You do have to pay to access and help maintain the pier which is a rightly praised beautiful Victorian structure with, on a good day, wide ranging views across the Bristol Channel. But it’s also worth it to be able to eat at ‘The Glass Box’- an almost equally interesting example of architectural imagination. Lucky with the weather this week we were able to sit outside and enjoy the views and a perfect light lunch - Tuna and Red Onion Baked Potato, Coleslaw and nicely put together salad. Simple enough but not always presented with the same care and thought as the pier culinary team version. Everyone we came across from server to kitchen was helpful and friendly - can’t ask for more.

Very generous bacon and sausage baps, good value for money, lovely location and friendly staff. If I was being critical could do with a bit of background music as it was very quiet and lacked a bit of atmosphere although it was very quiet and early when we were there. Free access to the pier as well between 8.30 and 10am, definitely worth a visit!

Wanted to eat fish and chips on the beach - but the weather wasn’t conducive ! so went to the pier . The restaurant can only be accessed via pier entry ( there’s a fee) however we wanted to walk on the pier anyway and paid You can see the pier and sea from the restaurant and the quality of our fish and chips was excellent.

Outstanding fish and chips beautifully presented. The fish had a delicate batter and was so tasty and not overcooked. The chips tasted like old fashioned hand cut chips and were crisp but tender all the way through. The best fish and chips we have had in many years and exceptional service to add to the delightful food.

Fabulous fish & chips! Great position on the pier. Highly recommend a visit. Book a table, but be aware you need to pay to get on to the pier as well.

Enjoyed a fantastic lunch at the Glass Box today. The food was excellent, my friend said her scampi was the best she's ever had. I had jacket potato with cheese and beans. It came with salad and homemade coleslaw and was delicious. Staff really friendly and helpful, location absolutely stunning.

It was a very wet day but we had a warm welcome. The menu is limited but cooked to order and very well presented. I had the classic fish and chips which was a lovely large piece of cod on a ample portion of well cooked chips with peas and tartar sauce. My wife had the breaded prawns and salt and pepper chips . This dish was also well presented and a large portion. The salt and peper chips came on a bed of wilted sweet pepper rings which gave the chips an interesting twist The Glass Box does a range of starters and mains but no desserts. When it is dry the views are good and you can eat out side as well as in the restaurant. Daureen the server that day provided a very smooth and efficient service. I would highly recommend the Glass Box. Pre booking is recommended as it is a very small restaurant. It is a bit of a tight squeeze in a wheelchair but manageable. Toilets, including an accessible one one, are on the floor below but there is a lift.

We hired the glass box for a 30th birthday party. Staff really friendly, helpful and accommodating. The buffet lunch was amazing, more than plenty to go around. I can’t praise them enough and would certainly use The Glass Box again.

Venue looks nice. Order at the till like any pub. Food 'served' but at least it was hot. Fish & chips costs £15.00 and then a small pot of tarter sauce is an additional £2.50 but it is 'home made' as if that justifies adding an extra 16.5% to the cost of the meal!. No wonder it was quiet on a warm autumn day when you already have to pay the entrance fee for the pier (2 x £3.35) before you can even get into the eating establishment. Pretentious, and not recommended.

Best fish and chips for ages... congratulations to the chef. Cooked and served beautifully. Reasonable price and a huge portion. Smiling waiting staff too. Only in the area today but we'd be regular visitors if we lived locally. Everyone else's food looked great too 😃

The restaurant is situated at the start of Clevedon Pier, with great views over the the sea and along the pier, street parking only, the restaurant has limited opening hours. Visited for midweek lunch, booked in advance as only has 24 covers (and was full at 12.30), limited menu, we ate fish, chips and mushy peas - well presented, good sized portions and v tasty. An excellent lunch, will revisit.

We pop in to The old inn for lunch , having not been for quite some time, I must say we had such a warm and friendly welcome , the staff were very helpful and enthusiastic the food was homemade not some mass produced pre-frozen stuff . We both had the veggie curry and it was wonderful just the right amount too , it was a cold afternoon and to sit by the fire and eat the curry was just what we needed we will be back soon promise thank you for a lovely lunch.

The cafe was open late for the carnival night. My band 'Guillotine Dream' were due to play a gig at The Electric Banana and after soundcheck and a couple of pints in The Duke of Oxford we stumbled upon this cafe. Although two of our members live in Weston and I lived there for 20 years it was our first time in this cafe. Our local friend who was with us had also never been in there. We were greeted very warmly by the staff (fellow midlanders btw!) and were served very reasonably priced and very tasty food. We didn't have to wait long. My friends had beef stew and I had all day veggie breakfast which came with a coffee and toast and was delicious and filling. They said the stew was lovely too. I would recommend this cafe wholeheartedly! Thanks to the staff! Ian.
