The Armada Inn in Moyle

I've eaten in the Armada a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is amazing - very tasty and great portion sizes! The staff are always very friendly and helpful and the prices are more than reasonable the high standard of food and portion size. I would definitely recommend. Thanks Armada.

We found Armada Restaurant by chance when we were out for a drive a year ago and popped in for something to eat. We have eaten here quite a few times since. On every occasion staff have always been very attentive, service efficient, food amazing and value for money! With all this in mind I decided to book for Mothers Day this year. Was definitely best decision!! Food was outstanding from presentation to flavour. The service and attention to detail was exceptional with the complimentary cocktails and bunches of daffodils for the ladies of our group delightful and very much appreciated!! Well done and thanks to all at the Armada for a very memorable and special Mothers Day 2024

Food was nice and staff where friendly.

This establishment is consistent and the staff are all friendly we have enjoyed all the visits dining weekly from there lunchtime menu. If your looking somewhere nice this is definitely the place around North Antrim the chefs know what there doing and the owners certainly have there pencil sharpened. The Sunday lunch you won't be disappointed

Beautiful food reasonable prices couldn't fault it lovely staff we had lunch and there was 5 of us we got 5 mains 4 desserts and drinks including 2 glasses of wine and 3 soft drinks £90

Wir waren nur Essen und was soll ich sagen, absolut respektabel. Essen war gut abgestimmt und zubereitet. Personal war freundlich, aber vielleicht noch zu jung, um die notwendige Aufmerksamkeit zu entfalten.

Seven of us picked this restaurant at random heading from Carrick a rede to Belfast around 2:30 in the afternoon. Of course no one in the restaurant at that time of day but we were greeted warmly and promptly waited on. Everyone ordered something different to make matters worse. We were all delighted when everything was served simultaneously, food was piping hot, hamburger buns mwere tasty and toasted, etc. we thoroughly enjoyed everything and left with full stomachs and a smile on our faces

Great place to stay. We did 2 nights. Everyone that worked there was very friendly. Can’t recommend it enough

Very Good B&B and Restaurant with friendly owner and Staff. There was a group of us that stayed here from Cardiff. The rooms were modern, spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was modern and clean. The accommodation was Very good and the breakfsst was Excellent. Plenty of it and cookec just right. The service was very good also. The only small thing was could of done with tea and coffee making in the room. I also ate food in the bar. Ordered the Chicken Stack. Chargrilled Chicken Breast in Bushmills Whiskey Sauce, stacked in champ, topped with onion ring. It was delicious and cooked just right. We had a great stay here.

Warm welcome and great food . The service was excellent and staff could not have been more helpful (we were driven back to campsite, that’s service!) highly recommended

When I stayed here it was brilliant ! The rooms were very clean and warm. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were also excellent. Yes it's a small hotel. But this made it all the better.

Amazing food, quality and fairly priced

Family of 4 enjoyed a delicious evening meal. Great menu, home cooked food and friendly staff. Kids menu great value. Mix up with my order but was handled seamlessly and would highly recommend a visit to Armada Inn.

Booked table for 3 for 1.15pm. Git there early. No problem to them and they seated us early. The young waitress was attentive and came to our table quickly with nexus and asked if we wanted drinks. She was back quickly with drinks and took our food order. We queried what kind of sauce was in seafood curry. She was able to tell us without having to go into kitchen and ask which was spot on. Food arrived in good time despite a few tables being on the go same time as ours. Food was delicious and the 3 plates were empty as the waitress lifted them. She had came to our table during meal and asked if Food was OK plus took another drink order. All in , the food. Service and cost of meals and drink were great. As a very young waitress we were surprised at how engaging and helpful she was. Definitely recommend this place

We ate at the Armada Inn two nights in a row after the first night was so great. We had four different entrees and all were amazing. The seafood platter starter was incredible and we had it both nights. We can't recommend this place enough! And, the service was as good as it gets.

Staying a few miles out of town, and came in for dinner. Food was amazing - both seafood dishes were full of fish, large portions, and very reasonably priced. Might be back tomorrow!

Called in for lunch today. Never been there before. To be honest we had planned to go to another restaurant in the area but we couldn't find it. Let's just say we took the "Scenic" route!! So glad we found this place instead in the centre of Armoy village. A hidden gem!! The staff were all so warm and welcoming. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with very comfortable seating. The food was absolutely delicious, top quality and there was plenty of beautiful food on the plate. Very reasonably priced as was the alcohol! Couldn't face dessert as the main was so large. Cannot wait to pay another visit. 😃👍👍👍👍👍

6 of us and a toddler had Easter Sunday Lunch here today. Service was efficient personable and very good. The food was excellent, from starters through to the desserts. And the pricing was very fair given today's climate. I wish the new management every success

More than a pub selling food, its a smart restaurant with a seperate bar area. Extensive menu and good friendly service. In the Heart of ARMOY and the home of Armoy Road Racing motorbike events.

Sadly, the experience we had eating at the Armada Inn was not the best. We ordered BBQ chicken melts which were just ok but we also ordered the 10oz Beef Sirloin and that was just terrible. (2 people ordered each place). For starters, we asked that the meat was cooked medium rare and it was brought to us well done, but the worst part was that the texture of the meat was really low quality. It seems as if it was frozen and then thawed to be cooked, had terrible taste and was hard to eat. We gave feedback to the restaurant about this when paying the bill and they did not really care a lot or offered to do anything to make things right. I would have expected them to at least remove one of the dishes from the bill, but there was no ownership and no intention of improving the experience. Contrary to the restaurant's reply, no one came to our table to ask if everything was ok when they delivered the dishes and no, the ladies who ordered the meat did not eat "everything on the plate" but we did not feel comfortable sending it back as we were too tired, had a hard time finding a place to eat altogether and did not want to risk not eating at all as we had a long journey ahead of us. Interestingly, the place was not even full, only 3 tables at the restaurant were taken, not sure about the bar. Never coming back. The fact that the restaurant replied to this review in the way that they did, instead of approaching things differently is quite interesting.

Just had dinner there, but the food was surprisingly good and inexpensive.

Wonderful place to drink a pint and spend the night. My room was clean, organized, extra comfortable and adorable. I loved the staff’s ability to help me with anything I needed as well as the wonderful food. This place is such a great deal and in a perfect location for seeing some amazingly beautiful parts of the North. I can’t wait to come back. As a female traveling alone it was grand to feel so safe and welcome by staff and locals. Two thumbs up with the stars!

Discovered this restaurant when out for the day at Ballycastle and needed a place for dinner at short notice. Only 10mins from B'castle The Armada Inn squeezed 2 adults and 4 kids in at short notice on a Saturday evening. The food was excellent, the kids menu was fabulous (more than the usual goujons and chips). One child had the pizza which was amazing, all homemade with generous toppings. The staff were so friendly. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again - well worth a trip. (PS It's also only 5 miles from The Dark Hedges - for anyone wanting to take a nosey there).

We found the Armada Inn as we were travelling between Ballymena and Glenarm. We enjoyed our food in Armoy so much we returned later the same week for another meal. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the meals were superb and the place was well-appointed and very comfortable. Just a wonderful experience all round. Certainly good value and well worth visiting. We travelled the length and breadth of Northern Ireland on our holidays and we thought the Armada Inn was the best place we visited.

After spending an hour researching and calling places to be told they don’t do takeaway, we stumbled on this place-and I am so so glad we did. We were able to call and easily order our food. It was ready sooner than quoted. Everyone there was super friendly and accommodating. The food portions were so generous-we have lots left over! The bacon mashed potatoes were awesome (order two!). The containers the food came in were ultra nice. All the food was good. I ordered the vegetable curry-it had a true spice to it. The house salad had super fresh, crunchy vegetables but it came with coleslaw also which I wasn’t expecting. This place was a lifesaver tonight! Thank you!

Staff very friendly food was lovely no complaints

We visited on a Saturday evening, it was quite quiet. Food was good for 4 in our group, not good for 1. Service was extremely slow took 45 mins for dinner to arrive, we didn’t have time to stay for dessert. Will not return.

First time visit but will definitely return.Comfortable and friendly atmosphere with a very good menu available and the newly refurbished restaurant looks fabulous. There are seven rooms on a bed and breakfast basis so hopefully can arrange a few overnight stays later in the year.Everyone in our company was very impressed with The Armada and look forward to returning.

Fantastic meals!!! Staff were very friendly and helpful when we asked about different items on the menu. Our food was served piping hot, good sized portions and absolutely delicious. Prices of food and drink were good. Restaurant was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We look forward to visiting again.

Oh how much I loved the Armada inn! I truly can't recommend enough how wonderful this place is! Amy and Paul are so professional and provide a very personalised service. The food is of a very high standard too! My favourite is the chicken chilli stir fry. Prices are very reasonable too! My parents visit the restaurant weekly and always rave about their experience. I was lucky to visit several times this week and I loved it!! You won't be disappointed ...honest!

Have eaten here on numerous occasions, in the restaurant & take-away, & always the food has been exceptional. The portions are very generous, the quality is excellent & the staff are welcoming & friendly. Look forward to eating at The Armada again & again & again ...

Always loved this places food and service I can only say brilliant but on Easter Sunday maybe because they were busy , they forgot 1 starter, Two of our dinners came then a few mins later the waitress lifted them said they weren’t ours when our own dinner came it was cold , we were not ask once if everything was ok , the one and only time I was so disappointed sorry been I always recommend this place it was always so good .

We popped in for a quick drink and a bite. Very well received by the lovely staff. Food was great and friendly service. Wish we could have stayed longer. Better than the very busy places in Ballycastle!

What a great find! We can recommend The Armada Inn utterly. We spent a wonderful afternoon here with family. The waitress Amy was the most gracious host - she has a lovely manner and is so accommodating. We enjoyed a lunch with drinks, tea and homemade desserts, all of which was excellent value. Well-presented, hearty and so flavoursome. A gem on the County Antrim coast.

Just ordered meals for ten people, well so impressed , order correct and on time, brilliant for such a large order , food exceptional, restaurant quality to takeaway, large portions, steak, burgers, lasagne all absolutely divine, would 100% recommend and will definitely order again , thanks Armada

We recently arranged to collect 19 Christmas dinners for our staff @ Causeway Coast Holiday Park in nearby Ballycastle. The food was amazing! so tasty, warm and plenty of it! Paul, who i dealt with on the telephone to arrange the order was extremely helpful and nothing seemed to be a hassle. We would very much like to thank all the staff at the Armada Inn for a delicious dinner that left our staff with a great taste in their mouths. Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year to you all!
