Just for the casserole chicken soup noodle I ordered, it was not delicious at all. It felt like all the ingredients were thrown into water and cooked.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was excellent; I ordered the roasted duck, and my friends tried the beef and fried egg rice. Everything was incredibly tasty and felt like homemade food—full of authentic flavors! The owners were also very welcoming and friendly. We stayed late chatting, and they didn’t mind at all, making us feel very comfortable. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a genuine Chinese dining experience.

Wow. Excellent menu! Large selection of genuine Chinese dishes you wouldn't cook at home. There are no service charges. Fast and friendly service. Busy. Can do with better ventilation, but honestly, I was enjoying my food, I barely noticed the stuffiness. Small restaurant seating 30. Be back soon!

Absolutely delicious!! Wasn’t expecting much as I’ve been disappointed by many a Chinese restaurant but this place is authentic and fairly priced. Great service, food was fantastic. We got a beef noodle soup, and a salt and pepper calamari. Would’ve come back again had we found this earlier in our trip!

Very good food. We went two days in a row during our short trip. Vermicelli in broth 清汤米线 is super comforting. We tried both ribs 焖排骨 and brisket 牛腩 options, both meats taste great.

👍We were treated very well even if we were eating alone. It’s more delicious and affordable than Chinese food in London. Good food and service. ‘You get different service if you’re not Chinese’ is somehow giving hate. The servers are kind ppl they are just not native speakers

Full disclosure. Regular haunt for me. This is a proper hole in the wall type of place. Food is normally top notch with good portion to prize ratio. Friendly staff, it is cash only - so that can be inconvenient. It is very busy though Recommendations? - Peking pork chop - Fish head claypot, cod heads deep fried I think - braised beef claypot - sea spiced aubergine Friend says the noodle dishes are good

The aubergine and pork dish was amazing. As was the seafood and tofu. We also had steamed buns from the specials board. Really recommend.

The best RICE NOODLE restaurant in Edinburgh. I’ve had lunch/dinner/delivery for many times. You can probably find other dishes in other Chinese restaurants, but the rice noodle dishes here are unique!

The old lady in this restaurant is so rude, I even don’t know it’s just rude or racist. The chicken I ate was not fresh, it’s as hard as shoes. Not recommend.

Rice noodles, noodles with soybean paste, grilled skewers, and stir-fried vegetables are all delicious and very affordable! !

The food is good! Though the rice noodles I tried on different days taste quite differently (one day it was not too spicy and decently sour, the other day is way too spicy and not sour) so it’s not standardized. Not the most friendly staff. They sometimes clean cutlery next to you and it can be very loud (I couldn’t hear my friend talking to me). Plus no card allowed, only cash. I feel a bit discrimination against non-Chinese people from the staff.

British pound cards are not allowed to be used for payment. It can only be paid by cash in British pounds or WeChat, which is really impressive.

Very bad. Eggs were raw, rice was cooked but not close to being fried, ingredients were missing and overall quality was low. Mushrooms were good. I have received my money back.

Tastes good, reasonably priced, and large portions. Very authentic rice noodles and the skewers are very fragrant!

Valuable place to eat in Edinburgh.

Incredible authentic restaurant - food was extremely fresh and delicious. We had sour fish soup - the fish was tender and the sour veg was moreish. We also got greens with belacan and a huge plate of yummy chilli crab. Portions were generous and total bill was very reasonable for the amount we ate and the quality of the food. I really like this place and the nice aunty who runs it! You should bring cash or pay by bank transfer. Will be back soon, can’t stop thinking about the sour fish soup! Def one of our new favourite restaurants.

The food is delicious, but they told me I only can pay with cash. It’s not convenient.

Average food cooking level. But they ask customers to pay by CNY with a much higher exchange rate and do not accept card if you were an asian.

Not suitable for anyone to eat alone. Everyone you met will try to allocate you in some weird and narrow places, even the whole restaurant was so empty. Uncomfortable and unkind. The only reason not giving one star was I walked away instead of accepting it.

Huge portions you have to take home....cannae beat it

Wonderful interesting unique. Huge portions of crispy, crackly tasty goodness. What a treat. Portions are enormous. Order to share. Cash only (ATM around the corner)…. Now need a very long walk!

This is one of those places where you feel you have walked into someone's livingroom and not a restaurant, and I loved it. It's small but the tables aren't pushed together too much. You get a menu and pen&paper so you can write your order down, genius! The food was served quickly, generous portions and very tasty. I also got to take some of my main away in a takeaway box, perfect for dinner the next day. Cash only and there are multiple cash machines within 2 minutes if need be

I booked a table for five people at 18:15 on the Easter night dinner celebration but when I arrive 18:10 I had been told that the table already given somebody and just leave us there. Horrible experience not recommended

Excellent Cantonese food. They have a superb new menu, we tried two dishes from the new menu，they are very delicious and authentic. We have arranged to go back again for the lobster noodle. Yummy

Highly recommended! Very traditional flavor and will surprise you! Would recommend the Beijing Zha Jiang Noodle, Braised Beef Brisket Noodle, Lamb skewer, and Lamb Chop. Definitely would come back again!

Authentic and yummy chinese noodle and BBQ.

It is very seldom, if ever, that on finishing a meal you consult the menu to see what you might have on your next visit. That is how good the Rice Noodle Bar on South College Street is. This place offers such fresh, tasty and original oriental dishes. The restaurant, with warm welcoming patrons and authentic dishes is a great asset to Edinburgh.
