Food was lovely and well priced for it's quality I would definitely visit again. The chicken, bacon and cider Saxon pie was delicious and I loved the design for the pie top.

Just had Sunday lunch and all I can say is it was terrible. Not only the food but the loud bad language coming from the bar area constantly throughout our time there. Never again for me you take your own choice

Stopped by today to have a saxons pie having been frequent to them when they were in Skipton, can honestly say the food was top standard and the service from the staff couldn't have been any better. We will definatly be back, our dog loved her dog bowl too.

We have just arrived home after having Sunday lunch. The roast beef Sunday lunch was delicious, fresh vegetables and a side dish of pigs in blankets. The phrase eyes bigger than tummy spring to mind. Excellent choice of cider, beers. Dog friendly too. The staff were really friendly. Highly recommended if you like a traditional Sunday lunch.

Amazing food, fantastic staff and excellent choice of beers

A group of about 10 of us visit on Sunday occasionally. The service and food is generally good with an odd issue not worth mentioning however on our last visit the milk for the coffee had lumps in it and was off and a meal was missed off our order so arrived as the majority were finishing their meal. The barmaid was run off her feet and needed prompting for the coffee/tea but was apologetic throughout. The pub was quiet while we were there so our order shouldn't have posed a problem as had it been busy.

Fantastic lunch. Nothing too much trouble. Food amazing, cask ales 100% perfect. Pub very, very clean and welcoming, large beer garden, perfect in this heatwave. Caroline, the boss person, can't do enough for her customers. Always talking and making visitors VERY welcome. And she makes a big fusd of 4 leg visitors

The food here is reasonable, plentiful & delicious! Always super fresh. The Sunday roast is the best, tender beef, homemade Yorkshire puds, delicious roasties & veg. Very friendly, helpful staff who can't do enough. Highly recommend 👌

Great hospitality from the landlady again. We had a fab Sunday roast last week so decided to eat there again. My wife had the GF Sunday roast again but I tried the steamed Salmon, baked potato and veg. Unfortunately the veg was very firm this week for both of us. Will definitely be back to try again.

Stopped in for dinner and quiz night my hubbie was driving so opted for a chocolate milkshake he said it was lovly.

Amazing food & the most friendly of staff/landlady. She couldn't do enough for us. Portion size was belly buster haha, I had to undo my pants button! Great vegetarian & vegan choices too & the pies were to die for. Brilliant pub in a lovely location too. We will definitely be going again!!

Recent new Management team & updates are currently in progress. We called early afternoon & enjoyed two beautifully cooked rump steaks with tomato, chips, onion rings, mushrooms with a peppercorn sauce. Ice cream for dessert. Fully recommended. Hope to revisit when we come back to this area.
