Subway in South Derbyshire

The shop says it shuts at half 10 online but it’s always shut at least an hour earlier whenever I go?? Update your opening times

Flys all over the food, they've got rid of all the vegetarian options other than spicy patty, very little evidence of food hygiene practices. Staff all look and act stoned. The worst subway franchise I've ever seen

Lad serving was miserable and told us there was no chicken even though we could literally SEE chicken.

Just been here 22/6/24. Lad called shayal was workin. He was too busy to realise the toaster was going off. To the point where the paper it was in caught a bit of fire. And the manager was looking for another plate to toast subs on. Honestly don’t understand why you need to be rushed off your feet and cause safety hazards like that. Please take safety into consideration.

Went there last week. Short Indian bloke with glasses served me on Sunday. He was slicing my bread as if he was stabbing it. He made my bread squishy and it was so unappetising. His glove ripped and when I asked him to get another one he said it’s fine. He was only “smoking” before. Definitely won’t recommend going If you see him.

They unfortunately didn’t have the bread or drink I ordered but kindly replaced both with an alternative and gave a complimentary cookie for the change.

Just had my first and TBH probably last Subway Sandwiche .I had bacon and cheese as a breakfast ,served by a charming staff member, but in all honest tasteless to my palate.

Food didn’t even arrive, when I live in the village next to Willington, shocking, phone doesn’t work at the store either.. shockinggg

Went in and ordered food for me and children got to salad section to be told there was no lettuce or salad leaves or sweetcorn, I said it would have been nice to have been told that before placing order to be told by manager rhyddan that “it is 2023 and there was other salad!” In a very rude way. If that’s the managers attitude it doesn’t set a great example to team for customer service. The staff member who served me was very polite and professional. Will definitely be avoiding this branch in future

Arrived 45 minutes late. Second week there has been a delay, and second time food has arrived cold. One order not even on the requested bread.

They have new pouch things that my sandwich was put into which squashed it a bit and kinda made it look unappetising. But then again I might have been using it wrong, so who knows. Also, Subway changed their menu so there are standard salad bits and you have to pay extra if you want more jalapenos or something - then their 'secondary menu' is the subway we all actually like. So nothing wrong with this subway in particular, but I've not been to subway for a while and these two changes irked me somewhat. I would now think again before returning to any subway.

Ordered with good faith that the delivery times would be accurate it was the only reason I selected subway rather than other places. Disappointing….please just be honest with realistic timings to save disappointment.

Third time I’ve been and service each time was extremely slow. When we walked in, one of the members of staff was slouched on the chair on his phone not paying attention to customers coming in

An excellent young lady called Hafsah Fraz served me. She made me feel welcomed and pleased with the customer service. She is a brilliant and efficient worker deserves all the praise!!

Deathly slow, workers were incompetent for remembering what was ordered, dull and lifeless, and to top it all off, barely any sauce on the natcho’s and the cookies were cremated!! Avoid!!!

Food arrived late and in poor condition

Ordered a 12 inch sub via uber for delivery a mile down the road.Still was waiting after an hour and 30...Absolute joke of a place.

Gave us the toppings on the wrong subs and the “plant based steak” was real steak

There wasn’t one item I received on my order that was correct. My sun was missing cheese, sauce and jalapeños. My meatballs were missing cheese and jalapeños. My 12 cookies were missing 6 cookies. All in all absolutely awful

Absolutely awful. Didn’t even deliver any of my food at all. And there is no way to get in touch with a real person. It says I can get a refund for the food but not for any of the delivery. Absolutely disgusting customer service

Went for a salad box server was continually coughing no hand in front of mouth no hand washing or change of gloves Disgusting I dont want people coughing germs all over my food so I walked out Wont be going there again Wouldnt give it 1 star either

Subway is subway right? Well we visited after a stressful drive up from the Midlands to this random service station in Derby, now the fella that served us, Scottish man called Rhys I think, was lovely and helpful, best sub I've had to date too, very happy with my visit

I usually order from here and no issues, but today was ridiculous. It wasn't even the being late that was an issue, how its dealt with however, is problematic. I kept being told it was delayed, then that it would be with me by a certain time, it was another half an hour late and when I requested a refund because it wasn't turning up, they said they weren't going to refund me and have given me a free item. That's not very helpful when I'm not getting my food is it? A free item that wasn't even given to me by the way.

Food sent to wrong house, delivery and wanted us to go to the other house. Once we got the food, it was wrong. My partner can’t have sauce and her steak one had sauce mayo! My chicken and bacon had no sauce when I said sauce! So 2 meals wasted due to subways mistakes. Also the chips was under cooked!!

Young man left on his own at night halloween. Very scary on such a fright night. He tells me cannot come back once left shop for a refillable drink I paid for even though every other member of staff I spoke to said I could. He was so offensive in his manner how could they leave him alone.

Said 15 mins for delivery and then continued to get texts saying the food would be late. Had to ring them to ask what was happening. Order wasn’t quite right, ordered 12 mixed cookies and got 10 of all the same cookie plus a doughnut

I ordered dairy free ice cream but received one containing dairy, so I couldn’t eat it. The regular wedges contained about 5 wedges which were cold and had no seasoning on them. The sub was cold and had barely any sauce and didn’t contain all of the toppings which I ordered and the bread was chewy and tough. I will never order a subway delivery again.

Delivery was shocking over and hours wait,no communication till I called them.

They added sweetcorn to my sub when I didn’t request it.

Experience not good because of lack of staff. Chap there working on his own with queue of at least 5 people. Went in at lunchtime so leak time and 1 guy on his own. Disgusting tables and floors, lucky I was having a takeaway. Subway should be ashamed of no support or mismanagement of time

My food arrived on time and I got all the salad I asked for. Although, I did get given the wrong bread. I paid by cash and I'm unsure as to whether I'm eligible for a partial refund by card?

A busy place for a quick bite but Subway never disappoints!

3rd time I’ve given this place a go either via just eat or walking in, and it’s awful. Had to chase the order after it didn’t turn up - and surly people answering were ‘dunno why it’s not gone, sorr-eh’. Everything turned up over an hour late, cold and had to largely be thrown away. The heartbreaking thing was two young children left in tears again despite me warning them that the service/food was poor last time ‘we love subway, please’ they insisted. At £25-30 for an order, I expect better. But hey, let’s blame staff, put computers on naughty steps or post other idiosyncratic comments rather than actually improve, take responsibility and/or give people their money back.

Staff in the store and the delivery driver were polite. Food was on time and tasty. Spot on.

Driver didn’t give me a chance to get out my seat before triple knocking the door and just left it on the floor and walked off, leaving it on the damp door mat. Not ideal.

Absolutely shocking service!! Had to call them 3 times! We only live 5 minutes drive from the place- was told after 5 minutes of placing the order that it was on its way out- only to be then told that the delivery driver had took our order to Hatton! Safe to say we won’t be using again!

My order was wrong, and also part of it was missing.

Unable to get in touch with the restaurant and my food has not been delivered.

Nice clean and great tasting salads will definitely be coming again.😋
