The Gilpin's Bell in Enfield

I've been here a few times and it's been ok. The prices are pretty good and the staff always seem nice. However, I went there with a friend last night and it was absolutely freezing most of the customers were sitting in their coats and hats whilst in the staff area they had a log fire going so that they were nice and warm, the customers comfort was obviously not their first priority. Eventually little electric heaters were brought out but did very little so we left and went to another pub. This is definitely a summer pub so I'll be back next summer

Nice place to meet and catch up with friends for drinks and a bite to eat. Very helpful and polite blonde with glasses serving behind the bar. Typically Pub food was served promptly and with a smile

Is pub is very good for Sunday dinner best Sunday dinner in Tottenham with a good lovely garden outside nice one hot days have karaoke 🎤 night And entertainment and music 🎶 at the weekend some time very nice staff and nice landlady

Superb food and drinks a very SPURS pub , staff helpful and great location for the stadium. Will deffo visit again maybe on a match day for big atmosphere 👍🏼👍🏼

Second time coming here and much better in the summer as the beer garden is lovely. Came here as not to far away from us and we know drinks and food is a reasonable price if your on a budget. We sat outside, loads of places to sit and was a nice evening. Food was great and drinks as expected. We had pitchers of cocktails, they are lovely for the price but at times some are strong and others were watered down with alm the ice and soft drink. Otherwise was fine.

Good local pub with very reasonable prices. It has a large garden area if you want to sit outside, also plenty of seating inside. Good selection of beers on tap. Staff are always very friendly.

We visited last month and couldn’t stop thinking about their food! We returned a couple of days ago and the food was just as good as we remembered if not better! Cooked to perfection, we wished we lived closer because we would visit everyday. Every time we are in the area it’s a must to visit this place! Amazing food and great friendly staff. A wonderful place to eat! Highly recommended and great value for money!

Average pub with average food, the service was quick and the staff were polite and friendly. We order mains and sides, but the sides did not come out with the mains. Google maps said it was a Wetherspoons, however that was a while ago. Overall it was ok.

Had a very nice pint of San Miguel & a ham sandwich which was supposed to be a cheese & ham sandwich. Must have run out of cheese. The best thing about this pub is the price of food & the drinks is very cheap.

This is a nice pub, very cheap drinks. Was paying double and add some the night before for the same drink. They do a nice Sunday roast with good portions. Staff are friendly and service quick. Good place to watch a game. Gets busy match days. With only Spurs fans allowed.

A reasonably quiet place during the day. Only Tottenham fans are allowed in whenever they are playing but otherwise all are welcome

Did a stadium tour so popped in here after for a quick pint, service was efficient and drinks very cheap.Sat outside, was nice seating area and spacious but a weirdo outside so we came indoors.Indoors they had sky sports news on so we finished our pints and sat watching this.Music in here was very good and seating was comfortable.Not bad pub.

Phoned on Saturday to book for a funeral wake for 65-70 people on a Tuesday 13/8/19 afternoon. Was told "not a problem" just costs £6.50 per head buffet with £150 deposit but call in on following Monday with deposit etc. So cousin called in morning 5/8/19 and paid £150 said deposit. 2 hours later a very apologetic Kerry phoned to tell us that it's been cancelled due to double booking. We've had all the mass cards printed at great expense. Now we have to search for another venue. Not bad enough experiencing a bereavement but this on top. Bloods boiling. Boycott this pub!

Went here before a recent Spurs game. Had not been here for a while due to Spurs playing at Wembley for a couple of seasons. Took us a while to realise it wasn’t a Wetherspoons anymore but just didn’t feel right. It used to be packed but not now. Used to have loads of different real ales but not now. Used the toilets before the game and only on the third one did I find any toilet paper. Went back after the game so a good two hours later and still the toilet paper had not been replaced despite there being plenty of staff who just don’t seem bothered. Next time we go to a Spurs game we will try a different pub.

My companion and I dropped in here recently for a quick drink and a quiet chat. the choice of beers was pretty good as were the Brandy's ( my cmpanion's preferred tipple). Whilst we were there we decided to have a quick bite to at and both chose the Spanish Omelette which was very nice - a pity it took so long to arrive - it must have been 30 - 40 minutes. Would we go there again - yes, but only for a quick drink.

Went in for a beer before the Spurs v Ajax game this week. Saw the menu and decided to grab a bite to eat. Was just about to order when I saw a mouse under my table. Got up and then saw another mouse under the table next to mine. Left immediately without finishing the beer.

Este tiene que ser el peor lugar para comer y beber, vi un mouse en el área del bar que, para mí, dice que la cocina tiene muy poca higiene y limpieza, que el personal no era nada acogedor, que el gerente insultaba como un soldado en un cliente no está seguro de si estaba jugando, pero no es algo de lo que deba ser testigo cuando vaya a tomar una copa y comer algo rápido.

Encantador establecimiento, excelente lugar para cualquier ocasión, ya sea para una comida o unas copas. El personal del bar y el personal de cocina son amables y brillantes en su trabajo. La comida es mucho mejor de lo que solía ser. No espere mucho tiempo, el personal sirve lo más rápido posible, ya que hay ocasiones en que está ocupado principalmente en los días de partido.

Stopped inhere to get something to eat. Food finally arrived after 30 mins wait. Food was ok up until, I saw a mouse run out of the kitchen and into the bar area. We left our food and left. Hygeine needs improving.

Always come here when I'm over from the US. Seemed a lot better than the last time. Staff where friendly, selection of beer good. Cheap prices as before and plenty of room. Good local pub. Hope it stays that way.

Fuimos a tomar una pinta rápida y un poco de almuerzo en la víspera de Navidad. No nos dimos cuenta de que el pub ya no era un Wetherspoons pero eso no era un problema. Había alrededor de 15 personas allí, nos dieron bebidas para los 4 de nosotros y tomamos un menú. Después de pedir una hamburguesa y 3 envolturas, esperamos 50 minutos antes de que llegara mi hamburguesa y una de las envolturas. La comida era buena. Nos sentamos y esperamos las otras dos comidas, 10 minutos más tarde, llegó una segunda envoltura y me dijeron que la tercera se había perdido de la orden y se llevaría lo antes posible. . ¡pobre! ! . Con el tiempo llegó. Nos quejamos pero no se dio ninguna razón. Pedimos otra ronda y pedí un café! ! 20 minutos después llegó. El pub estaba vacío; ; Si este es el estándar de servicio cuando está tranquilo. Yo evitaría ir cuando está ocupado; ; . No vamos a ir de nuevo. . una pena que solía ser un gran pub.

Massive pub, really poor food, friendly staff... If you want a burnt omelette and horrid frozen chips this place is a winner. The internet said it was a Wetherspoons and it definitely is not

Mientras viajaba a Edmonton la semana pasada paré en este pub antes de una comida. Comí una cena de carne asada, y fue excelente. El desayuno de todo el día que noté también se veía muy bien. Es un pub grande y está cerca del Tottenham Football Club en Fore Street y tiene recuerdos del Tottenham alrededor de las paredes.

No había estado aquí por un año. En mi última visita el pub estaba lleno y que era un gran lugar para ir. Cuando fui ayer el lugar estaba prácticamente vacío y el camarero tenía una actitud terrible. Probablemente la razón los números de clientela son reducidos. Los pubs están cerrando por todo el lugar, y si esto conlleva en este será el siguiente para ir.

Buen pub local con personal muy amable y atento. Gran zona exterior para los meses de verano. La comida es inconsistente como han cambiado los equipos de cocina 2 - 3 veces. La comida no era tan buena como la anterior, pero aún así el equipo de cocina de buena relación calidad-precio, limpio y tan bueno como que te dan en cualquier Wetherspoons. (no un Wetherspoons anyore como su propiedad de una cadena hotelera diferente

Ok for a pint or few before a game. Food is alright. Honestly priced. Large. Car park. Shows the football. Easy to get to the ground which is about a 5/10 min walk.

i ordered some food and it took over 45 minutes to arrive and when it did it was disgusting the kitchen staff left me waiting to be served while they make out on the sofa which I do not wish to see when I come into a pub.the tall waitress was moody and talked to me like I was something off her shoe and very rude, the pub would benefit new kitchen staff who at least enjoy there job. I can say that the bar staff were very friendly and very cheerful I was happy to hand over my money for a drink and I will go back there to drink but not for food when I did get it it was cold over cooked (look like it had been recooked) and a load of red seeds or something all over the salad and something all over the chips the burger had no taste at all so restaurant rubbish the bar 100% wonderful the manageress apologised for the way the food came out and could not be helpful enough fab job to the manageress and bar staff.

El pasado menú weatherpoons era bueno, pero no sirve en esta rama por alguna razón. In response to previous review below every action is taken to ensure drug use is stopped and are working with local authority to prevent this. The Gilpins bell plays music but at a reasonable level all live sport is shown.

This place was pretty much drug free after a lot of effort from Wetherspoon staff, in the beer garden, joint smoking is back, drug deals etc the loud music is back, being played by disrespectful people. Only a matter of time before there is a incident here again. You need to take control now, I seen all this before.

Closed down and reopened by some other company, not quite as slick as wetherspoons. But still cheap with a good selection of beers. Food is leased out to a couple of Turkish girls who turn out London caf food which is not bad. Probably preferred it when it was a wetherspoons, but at least it's not closed down anymore.

What you see is what you get. Cheap drink, good food selection, less of a locals pub than others in the area.

I work away from home and this was one of the few places a single woman could have a drink or something to eat in the area. Always seemed busy, bar staff treated me with respect and did not make me feel uncomfortable being there alone.Wetherspoons, you have made a mistake here.

I had a stake which was tastey and knowing that it was cooked exactly how i wanted it which was medium cooked. Overall, good quality and decent price? What can you ask for.

Located close to the Tottenham football stadium, this place is busy. Be mindful of match days if you visit. I was with a friend. The food was tasty and served on time. I'd definitely call again.

JD Wetherspoons known for being good value for drinks and food but they need to up their customer service! The staff in the Gilpin Bell don't seem bothered about anything! They appear to be doing the customers a favour by serving them! I have visited a few JD Wetherspoons in various postcodes but these staff are atrocious! Bring in staff who represent the company and their values.

good food and a good selection of beer what more would you want in a pub.. some nice staff some not.. door men and the half cyprus half irish guy behind the bar were very nice lol.. its a lot way to tipperary lol... see ye again sometime

Estava a andar pela Londres e peguei o Bus 259/279 Sentido Edmont Green e encontrei este belo lugar para tomar uma cerveja bem gelada e ver o jogo Manchester X Chelsea e olha me surpreendeu positivamente, lugar agradavel, delicioso e amigavel. Voltarei mais vezes

Went to the Gilpin today Wednesday 30 December 2015 , at around 2pm was served by the shift supervisor 9 sorry i dont remember his name ) this i have done regularly over many years always polite staff and good food but was let down today made to feel very intimidated . Ordered our food , no problem was asked if i wanted any drinks so this was my exact reply yeas please can i have a pint of Thatchers Gold, a pint of Kronenburg and a Lemonade , paid for the food and drink went to take the drinks to our table and had to ask where the lemonade was the bar man replied " its in the larger " so i repeated exactly what drinks i had orderd he said no you asked for the lemonade in with the larger , i said i did not , put it this way i know what a Large Top is and if i wanted one i would have asked for one . What upset me was not the mix up easy to have miss heard me no harm in that but the way he treated me saying " its no problem don`t get stressed and upset about it " " why are you making a big thing if it " them went to get the glass of lemonade and proceeded to tell another customer about me THAT IS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND OUT OF ORDER ! I can assure you i was not making any BIG THING OUT OF ANYTHING , that`s not my style i run an internet business and know all about customer service i do not discuss other customers business , good or bad ,with other customers . Food was very good , lady who brought out the food was lovely , gentleman who cleared the table was really nice .I shall come back again because i believe in supporting my local pub and hope the barman learns some customer service , may be he was having a bad day , i dont know but was still OUT OF ORDER.

Avoid.com This is not a place I would recommend anyone eats in. If you have the burger it comes out burnt or under cooked and greasy enough to put one on each sole of you shoes and slide down the steer on!

Came here with the family for dinner, plenty of seating space available on the day, food came out quick and all at the same time which is always a plus, had the Ceasar salad with added bacon which was superb, would come again.

The Gilpins Bell is located on Fore Street and close to White Hart Lane Station and Silver Street Station. Visited for a middle of afternoon Father's Day meal. It wasn't busy considering it was Father's Day. The food came within 10 minutes and I had the lentil, mushroom, mozzarella and pumpkin seed roast with roast and mash potatoes, yorkshire pudding, mixed vegetables (peas, carrots and broccoli) with vegetable gravy. I enjoyed the roast but the roast potatoes were too dry and tasteless. There was about 10 empty tables around that required glasses and food plates to be removed.I have visited when games are screened and the menu is limited but great atmosphere. The ladies toilets are well decorated and always clean. Overall I would visit again and I feel some staff can benefit from customer service training.

After waiting quite a while at the till I finally managed to order a steak - had to get sirloin because they didn't have rump - well done & a Caesar salad.... food came quickly however the steak was raw & full of blood. We mentioned it to the waitress who took it back to the kitchen.... few minutes later the same steak (you could see it was the same from where we cut it earlier), this time with no cutlery... asked the waiter for it and guess what, he forgot. So had to go back to the till & ask for cutlery. Steak not very tasty, Caesar salad was good. Service... not great.

I ordered a Caesar Salad, it was kosher, it didn't have any bacon on it!!! Food average, for what you pay for. Pleasant atmosphere.

Bit of a shame it's in a run down area . Food ok drinks cheap ok for a social night out probably won't g again though

We come here every Matchday. The beer is always good. We sometimes have food, never been unsatisfied. Burgers are good, all the curries on a Thursday Curry Night are very good. Staff are very friendly, despite the number of people on a Matchday! they are always friendly. The manageress is doing a great job and alway has time for the customers. Making this a great place to drink and eat. Keep up the good work!

This is much like most Wetherspoons really. Has a decent garden and the inside of the pub is in sections so never seems too crowded or noisy. Staff are generally cheerful and friendly. Had a few beers there and no complaints. Very occasionally had lunch in there and the food came out quickly and hot each time. Gets a good mix of people at lunchtimes whenever I have been in. I think one thing that makes this pub shine a bit brighter is that it's the only decent pub in the area.

The pub serves Ok food but will increase prices and limit menu on match days and finding a seat is a joke they do sell a decent pint if you dont mind waiting and waiting good beer garden in summer, have found a new gem of a pub to use match day but will not ruin this by telling you sorry keep looking coys .
