We had a group of 24 people with a gluten and a nut allergy and they were fantastic! Delicious food, amazing service, and they were fabulous with our allergies. The team worked to make sure there was no cross contamination for the allergy meals and didn’t even seem flustered with that extra bit and our large group. Excellent food based on comments from all in our group and we tried a variety of different things.

Avoid this place like the plague.. We asked for soup and it was inedible. Supposed to be tomato and red pepper.but it was tasteless cold and congealed. Tables were dirty, no sign of them being cleaned. Two of our party left without being able to face eating anything and the others left most of their soup. The worst place I have ever been in for food.

The Ripoff Barn, The Giant's Barn* sorry, is a cafe which caters to many coach tours each day of the week and most if not all passengers of these coaches pay for something to have for lunch. The Giant's Barn's pricing is disgusting and terrible, £10.50 for curry! £10.50 for a sandwich and a small bowl of soup! Cheaper with a meal deal from Tesco, cheaper with two meal deals aswell! The toilet facilities at the Giant's Barn is terrible and the cleanliness and hygiene is bare minimum and unclean. No soap in any toilets, and the ladies toilets has 2 cubicles which results in a queue between 5-10 people outside in a squished corridor! The male's toilets have 1 cubicle, and 2 urinals which also are unclean, and have no soap and can result in a long queue! - The Giant's Barn is not made for large tourist groups, it's made for people willing to pay rip off prices for small portions and disgusting toilet facilities. The Giant's Barn is a tourist trap which cannot be avoided until tour operators decide to go elsewhere in the area! Which may not happen anytime soon, therefore go and Rent a Car and drive to The Giants Causeway as by the time you'll of bought your food from the Giant's Barn you'll have been cheaper without the coach ticket and better renting a car from Belfast City! - and that's saying something with fuel now-a-days LOL! If I can help tourists in any way it's recommending NOT to visit and to AVOID The Giant's Barn at all costs as not only will their bank account be burst, so will their hygiene standards due to no soap and lack of cleanliness all round. Lack of seating has been a big problem here at The Giant's Barn which can be easily sorted by buying new seating and fixing a broken chair outside which was left randomly outside looking untamed to the public's eye! The queues do go down quickly, either people leave the queue when they see the price or the staff are really good at clearing the queue! Nevertheless the staff are friendly, happy and was happy to listen when the soap problem was put to them, whether anything was done I'm unsure. However the Giant's Barn is a tourist trap and I'd highly recommend visiting here by all costs!

We were taken here as part of a brilliant tour with Allen Tours, well what a shame and not sure if they are involved with this place or have some favourable arrangement with them but it was awful and ruined everything that was a fab tour. As tourist you are a captive audience and exploited! Totally rip off and not nice food at all. Everything £9.95 even a sandwich where you also have to have soup which I refused but still got charged £9.95 for a small piece of smoked salmon and a tiny amount of lettuce going brown….disgusting! Said made fresh but came from under a cloth at the back of the counter… the worse sandwich I’ve ever had and the most expensive too! I have no problem paying for nice food. My friend had seafood chowder, one ladle, luke warm and couldn’t see any seafood just a bit of smoked haddock. This also wasn’t very nice and they felt quite sick after. On the tour you think there won’t be anywhere else to eat and a long day ahead but please take your own packed lunch or eat at the Giants Causeway. There is a pub there called ‘The Nook’ that looked like it did nice food, Also a hotel not sure if they do food because we didn’t go inside. We so wished we had known the name of the place we were stopping for lunch before and then could of looked at other reviews because it seems now looking after what we experienced they have also experienced the same, just how appalling and a RIP OFF THIS PLACE IS….. So many people on our tour also felt the same. I think it says it all….BEWARE and hope this review helps you not to get caught.

Stopped here on our way up to the Giant's Causeway as part of a tour group. What I thought would only be a quick bite to recharge before more walking, turned out to be a near-spiritual experience, I kid you not. I ordered the Steak and Guinness Pie, which was easily one of the top 3 meals I've ever had. With the fresh vegetables, incredibly light and airy bread, and not to mention some of the best tasting sauce ever to grace my lips, it might be easy to mistake this review for mere hyperbole. But make no mistake, if you're looking for some authentic and lovingly made food that makes you damn near tear up, then this is the spot for you! And don't even get me started on the surroundings. Located in the middle of farmland, the views are scenic and all-encompassing. If the weather cooperates, you can take your meal in the outdoor seating area and soak in the Irish countryside while enjoying your food. 11/10 (yes, it's that good.)

All dishes are served with a substantial side of vegetables and mashed potatoes. This cafe is known for their desserts but I was too full to try one. Just eaten here today as part of a Giants Causeway tour, probably wouldn't have chosen to eat here otherwise. Café was far too busy for its size, coach tours should use elsewhere as it doesn't seem big enough for large parties. Both my husband and I had Irish stew (£9.95 each), this was only just warm and tasteless. Had the café not been so busy we would have taken it back to the servers to at least get it heated but we only had a short period of time as the stop off was time limited and very short. If you have the opportunity look elsewhere, if you're on a coach tour eat elsewhere.

I wasn't even able to eat all of mine and it was DELICIOUS despite the fact I had been throwing up every chance I got from motion sickness. The prices are actually lower there than every place in Dublin (including outside of Temple Bar) that I had been to on this trip. They also had gluten free options so I really appreciated not having to eat the lunch meat I packed just in case (not every cafe has that option). I ended up feeding it to the cat outside haha. I forgot to take a picture of the food and the Cineads MacCoinneach but it was proper Irish stew (even though it didn't have the Guinness) with plenty of meat. Great food fast. We stopped here as part of a bus tour and we got great food instantly. The traditional Irish stew was great.

This was one of the stops on a tour bus we booked for the day. It’s about five minutes away from the giants Causeway. At the causeway you will find a pub that has fresh and better quality food. The beer and wine is also a great addition. This is a type of establishment that give the tour buses a kickback to stop. Pay attention to see if your driver eats here with you.

Our tour bus drive brought us here after our time at Giants Causeway and are we so glad he did so. We were exhausted, yet exhilarated after that experience, but most of all, we were ravenous and this was the place to be!

When our coach bus arrived with fifty people we were worried because another bus with 50 people were lined up just before us but it was incredible how quick they served you and the food was piping hot and amazingly good! Never had such an experience with so many people being served all so quickly!

We stopped here on our bus tour and the food was fabulous. Large portions and served cafeteria style makes for a quick in and quick out if you're in a hurry.

I have never tasted such delicious food. My husband and I shared the Guinness pie. It was extraordinary. For dessert I had a delicious meringue yummy thing that we also shared. The staff here is great, the line moves quickly and the memories make you want to return to eat there.

We were very fortunate to eat at The Giant's Barn before other buses pulled in so we were able to get through the line very fast and the food was very good. Good choice on a day long tour.

Ci sono stato con amici, il menù del giorno veniva 10 pound. La zuppa era anche accettable, fatta con patate mentre il beef era veramente poco.

Arrived on a coach tour so obviously there was a long queue but everyone got seated and the food was all prepared and ready so the queue moved quite quickly. Good selection of hot food but we chose the huge scones with butter and jam and pots of tea. Fairly priced and very tasty and a good cup of tea. We sat in the rear room which was a bit cramped with too many tables, it also had a fascinating collection of books on one wall but not sure if they were for sale I imagine they were. Would go again but not with a coach party. Giant chair outside offered a nice photo opportunity especially for children. Some gifts were also available to purchase from local tourist spots and local craft items.

We had to stop here as part of a tour. The place is relatively small for the numbers that arrive at the same time on the bus tours. The seating was quite tight people don’t always use common sense to make the most of the space and be courteous to fellow diners. I was a bit surprised at the prices at it is basically £10 no matter what meal you want. I was looking for a sandwich but as they are made to order it seemed a hassle to ask for one when there are so many people to serve. The soup I had was average but the bread was really nice.

We visited the Giants Barn whilst on a Game of Thrones Tour. We were slightly apprehensive as to what to expect as there were 55 people on our tour all going to the same place for food with only an hour to get served and eat.

Buon pranzo dopo la visita alle attrazioni vicine. Locale isolato e non molto grande ma comunque carino e con del buon cibo a prezzi onesti. Se siete nei paraggi è comunque un luogo comodo e senza tante pretese dove poter mangiare.

My friend and I had wanted to call in at the Giants Barn for a while. Finally we got a chance to visit and we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered some hot food, a scone and coffee and it was lovely. Would re visit.

Owner of the restaurant could not have been nicer. The giants causeway (around 1 mile away) costs around 20 euros just for parking per person. For less than that, we got to eat a decent meal, leave our car at the restaurant, and he gave us a free ride over to the giants causeway.

Recently visited here for lunch. Had a fantastic Irish stew. The staff were all lovely and friendly. The prices are a little steep but the food is worth it. I will have to back again and try something else. I liked the giants chair outside. Great for a wee photograph.

Seems like this place is in touch with one or more tour companies as they exclusively drive the passengers for lunch here. The different "dishes" are previously prepared and put in trays for your choosing. I normally don't mind humble meals if I'm paying an acceptable price, saving myself some money... But 10 pounds, or 13 euros, for he most mediocre meals here, is unacceptable. Wish I had bought a sandwich that day: best definition of tourist trap I've had this trip. Luckily, the only one.

At first I was a little cross, as the tour bus driver probably gets a backhander for bringing tourists here, so many buses out here. Then, after coming in and having some lovely food with great service, I was happy. Lots of choices for vegetarians. I'm not a fan of self service, but the staff explained all the options to everyone queuing. Good homecooked food. Good cakes. Excellent tea.

We were taken here as part of a giant's causeway day tour with no say in the matter. Food was all in buffet trays and had clearly been there hours, crusts on all the meals. The driver made it out as if there were an actual menu, but it's really just pre-prepared meals waiting there all day and you can only choose from those. We got the pie as it was the freshest looking option, but it wasn't even a pie, just a tray of meat and veg with some pastry put on top, and more of the same veg on the side. Terrible ingredients at exorbitant prices.
