The Golden Fish in South Derbyshire

Warm welcome, but food was poor. Chips cold tatsed like they had been cooked a while and then re dropped to waem up. Batter on the sausage was soft and soggy, she placed three fresh ones in while I waited but I got the one that had been sat there. Donner meat was cold and really greasy. Waste of money

Absolutely amazing customer service, friendly warm welcome from the staff, food was made fresh and tasted lovely. Good fair portion sized plenty of options on the menu one of the best chippys in Swad will be my new local.

I'm not one to rant however, today i ordered from the Golden Fish in Newhall today and the chips were like concrete, they were cold, the sausages were like eating a pot of pepper, the delivery driver didn't attempt to ring the door bell and just left our food outside in the cold.. natrually we rang up to talk to someone that was in charge, to be told that we are lying, and all were are trying to do is complain to get free food and our money back... the customer service was disgusting and they put the phone down... my dad then went down with his plate or food to show that we were not lying and to see if there was something that could be done.... the manager then got the police on my father and said he was being violent and aggressive which is far from the truth. I truly am gobsmacked with the way that this has been dealt with. Avoid the Golden Fish in newhall completely. There was no attempt to offer to re-cook the food, a refund or any type or apology that was given. Absolutely disgusting.
