Stayed here for one night. The room was clean, comfy and tidy. We used the restaurant and the food was amazing. Great portions and good value for money. Drinks were also reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone. We even had an amazing view of the sun setting. Thank you.

We had a delicious Sunday roast and great dessert. The landlady was very welcoming and friendly. The two men in our group have dementia and she accommodated us by putting us at a quiet table and turning the TV down. It makes such a difference when people are understanding. Thank you.

With all my reviews over the years I am honest, I say what I see, hear etc. My family and I went for Sunday tea. We've been a few times over the past 18 months and were looking forward to having a nice meal etc. Where do I start... We were waiting nearly half an hour for 4 starters, no apology off the waitress. Mum sent her starter back and to be honest I would have as well, just looking at it, put her off. My son wasn't happy with his either which was the same as Mum's and he left half if it. Hubby enjoyed his garlic bread and my Thai cod fishcake was nice. We weren't asked how the starters had been. Had a bit of a wait for the main meals. The manageress brought them over and my Mum said something about the length of time we'd had to wait. Again, no apology just a 'curt' sharp response, stating that the chef had a lot of tickets and the food was cooked from fresh. The pub was hardly busy for a Sunday tea-time. The main courses were really disappointing, the roast potatoes were over-cooked, the parsnips were undercooked, carrots were cold. My vegetarian main course wasn't anything special. The other members of the family had roast chicken, everyone said the same thing about the vegetables and the chicken was disappointing. At no time did the waitress come over and ask how the meals were, just avoidant, body language is a lot more telling than the spoken word, believe me. We heard other customers complaining as well as by the look on their faces, they weren't happy either. We weren't asked if we wanted more drinks. We were going to have desserts but decided against it after the experience we'd had. We saw the manager at the bar looking over to us with a frosty face. When we asked for the bill, it was brought over to us. The female manager came over and she was told about the issues but she wasn't interested. She walked off and was heard to say 'its not my problem'. When my Mum had told her that we were not returning, she said 'that's your choice'. When you run a business, whether it is a cafe or a restaurant, you don't treat your customers like that. I have been to restaurants all over the world and poor service and poor quality of food has never been an issue. Staff should bend over backwards to keep customers happy and that is what keeps customers coming back. Staff must have realised how fed up we were and 2 meals had been knocked off the bill. If they hadn't, I would have told them anyway. We went to pay the bill and told the male member of staff about all the issues. It was obvious that no responsibility was being taken, more less had to force an apology out of him. I explained to him about the wait that we'd experienced. The poor quality of the food, the poor service, everything. I wasn't shouting at him, I was telling him assertively what the issues had been as he told me to 'calm down' and he did not take responsibility apart from a limp apology about what his colleague had said. The fact that other customers were complaining to the waitress says it all. The atttitude of all the staff was appalling. We'll go somewhere else next time that wants our business and makes us want to go back, but not to this place. They clearly are not bothered and shouldn't be in hospitality. Avoid like the plague.

Waited a long time for food. Had to ask how much longer it would be. Chicken burger advertised as coming on a brioche bun but came on a pre sliced Warburtons barm. Chicken was chewy. Beans on the cheese and onion pie came cold and chips wasn’t cooked. Only meal that was ok was fish and chips. Wouldn’t be returning. Meant to be a good restaurant but definitely not.

Came here for a meal and didn't like the powdered mash and undercooked peas. The food was like it just came out of the microwave, not nice at all. Service was OK, but not the best. I won't be going back 👍

This place was a random stop off. The place in my opinion, its a local little place with regulars. The lady on the bar/waiting was beyond polite, helpful and very customer friendly. I absolutely loved the sauce on the mushroom tagliatelle. It was quiet after a busy day, the main thing I was put off was the continuous looks of the regular (I can only assume) couple. It was quite off putting as it is a place we've never been prior. It's a bit off putting whilst eating, even to the point of looking over their shoulders, it was random. It could of been because we wasn't from the area or not but that's the main complaint I had, it did make me a tad anxious and I probably would of been back had it not felt so pressuring that they was more interested in our presence rather than the food they was eating. Nothing against the establishment just the regulars, or that one couple imparticular. It is pub food.

Family meal for my son's birthday. The food was lovely and portions are very generous. When my husband's meal arrived, his meat dish was in an earthenware pot on the main plate. Chef was kind enough to take the meat pie out of the pot and replate it so my husband who has a disability could eat the meal more easily. There were a few things that were forgotten by the waiting on staff, including cutlery and plates for my son's birthday cake but I am not surprised as the young lady who was waiting on the tables was rushed off her feet. The young lad who was also working, did not do much, felt sorry for her as she was doing her best. The ladies toilet need a bit of a revamp and one of the toilet doors did not shut so I had to keep my hand on it in case someone walked in. A man who I presume was a manager apologised to me as one of the decor light fittings had fallen off the wall and nearly hit my head. It had happened before apparently so there may be a naughty ghost hanging about! It would have been nice to have been asked by staff where the meals ok etc but didn't get asked. Overall the food was really nice, more vegetarian healthy options would be great as in line with a lot of other pubs, its the same vegetarian lasagne, penne pasta, veggie burger, it gets boring having the same options. The car park needs resurfacing, not enough spaces either, couldn't see any disability car parking spaces.

So delish! I was thoroughly impressed by their tandoori chicken with flatbread. The chicken was tender, juicy, and infused with aromatic spices, while the flatbread was warm, soft, and perfect for scooping up the flavorful meat. The dish was beautifully presented with vibrant vegetables, adding to the overall appeal. For anyone seeking bold, authentic flavors, this dish is a must-try. Soooo good!

Leaving a review as I was unlucky to feel very ill after dinner at Glazebury. I had overcooked Gambas in sizzling oil as starter and chicken in peppercorn sauce that had imbalance of peppercorn and cream ratio, it ended up burning my insides and stomachache afterwards for hours. The service folks are nice but it took forever to receive our food (half an hour for appetisers, an hour for mains) when the restaurant section only had about 5 guests total. There was also an unappealing detail of a speaker in the corner of the room with a towel on it presumably protecting it from moisture/mould that's formed above it (picture attached). The location is great, but unfortunately we don't intend on coming back due to the sickness after the meal.

OMG! Called in here because where we were going was rammed, and we were not disappointed! The roast beef dinner was huge and gorgeous... just what you want for a Sunday roast! We had the Cauliflower cheese between 2 of us, and that was a bit different, but in the way that makes you want to go back and have it again so you can work out what was different about it! We also had the sausage and mash which could not be faulted at all! Everything was well cooked, piping hot, and didn't touch the sides! We'll be back!

I’m so disappointed and reluctant to leave this review although I must be true to our experience and measure that against our expectations which were based on the establishment website. We expected good service and tasty home cooked food, made by the resident chef. We sadly didn’t receive good service or quality food. The food tasted of absolutely nothing. The potatoes and veg were unseasoned - the meat (beef) with the roast dinner had been sliced by laser, explaining it being factory cooked and cut, explaining the lack of any taste, gravy was thin brown water. The service was poor, forgetting to cook (heat) one of our meals, order which led to uncomfortable wait for one of our party. We waited over an hour for our starters and were told that this related to only having one chef - I don’t see how a chef was utilised in our food prep as it was clearly all freezer to fryer/microwave food. We will not be returning to this pub which is a shame as local people deserve good service and quality food

Went for a family meal on Sunday, after looking for somewhere different to try. Spotted the menu for this place online, which looked perfect, but when we got there, it turns out they use a 'Sunday' menu instead, which was disappointing. However, the service was very nice, lovely staff, although the food took a long time to arrive. My prawn cocktail lacked any flavour, other than that we were all very happy with our food. Also the restaurant is in a separate room from the pub, very clean and is decorated nicely.

We just stumbled across The Glazebury following a visit to Bent’s as we fancied a pub lunch. We were met by Sue, the owner who welcomed us and showed us to the dining room where there were a further ten people having meals. The dining room has lovely decor and was nice and warm on such a cold wet day. We decided to go for the 2 course meal and had a starter and mains. The beer battered mushrooms were gorgeous and the rag pudding (a savoury dish, not a sweet) which is a real Lancashire meal was superb. Great to see that the hosts support the military veterans. We will certainly be back soon. Thank you

Held a quiz night for our local community group and had a great evening. Made to feel very welcome and staff went the extra mile to make it an enjoyable evening! Looking forward to more evenings like this one!

Best coffee & cake experience I’ve ever had wonderful selection of cakes (hazlenut & chocolate bun was to die for !! Cinnamon bun was a clise second !)

Very overpriced and under sized portions meant to be a cafe not a restaurant. 2.50 for a can of Fanta is ridiculous, had finished food when they brought missed item , chucked at us, no apology nothing, worst place in miles just about ripping off not providing quality or value

We had the so called £7 Sunday Lunch. it was told to us that the kitchen was short staffed. So accepted the wait for food but didn't appreciate the cold meals and poorly cooked meat with hard vegetables. Didn't complain at the time as didn't want to spoil the family meal further. Was horrified when the bill arrived and the cost of 'extras' became clear. Cola £6, wine £9.50. what with desserts the meal came to over £140 for 4 of us. OK if you were receiving fine dining but a so called £7 Sunday lunch - just ridiculous. Might have been a bad day but will not be revisiting.
