Ate here last night table of eight food and service was superb. Excellent meal and have left overs for lunch today

My son and I ate here a couple of weeks back, and returned here with the wife this time as well. Great friendly service, and Great tasty food full of flavour. Have come here many times since the Goa opened and have never been disappointed.

The Goa is in a fairly remote location, so needs to be great. It’s been many years since I’ve been in and it did not disappoint on my return. Simply the best Indian restaurant for miles!. I had the lamb naga curry, big portion with lots of tender meat and full of flavour. Large portion of rice and one of the best naan’s ever. The restaurant was busy and service good. Yes, I will return again, it won’t be many years again!

We ate here a few weeks back. There was a party of over 40 which we thought might be an issue. No issue what so ever food was as good as ever as was the service

Oh dear me what is going on? Maybe the chef(s) are on strike? We arrived at 7, it’s now an hour and half and still no main courses. Can’t be bothered with this, will find somewhere else. Maybe unlucky but it’s pretty shocking service.

Food is brilliant, they did try giving us items we hadn't ordered. Service was extremely poor. We waited 40 minutes after finishing for anyone to clear the plates and ask if we wanted anything else. There were people who had food after us, who had been given dessert and the bill before we got sorted. Didn't receive the fresh wipes as per other tables. Took 10 minutes to get the bill, they did try charging for a bottle of wine we didn't have. Based on their service, will think twice before going back

We are here under the Eat our to Help Out Scheme and had a fabulous evening. Perhaps a bit more relaxed about the number of dishes and letting the kids order freely off the menu, it gave the kids the opportunity to really explore the cuisine. The food was lovely and the service was very good. The waiting staff were really friendly and engaging with the children. My only criticism would be the menu seemed to have several very similar dishes so perhaps wasn’t a big as it first looked.

Excellent food. The food is full of flavour and exceptional quality. You won’t be disappointed. The staff are helpful and welcoming. A lovely treat to go and eat out again after lockdown. Although I must add we had 2 takeaways in June that were as tasty as when we ate in at the restaurant last week. We will be back again soon.

I was so looking forward to our first takeaway since the lockdown in over 3 months and but this experience left us disappointed. The chicken Tika starter had hardly any salad and no mint dressing - and the mains were rather bland and tasteless. I couldn't believe it, after all the good reviews! Even the naan bread was heavy and doughy with no flavour! We're really not that fussy but meal wasn't up to the standard expected.

Don’t bother with their new takeaway service. Just been sat in the car park for an hour after my order time. It’s complete chaos!

We love this place! The food is amazing and they do some really great dishes that you don’t get everywhere. The service is always really good and I’ve never had a bad experience here.

The Fish with mango was to die for. My husband always has the same dish wherever he goes but even he changed his mind this time. It’s so tasty you must try it.

This is the second time I have been here with my wife and both times the food was fantastic and the service excellent. They produce dishes that taste so good. Highly recommended.

We’ve been here a few times, this time with friends for a Friday evening meal. All four of our ordered dishes arrived together and the verdict for all was very good. I particularly enjoyed the Garlic Chilli Chicken. That we go back is because the food is usually somewhere from above average to rather good even though a little on the pricey side. Whilst the service was timely and efficient the one disappointing aspect is that we were served by a variety of the staff and with some it was pleasant, smiling and no trouble whereas others had sombre appearance, no smiles, little or no interaction and looked like it was all a lot of effort. That these staff seem to be going through the motions is a shame and doesn't match the restaurant's clear intention to be excellent in every regard.

The restaurant provides a pleasant enough environment without being anything special although it was busy when we were there which generated a good buzzy atmosphere. The menu is quite extensive with reasonable prices but the food was just ok. We were a group of 4 and all of the dishes we ordered were just a little bland and, ultimately, a bit lacking. Staff are friendly and welcoming and there is lots of car parking.

The food was average (i had been told great things), the staff were poorly dressed and quite impersonal/rude, the internet booking system shouldn't give you the option to select a time for lunch past 1300, we were refused a drink whilst two of our party were still eating and we were hurried out of the restaurant (waiter pointed at the door saying yes please!). Very disappointed.

My wife and I have been coming here regularly ever since just after it first opened, more than twenty years ago, and I can honestly say that we have never had a bad meal. Whether the restaurant is packed (as it often is) or quiet makes no difference to the quality of either the food or the service, both of which are outstanding. We live some 38 miles away and still make the journey frequently because there are simply no restaurants nearer that come anywhere close to this level of satisfaction. Poppadums' are always warm and fresh tasting, all the Rice dishes are beautifully cooked and the Stuffed Parathas are the best I have ever tasted. The restaurant offers the usual range of Indian favourites, but to a standard that is far from usual. We have taken many friends there over the years and they have all agreed that it is the best Indian cooking they have ever tasted - including one friend who lived for several years in Goa!. The flavours are subtle and the level of spicing is gentle, so if you are looking for fiery heat this may not be your scene but in all other respects it is simply splendid. There may be cheaper Indian restaurants around but none which aspire to this level of cooking. Unreservedly recommended.

Arrived without booking for lunch. Had the Goa Balti chicken dish (the house speciality) and it was subtle and tasty with a great balance of spices. Also Classic Chicken Tikka with Cauliflower Bhaji and Pilau rice - just as we like it. Papadums were warm and fresh. Lunchtime very quiet but we had a Classic Indian meal served in a very friendly way by knowledgeable staff. Thank you

We’ve lived nearby for a year but came to the Goa for the first time with family and we were blown away. Lovely place, staff, food, cannot fault it.

I have heard amazing things about this restaurant so really looked forward to a visit. With it literally being in the middle of nowhere it needs to be either excellent or good value. It is neither. The food is ok, on a par with any Indian restaurant. The sercvice was poor, it was like they are doing you a favour and you need to be grateful.However the prices are ridiculous. I have no idea why you would specifically travel to this restaurant and pay the obscene prices (particularly for the drinks) for average food. I would recommend that you go to your local Indian and pay normal prices.

We’ve been here a few times. Food has always been delicious and service has been fantastic. Great selection on menu and they are really accommodating, adapting dishes for vegetarians. Staff really knowledgeable about menu and wines.

Went here with some friends for a Indian meal last Thursday evening. Last time we ate here was 20 years ago really good then and still really good.

We visited the Goa Balti based on our visit to the Palm just outside Marlborough and had read that they were linked.

The food was of great delight. Beautifully cooked and presented. Service was excellent and every effort taken to ensure our meal was throughly enjoyable. We will return

We used to be big fans of here. We hadn’t been for a while but it’s really dipped in standards. The staff are hard working but I’m old fashioned with manners. The food tasted super processed. We won’t be returning.

Had an amazing lunch here, the Sea Bass was awesome one of the best curries I have ever had. Service was great and very friendly.

Just in case anyone is in doubt about frequenting this restaurant you should give your head a mild wobble, get the missus in her glad rags, clamber in the focus and get going!!

It was a late decision to go out but took a chance with the goa Very warm welcome and the food was brilliant as usual.

We booked a table for my daughters birthday. We haven't visited this restaurant in quite a while, and were looking forward to our meal.the food as usual is very good. The service has slipped a bit since our last visit. The manager is attentive and friendly as usual, but the waiting staff could have been a little more friendly. Our main dishes arrived promptly but we had to wait nearly 5 minutes for the rice/ naan bread, by which time the rest of the food was getting cold. Apart from this, everything else was fine and we will return again.

We've only ever had takeaway but happy everytime. A good selection on the menu to accommodate everyone.

Went there for a takeaway with my wife and was not disappointed. Great service and friendly staff. Always compare other Indian restaurants to the Goa Balti but others never come close in taste or service. Can’t wait for next visit.

We went here just before Christmas, 23red December, which was a mistake. Absolutely packed and the restaurant was only just coping with the crowds. A long wait for the food, had to ask several times for drinks. We managed to hail the manager to ask him where our food was and it then miraculously arrived a few seconds later. He was trying really hard but the amount of people there was just too much for both the waiters waiters and the guests. The food when it arrived was fine but lacked finesse. We asked for some more mango chutney and it turned up as a pureed slop almost overflowing from the bowl. They were all just too busy. Shame as it has stopped me wanting to go back. Maybe on a less busy night, we would have had a better experience. We may never know.

We had a meal last night and it was brilliant as always. This is our Indian of choice although it involves a drive it is well worth it. There were six in our party and everyone enjoyed the food. The restaurant was mobbed but the service was attentive and drinks were served quickly. Well worth a visit.

I’ve been going to the Goa for the last 10 years and have generally had mixed feelings about the food.

Definitely worth going for a meal at The Goa- nice atmosphere, friendly staff and fresh, tasty curries.

For someone that isn’t a curry fan the food was great. The staff are wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family

Evening meal whilst on a business trip. Excellent meal with good service and reasonably priced. Spacious interior with a pleasant pre dinner drinks area. Out in the middle of nowhere but great access, tons of parking and easy to find. Would visit again.

....we keep coming back here for two reasons.....outstanding food & excellent service! That’s all it takes to keep us happy. Well done team Goa Balti, thanks for an excellent meal again and we will see you again soon.

The Goa Balti is surprisingly large and the 7 of us were accommodated very nicely around a nice round table with nice comfortable seats.

Went here many many years ago when I lived in the area and had a lovely meal with a group of friends. I went again this w/end with an old friend and was pleasantly surprised that it is still under the same ownership, such a rarity these days. Had another fabulous meal, the service was impeccable & I hope not to leave it so long before I visit again.

This Indian restaurant is in the middle of nowhere and is an old converted petrol station. Finding it you need coordinates however once there you see why many like it.

It’s best to book as this restaurant gets very busy. We arrived on time and were seated promptly. The staff were friendly and attentive, even though the place was very busy. We had starters and mains, a variety of different dishes, and they were all delicious. The restaurant is clean and nicely furnished, although the small tables that are set for four are somewhat snug and can get cluttered when the food is served. Our meal came to a shade over £100, which considering we had drinks, was very reasonable. We will return, however, I would request a table away from the entrance to the kitchen, the area is small and has a constant stream of staff passing through.

Pulled in for impromptu lunch, oh my word this place is amazing. Everything we ordered was tasty and well cooked and presented. Service excellent. Can't go wrong with thus restaurant we are definitely going back for dinner soon,

Supper on business. Still the same charming welcome, still the same modern/retro feel if that is possible. Very quick service and simply delicious food. I had the mixed starter, which was a prawn, a strip of chicken an onion Bhakti and a stuffed mushroom. First class. A chicken jalfrezi with keeps naan and lemon rice washed down with a couple of pints of Kingfisher, and all for under £30. Great stuff, cannot recommend more highly.

Our host at Manor Farm recommand us this restaurant. We visited a lot of Indian restaurants in Holland and Britain. This one belongs to the top. We always try Chicken Sag. Never better before. Side dishes also excellent. Good service and nice ambience. Value for money

We frequently come to the Goa Balti for date night, the staff are lovely, very attentive and happy to help or suggest item off the menu. The setting is beautiful and very romantic. The food is 5 star! We have never had a bad meal there in 7 years. Worth the drive if you are not local!

Driven past this place many many times and finally booked in for lunch. 10 of us and all found our meals delicious, good service and an interesting selection of dishes. Biggest king prawns I've ever seen. Really glad we finally popped in.

My family recently visited The Goa Balti and we all found the food to be very good and the service to be spot on also, although there wasn’t many tables so unsure of what they would be like at peak they seemed on the ball.

After a busy Saturday we decided at the last minute to eat out. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a booking at any of our usual haunts. My husband suggested The Goa, which we had heard about (mostly good things) but not visited.

4 of us went to the Goa on a Saturday night – simply marvellous. Four people, 4 empty plates, one of the best meals I have eaten in a long time. My choice was Murgh Jaipuri with Pilau rice – stunningly good.

We have been here a few times as it’s local to us and every time we have had a lovely meal with attentive service. The food is always a high standard, the menu varied and reasonably priced. Would recommend.

I have been there for the first time. For a starter, 2 drinks, 2 mains , shared rice and 2 naan breads we paid about £45. It was worth every cent! Food was delicious and the service was excellent!

Had a meal here last night. The restaurant was very busy and people were waiting in the bar for a table to become free. The staff coped very well and, although a bit slower than usual, not unacceptedly so. The food, as always, was fabulous. This is a really good restaurant and seems to becoming more popular. It would be a mistake not to book in advance.

My OH took me to the Goa for my birthday and surprised me with my family arriving just after us. A special family get together made even more special by some amazing food! I feel for quality, ambience and friendliness this restaurant just can’t be beaten. Loved it!!!

Truly appalling customer service but good food when it turned up. It took at least half an hour from being seated to even get asked what we wanted to drink, a further 20 minutes to get drinks, another 15 to get poppadoms ordered 35 minutes before. It was such a shame they were ignorant of customers as we almost left before we could taste their wonderful cooking.

Came her in a big group and the restaurant coped well with us - with the food coming out pretty promptly. Overall the food was good - but it was pretty standard Indian fare with nothing particularly memorable about it (unlike some of the other Indian restaurants in the area).

The Goa was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. The food was great and even though it was a Monday in late September the place was nearly full. Would definitely go back if in the area again

Had a wonderful meal at this superb Restaurant. It was quite a long drive from Newbury but worth it.Absolutely nothing I could fault with the meal, there were six of us and nearly all had different choices from the very full menu. None could f adult the taste, service and enjoyment.Can recommend any Indian Food lovers to try this Restaurant.

We visited this restaurant on a recommendation. We took some friends who were visiting from Australia. We booked a table in advance and went on a week day evening. The service was quite poor. It felt like the staff didn't really want us there and they weren't very friendly or helpful at all. Despite that, the food was absolutely superb - quite possibly the best Indian food I've eaten in a UK restaurant. I am torn. I would love to go back as the food is great but the atmosphere really wasn't inviting and you want a nice atmosphere when you are going to spend time somewhere.

Came for dinner on a Wednesday night, service was as always fast and friendly, menu offers a great selection and they are happy to liven up or tone down anything as you want. You can also ask for something not on the menu and they will make it.Use all the time, mainly for takeaways, but when dining in a good experience.

Not at all like its sister restaurant, the palm in Hungerford / Marlborough. Average place with an uninspiring menu. Although quite popular it didn't actually rise to the occasion or offer anything over expectations. lacked that buzz and something special. Value Ok but as I said - lacked the panache!

Flavoursome food, friendly, okay service. Impressed that food didn't have heat for the sake of it and if you were concerned about how hot something might be, they will cook to suit your taste.All of our party of four were happy with the experience and we will no doubt return soon.

This Indian restaurant has a lovely menu with lots of variety, the service was very good and their was lots of staff around which helped as it was busy.The food was delivered to our tables in good time and the aroma was lovely and it tasted just as good.We all tried something different off the chefs specials and we were not disappointed. Naan bread was so tasty and not soggy at all which happens in some places. Rice was light and fluffy and the food had enough spice to it. All in all a lovely evening and we will return.

We had such great expectations for the Goa. We ve passed previously and thought it looked promising and trip advisor reviews seemed to confirm that it was worth visiting. It's a nice venue, the staff seem friendly enough and the onion bharji and tandoori chicken were OK. This is where the good things stopped though!Every other dish was unseasoned, tasteless and clearly had come from one central pot of chicken slop. We are keen curry eaters and know what a curry is meant to taste like.... The chicken jalfrazei tasted like something that would be served for school lunch to our kids. I'm not talking just spice hear either, there was absolutely no depth of flavour at all. The chicken chaat was the same just with the chillies taken out and the garlic chilli chicken (special dish at £9.00) didn't seem to have any garlic or chilli and came with a cold sauce that we just couldn't work out at all. It didn't seem to be Indian in anyway that's for sure.The garlic mushrooms tasted of cream and nothing more - again the garlic seemed to have been missed outI wanted to complain but what could I say? All of the main courses need to be re cooked properly and you need to fire the chef immediately? I didn't think that would go down well! :)I know that not all the chefs here are Asian and this is clearly apparent in the amateurish dishes they are serving.My advice is to look elsewhere but you ll have to give it a go.

We went as a family get together for a meal in this restaurant after being recommended by The Palm in Marlborough.It was one of the worst decisions we tool to celebrate a family members birthday!Extremely Arrogant and rude staff. Had no interest in serving you!When we requested them to make the dishes a certain way the reply from the manager came back saying "should I just cancel your order" instead of accepting what we wanted!We drove 85 miles to experience one of the WORST EVER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOOD EVER"NEVER EVER AGAINDONOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE.THEY REALLY NEED TO LEARN SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND HOW TO SPEAK TO THEIR CUSTOMERS!!

Food was delicious I had lamb jalfrezi, keema naan and and rice, the lamb was perfectly cooked and the naan was light and fluffy. Staff were very friendly and great value for money I would highly recommend.

It's on the A342 and a bit out of the way for me but came highly recommended by friends.The service was very good and we didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive. The menu has a lot of choice with the usual suspects, chef's favourites and authentic dishes. I was a little cautious and stuck to what I know which was good but next time I'll be more experimental.

Food was okay, but missed the point of spice. Service was excellent, but no delivery available. Do nothing t not what else to say at this mark moment.

Don't be fooled by the location or building. The food here is excellent. Fearful of hot foods and naturally avoiding curry, a recent leaving do filled me with dread. But the staff made an excellent recommendation and now I can finally join in. The dish, Murgh Maghan - chicken, had flavour not heat. The service is amazing here and the food plentiful and delicious. Have been back serveral times and each time has been equally good.

I took a colleague here for dinner, I booked even though it was a Wednesday in early March just in case. Good job, we arrived at 20.15 to a all-but-packed car park. We had the final table, testament to how well the Goa are doing. Although busy, we were neither kept waiting or in any way rushed. The food and drinks were promptly served and a great meal ensued. You need to get in a car to eat here and I have been coming here for many years. In the past only booking on a Friday or Saturday night, mid-week however would now need to be considered to avoid disappointment. Restaurant spotlessToilets similar. Plenty of parking. Clean toilets. Well worth the effort to get there.

This restaurant is in the tiny village of Everleigh, on the A342 between Ludgershall and Upavon. I have been here quite a few times and they do some very nice curries but the service can slow especially compared with other restaurants in the area such as the Tale of Spice in Pewsey.

so where to start, the reception at the restuarant was excellent , very warm and inviting. The table we sat at was large and spacious. the waiting staff were very attentive and nothing was to much. The food was well cooked and tasty and presented very well.

Really enoyed the food we had. Had a chicken Shali, a madras and a tikka massala. All of which we would highly recommend as well as the normal sides. Busy place so would advise booking. Service a little slow, but in defence it was packed in the restaurant and the take aways were constant. Would definately go back

The Goa Balti is something of a hidden gem, however once you have eaten there you will be finding any excuse to go back. I have visited the Goa on a number of occasions and tried a variety of dishes. Whether you are a seasoned curry veteran or a curry sceptic there will be something on the menu for you. On my last visit, I was with a sceptic, he is now desperate to go back! The service and presentation are both top notch, creating a relax atmosphere in which to enjoy your food and company. Out of the way but definitely worth a visit, the Goa is the best curry for miles!

This place is the best Indian for miles, Staff are good and the food is excellent. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Worth the trip out.
