Quirky little pub, decent choice of drinks, fair prices. Could be a bit cleaner though

Great Sports Bar withplentt of screens and the staff look to accomodate your game choice where possible. Love tgis pub!

Good place to watch football matches especially when multiple at the same time as they have multiple big screens and provide areas

I didn't have food so couldn't rate it. Did have a nice couple of pints of Guinness though. Braw wee pub and decent music playing too.

We were only 2 drinking and asked for the Scottish football game to be turned on. Great they did it but we got charged £2.10 a round dearer on second round and for drinks we don't normally drink.

Great karaoke by John, good sound system. Bar staff is excellent, too!

It was OK and it was also very good for watching football because of the many TVs. Otherwise, rather sober and neutral furnishings.

We were traveling through Edinburgh and we chose this place to watch the La Liga classic. They put the game on for us, they treated us very well and the drink is incredible. They have bagged chips to eat, but snacking is very good. Super recommended.

Classic Scottish Pub. They put on the TV the match we wanted, of course self service, dirty toilets like any original Pub that respects its name! Reasonable prices, we won with a goal in 85 and I left happy. Arsenal

We enjoyed our evening in The Globe Bar. A bartender helped us to watch the Fenerbahce-Gillois match. Thanks a lot to him! (Also special thanks to bartender ladies who suggested us some local beers.)

We visited to watch the football (we prefer "local" pubs) and found it very friendly and loved the atmosphere. Would recommend if after a sports bar ambience.

I booked a table for 8 people to watch Argentina vs Italy even though Scotland played at the same time we had a table and a screen to watch the game. Nice and friendly staff. Thanks for that.

Put on an obscure football match for us and didn't change their mind when full of fans wanting to watch the champions League, great service, loads of great bottled beers and a great atmosphere, thanks! Updated: always the best place to get a specific game on, two thumbs up still after ten years of putting up with my silly requests 😁

Nice place for sports matches. Many screens. They put a lower status football match on and even put the commentary on even though there wasn't a big crowd. They do a great selection of beers. I went on a Sunday, it was quite quiet but can imagine it gets fun on a busy evening. Would recommend.

Great staff! Fun pub filled with colorful locals. They play live sports including UFC (sound on). One of my favorites in Edinburgh.

Ok bar for watching sport but the bar manager is really unpleasant. He's known for racially abusing customers. Avoid.

It was ok 👍 we had a good day there for the rugby although I booked a table for 8 when we got there it was a table for 6 ,when I asked about the table ,the barman sighed walked over to the table next to ours an spun a chair around and said there u go and walked off , although it was a good atmosphere the bar staff could maybe do with some lessons on customer service as everything just seemed too much for them and there was no food so we had to go and buy out ,on the upside the live music after the rugby was good 😀

Came across this pub while looking for somewhere to watch the football, great place, great atmosphere and people and prices of drinks are good aswell, we would definitely go back.

I was at this establishment for Karaoke Thursday night, with my partner, and had a brilliant time! The regular patrons were very friendly and polite and the gent running the karaoke was very good! Sang my heart out and stayed up too late. I strongly recommend you check it out, if you're in Edinburgh on a Thursday night!

I was at the Globe Bar yesterday with a works Christmas do. Thoroughly enjoyed it. We played Beer Pong, a new experience for me. I have been in this pub often in August during festival for comedy shows, crammed in like sardines, so it was nice to stretch my legs this time, as well as bending my drinking arm!

An absolute pudding of a doorman, only thing he’s fighting is the urge to not eat 3 takeaways a night. Even more clueless bar staff. Places smells of urine would avoid this hovel at all costs

Good Burgers and Drinks! But please get the sound for your two bays with the projectors sorted. It’s 2022 and therefore it should somehow be possible in a sports bar to watch football in the one bay and formula one in the other bay and BOTH with audio turned on. That can’t be a complicated or expensive fix but would make it much nicer!

Its a dive bar, but its a fun dive bar.

Great fish n' chips! Had to wait quite long on them though since there was some struggle with the kitchen. But the atmosphere surely made up for that!

Well what can I say am a celtic fan when we scored we jumped about noth8ng said but when rangers scored my friend jumped about bouncer said no more drink for him. And they talk about being racist in football think bouncer needs to adapt to its only a fame as other table rangers fan jumped about but nothing said to him but he left cause o bouncer attitude towards person in my party . P

Loads of TV screens and perfect for watching sports. The bar is located just off the Royal Mile and reasonably priced for drinks. Great selection of beers on tap and served in the correct branded glass - I like it when that happens!! It gets really busy during some of the big games, so might be best to book or turn up early. The TV screens are great quality and there are lots of places to get a good view. There are scarfs and flags all over the walls which adds to the sports bar vibe. There are not that many good sports bars in Edinburgh so this place is perfect for watching the big game. It does loose one star because it had a sign at the door saying ‘no football colours’. This bugs me that ALL football fans are singled out, the only sport that is singled out! Plus a sports bar that doesn’t allow football colours?! C’mon.

Great atmosphere, drinks pricey

1 star is too much for this bar. We were there today for the Rugby giving our hard earned money. At 19.30 one of the bar staff came over and put an A4 sheet of paper on the table with a reservation for someone at 20.30. When I queried this I was told you can move to another table this is how we make money. I have never come across this in my life. I said to him you have accepted my money all day and now I've to move? The reply was unbelievable. Avoid at all costs unless you don't mind giving an establishment your money until they have new customers and want you to move on!! UNBELIEVABLE

I popped in last night as I have everytime I'm in Edinburgh and it was the same as always, friendly staff, cheap booze and the sport on the telly. A proper boozer in a sea of theme pubs. Deffo the best choice during the Fringe in Aug.

I had a reservation at 7pm but got a bit before. I saw a random guy smoking out with a girl that I ignored. I was gonna get in to see if I could found a table when the guy TOUCHED MY LEG to say "your trousers are not allowed" 1. How your staff dares to touch women? that is very inappropriate. 2. I was wearing rainy trousers IN A RAINY DAY 3. Should I wear skirt and heels to go to a sport pub? Everything wrong. Obviously I moved to another pub. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Disgusting prices! Charged £3.50 for half a pint of lemonade. Yes, half a pint of lemonade that wasn’t even filled up to the top! They don’t even give you a menu with drink prices as they are so expensive! Never going there again

If I could leave less than one star I would, it is an absolute kip. Lots of Leary old men, thinking it was ok to touch and Lear over women. Avoid if you can, unless you are happy to be treated as a piece of meat. Bar is dingy, toilets are awful and only 1 or 2 had a lock on the door. Not sure if this was by accident or on purpose. But if you are a female, I would avoid. Total dingy hole.

We went for the comedy which was a mixed bag of good, mediocre and not so good. Still an enjoyable night and the drinks bill was cheaper than on the high street.
