every experienced . Each dish was delicious, well presented and cooked to perfection . If we lived in Ludlow we would visit every Friday night ! Highly recommended *****

Walked in on Sunday evening and just one person serving but he didn’t neglect anyone and was very professional. Well done. Food was very tasty.

We fancied some Indian food and luckily Golden Moments had a table, the last time we visited it was very busy today was much better. The food was good my only point would be one small king prawn in my mixed grill is not enough. Staff were helpful soft drinks remain expensive.

Visited on a Saturday night and enjoyed some superb, freshly cooked, food in very pleasant surroundings. Service was good and we felt perfectly safe with the additional distancing between tables. Menu was very good, portion sizes ideal and the restaurant was beautifully pretested. Perfect.

Some Friends and I had another wonderful meal at “The Golden Moments” as always. The Chef “Raj”always goes above and beyond working so hard in the kitchen.If you are passing through Ludlow or visiting friends there this is an Amazing Restaurant to experience and you won’t be disappointed!

Had another lovely takeaway from Golden Moments again Saturday evening. Nice and fresh, still very hot once back home, would recommend a takeaway until we are allowed to eat indoors again. We had three different main courses and they were all sumptuous.

Really good menu with different takes on dishes to the norm for other restaurants advisable to book to nearer the end of the week.Staff very friendly and helpful,really enjoyed the evening.

We visited on a Saturday night it was very busy, the staff were welcoming but appeared inexperienced. The first problem was the drinks order, I wanted a pint of lime and soda and a glass with a small amount of cordial arrived and two bottles of warm soda water that was not a pint. My wife had a bottle of beer but no glass. I had to ask for ice, it was still a warm drink! The restaurant was full and at one point no one appeared to have food on their table, but takeaway orders were leaving regularly.The quality of the food was good but I think it had been left waiting to come out of the kitchen it was warm, not hot. I had a mixed grill that was described as sizzling which it certainly was not. I finished eating before my wife and they started to clear my food away before my wife had finished! When our bill arrived, I found they had charged me nearly £10 for 500 MLS of beer and less a pint of warm lime and soda! I feel that I paid top prices and got poor service.

I've visited Golden Moments a number of times and all I can say is that the owners and staff at this establishment are rude, condescending and incredibly confrontational. Do not visit this restaurant if you want a nice meal. The curry is tasteless, bland and expensive. The mother of who I can only assume is the owner is also like some sort banshee!

Nice food, good service, reasonably priced, good atmosphere. we would eat here again, seems popular for take aways.

Visited with friends and had a great time. The staff were friendly and polite. We started of with poppadoms and dips which were all lovely. There was quite a long wait for the food as it was busy but it was worth the wait. I had chicken tikka masala with pilau rice and naan bread. The chicken was excellent quality and nice big pieces. The sauce was delicious with just the right amount of spice to give it a little kick. The naan was also great and loved how it was served up in 4 pieces. One of the best Indians I have had. Highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful curry every single time. I would not go anywhere else for my Indian. Lovely ambiance when we eat in and staff are wonderful to us. I have the murgh makhani and it has so much taste and flavour! I cannot wait to visit again.

We’re visiting the area and thought we’d try and get a takeaway while on holiday. We saw the golden moments online and thought we’d give them a go. The food definitely did not disappoint! We had a chicken kurma, chicken madras, Tarka Dhall, pilau rice, poppadoms and dips. Everything was piping hot even with having a ten minute journey back to the holiday let. All the food was delicious. One of the tastiest takeaways we’ve had in a long time!

Never been here before so thought we would give it a try. Nice venue and the staff are friendly but not all very knowledgeable. Food was served in good time but was high on cheaper ingredients rather than the meat which was dissapointing considering their prices are top end compared to other restaurants. Will not be rushing back I'm afraid

I went on spec on a Friday evening. The chilli chicken was amazing. Ive never had a curry with such a fresh, almost fruity flavour. As another reviewer says, exceptional. My wife had a sag guran, that was also very nice, but completly different. However, if I visit again, it will be very hard to resist going for the chilli chicken.

A little quiet as we went on a Sunday evening, not many places open so glad to find this restaurant. Very smart decor, good service, but what mattered most was the fact that they use locally sourced meat - you could taste the quality. And they've got Cobra on tap.

My husband & I spent a few days in this area in September 2019. Our first evening we decided to go & get something to eat. We had a look around Ludlow at the various eateries. We found this place & it was the best choice. As retirees we have eaten in many Indian restaurants over the years but this one is a cut above. Very lovely staff, nice atmosphere & exceptional food. A really good varied menu. I just can’t express how good it is. Really fresh hence a wait but we didn’t mind for freshly cooked food. One of the best Indian restaurants we have eaten in. I highly recommend it.

We have been visiting this restaurant now for about 15 years on a very regular basis, and tonight as with every other visit the food was fabulous, the waiting staff great and the family who run the business, a joy to be with. Thank you.

Me and my husband unfortunately chosen to go here on Sat, when we walked in we where pounced upon to order a drink I don't think we had chance to sit, there was 4 other people in the place, we had 3 hippodrome a glass of wine and a water , the owner came and asked if we had ordered yet , I explained that we had not but I know what we wanted, a chicken Tim's curry , rice, chips ,Nan bread, the owner said no you have to order a main meal each , I said that I could not eat a full curry but he said no sharing, then told us to pay for the drinks and proportions and leave, he the put a bill for 16 pound on the table, we should of realised not to go there as it was empty and with his attitude I'm not surprised, do yourself a favor and go to the Indian a couple of doors up , that was packed out .

Really cannot remember ever walking out of a restaurant just a few moments after speaking to staff. My wife was shouted at just for asking if they can do dishes as vegan. No idea why needed to be so aggressive. Please don't visit this restaurant. This wasn't to do with being vegan. This was simply employing a nasty, aggressive and stupid man who obviously has issues.

4 people 5 popadoms pickle tray which was awesome flavour and all had a curry with rice my chicken karai was hot and delicious and only 2 garlic naan breads £87very expensive I thought but very good food

Having moved further away, we had not visited Golden Moments for about 13 years do I surprised my wife with a long drive over to The Golden Moments.

Following a glowing review in The Shropshire Star we visited this restaurant only to be most disappointed.

We found the owner/manager to be rude. The food is poor, it was floating in low-grade oil. The environment is nice (despite strange 'pop' music playing, rather than Indian), but that is not much help is the food is a let down.

Made a reservation for family traveling from a distance and were told that although they had the reservation there was not a table for us, further to this we were not offered another table or an alternative time so dined elsewhere and will never return.

The atmosphere was somehow hushed, the welcome lacking much warmth, our booking via Quandoo seemed not to have registered. Not a great start. But the tables were nicely spaced out, the seating comfortable, and the loos immaculate. Our waiter was dressed casually peculiarly in contrast to the quite smart plush environment. But his service was efficient and attentive.

Great food, the staff are always so welcoming. I would recommend. You can do it her eat in or take away.

I was impressed by the light and airy feel to the restaurant unlike other dark and crowded Indian restaurants I have been to before. The service and the food were both excellent.

We were staying in Ludlow and chose this restaurant over the other Indian in town - big mistake. Alarm bells rang when, although there was only one other table (of 2) occupied it took the waiter a long time to seat us. Drinks & poppadoms came slowly as the owner was more interested in talking to someone who was taking photographs in the restaurant. We told the staff 3 times that we were ready to order, but after 45 minutes and our beer and poppadoms eaten, staff has still not bothered to take the order. When the waiter finally came we told him we were fed up of waiting (there were still only the one other couple in the restaurant). No apologies from the staff only a bill for beer & poppadoms. On asking for a receipt were given a post-it-pad with just the total amount written on! We have never before walked out of a restaurant before and rarely give poor reviews, only when there are truly deserved. Perhaps the food is good, but certainly the service is to be avoided.

We went to the Golden Moments restaurant on a Saturday night and despite them being busy, they sorted a table out for us. This is a family run restaurant and the welcome was warm and sincere. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Would highly recommend if you’re in Ludlow.

Visited Golden Moments recently. Lovely friendly welcome. Restaurant almost full. Crisp white linen on he table. Spotlessly clean with people obviously enjoying themselves. Staff were very attentive and the food excellent. Resonably priced. Really enjoyed the whole experience. As it was so busy , we thought we might have had a long wait, but this was not the case. If you’re ever in Ludlow and fancy s curry? Then I thoroughly recommend this place.

This one is very much a cut above. Excellent food, service and a reasonable price. I'd go again if I didn't live so far away!

Terrible service and they just didn't listen to our allergy requests. We asked for something without nuts but they just gave it us. When they brought out another without nuts they charged us for BOTH

Staff found a space even though restaurant was booked for evening. Food delicious and service friendly and efficient. Great Indian cuisine

5 of us ate here. We had poppadoms, starters and mains together with 2 bottles of house white and 2 beers. The total bill came to over £190 which averaged out at £40 per person for a 2 course meal. Whilst the food is as good as always, it was by some considerable amount, the most expensive Indian meal I've eaten. I didn't keep the bill, but I recall a prawn main course was £14.95, add in the rice at £3.50 and you have a total of £18.45 for a mains. Like I say, lovely food, but it costs rather more than your average Indian restaurant. Will still come here, but I'll think twice about what I'm ordering.

If you think of eating here, do yourself a favor, go to the supermarket and get a take away. In fact if 'Golden Moments' plated supermarket take a ways, it might work...

Located half way down Broad Street you will find this restaurant which provides an extensive menu, primarily of Asian origin. Very tastefully furnished. Food at sensible prices and superb service.

It has been a while since we have been to this restaurant but had fond memories of our previous visit, happily we were not disappointed this time. We received a warm welcome from the owner. Our selections of starters was excellent and the tandoori mixed grills were generous in portion size and delicious.

Wow, myself and my son, managed to get in early on Saturday. We both agreed that it was one of the best , if not the best Indian meals we have both had. Thanks to Motin, Shamima and Uliah for looking after us. We will be back again, when we stay in Ludlow.

I’m not one for being critical of restaurants etc, but following my recent visit to this Indian Restaurant I can honestly say it was by far the worst Indian meal I have ever had.

Superb as always, chicken chat Moza main was very tasty and garlic naan was nice and crispy. Tad expensive but well worth it for the quality.

We recently went for a family meal. Having previously been we recommend it and had booked it ourselves thinking it was a safe bet for a good meal, how wrong were we.

We visited this restaurant on 13th May for a family meal. The whole experience was very disappointing and the owner was very rude!

We found this place tucked away and several of the locals had recommended it. It was spacious and comfortable with a a good choice on the menu. The service was OK and the food pretty generous with the portions. Nothing out of this world but perfectly acceptable.

We absolutely love the food here, it’s fresh, vibrant and the spices are so well balanced. It was packed out last night, but despite this the food was presented in a timely manner and we were well looked after. We also enjoyed the busy atmosphere, with a mix of young and old, simply having a great night out. We visit Ludlow once a year and we always eat here twice, it’s that good!! Called in to order a take away as the weather was too bad (Beast from the East week in the UK) for my wife and mum to go out.

We ate here last night unfortunately there were a group of very rowdy people in who were in and out of the door every few minutes to smoke! There is a lack of vegetarian dishes and although I ordered a mushroom bjaji for a starter...

I'm a big fan of Golden Moments. The food is always exceptionally good and the restaurant staff try very hard to provide the best service possible even in the run up to Christmas when they are very busy indeed.

We went with friends mid week. It was very quiet and not much atmosphere. The food was very mediocre and the service I would consider poor. The lady was sat reading a magazine instead of making sure we had drinks! We had to attract her attention to order another couple of beers and a bottle of wine! The head waiter/ owner? Was having a loud conversation with the waitress / wife? And laughing very loudly, not very professional. I don’t think I shall be returning

Really good food here, particularly the lighter 'healthy' option of vegetables topped with meat - an excellent idea! Wish more Indian restaurants would follow this example. Delicious poppadum accompaniments too. Good service, a very pleasant restaurant all round.

My first impressions upon arriving at this restaurant were that it was cold and heating was very minimal! Friendly service and good quality food but £10.70 for a standard lamb dopiaza without rice is in my view extortionate. Seek kebab starters were tasty and well presented but dry and with no sizzle! Disappointing! Parking very difficult.

We visited Golden Moments last night for my husbands 50th birthday. We had fabulous meal, really enjoyed by us all. Staff were great and attentive and choice of dishes was outstanding. We have visited Golden Moments many times, and we have always had a great meal.

Nicely appointed restaurant in good location near the town centre. Ww went early on a Monday night, so can't comment on the atmosphere, but the food quality was superb and very good service.

And very expensive. Very small Balti served in a small bowl and not in a Balti dish.Also charge you for pickle which comes with poppadums Small curry plain rice 2 poppadum £20. I Eat late on a Friday would have preferred to eat up the road but was full ,I now why .
