The best little port on a cold wet day. We visited Ballintoy on a typically dreary day and the cafe was so cosy warm and welcoming. Staff are wonderful, coffee was fabulous and the cakes were out of this world. Since great views too. Highly recommend!

Decided to call into roarks kitchen today and never again, what a disappointing experience. The female server who took our order and money explained that she was just going to get the food heated and handed us a number and told us to take a seat but no change. We assumed she would bring the change with our food, when a man appeared with our food I explained I didn’t receive my change and the way he spoke to me I was in shock. I’ve never experienced anything like it, management you need to teach your staff manners and respect. When I went back in to try and get my change from one of the female servers turns out I was overcharged. A place with so much potential your staff is ruining the experience.

Firstly, I placed my order of a cheese burger and some carrot orange and corriander soup. The wee cafe is so cute and the food and look lovely! Until you see the price. Whilst I was waiting an employee passed. I asked him if they had WiFi and was cheekily told no, that's why we've free parking! Cheeky! I wasn't parked in the carpark! Even in the vicinity! The food came and looked delicious! My daughter enjoyed her burger. The soup.... It was too salty but not much can be done about that. I couldn't taste any orange or coriander. Then it struck me. It was fresh flat leaf parsley in the soup and not coriander I spoke to the same young lad about it (staff member with dark curly hair) who was dismissive and claimed it was probably garnish. Why would you put fresh flat leaf parsley in to carrot and coriander soup? I think it was mistaken as coriander as they both look the same. No apology. No offer of a different bowl or alternative even though I told him it was salty and.had parsley. He didn't give a stuff! Looked delicious but tasted rank, and the wee lad serving today Tuesday 30/07/24 should not be in customer service. He didn't even speak to a colleague about it. The food looks delicious....very pricey though. Near a fiver for a fifteen bun! They should have offered a new bowl

Location is very picturesque and was told that the location appears in Game of Thrones, but having not seen the series, I could not say otherwise. The scenery is breathtaking and the atmosphere was fantastic with two of the waitresses playing the fiddle. The menu is first class: - a small menu but everything baked to perfection. Please note, you must pay in cash and both sterling and Euros are accepted. The kitchen opens at 11am on a Saturday, although several customers I spoke with said times do change. There are seats and a fire inside and picnic tables outside with the most beautiful view of the harbour. A really special find which we will certainly visit again.

This is the only eaterie down at the harbour itself. It looks kind of small, and we cautiously stepped inside to have a look. Just a few tables inside and not much room between them, but it's worth staying for the warm welcome and delicious food. I've never seen such a selection of home made cake! Apparently this little place has been in the family for 40 years, and Granny Roark still makes the Victoria Sandwich aged 85! Light as air, and impressively high!

After your walk along beach please stop and enjoy the local taste of home made food especially the stew.. The Apple pie is my favourite. Can be very busy at times so be polite and patient.

We had no idea that this place existed, we found it purely by chance when deciding to visit Ballintoy Harbour. It was just opening when we were about to leave so we decided to nip in and warm up with some coffee and hot chocolate. Well, that was the plan but when you see the staggering display of cakes and scones, pies etc it’s a little difficult to resist a little of what you like!

This is a tiny little café in the most beautiful location. We visited on a cold morning. The coffee was great - but the display of the most beautiful home baked cakes on offer was spectacular! We sampled the fresh cream and jam sponge and the carrot cake. Both delicious. We were not long after breakfast so couldn't do justice to the huge array of home cooked produce. Would highly recommend this little place to visitors. Thank you for a delicious morning coffee break!

Very cozy place to visit. Lovely cakes and coffee. The boys just love the little shop always talk about the honeycomb they get there and the delicious sausage rolls. Situated in one of the most gorgeous places to visit on our wee island. Staff are very nice too.

What a spot!! An absolute hidden gem. Staff were all really lovely, beautiful view from the tables and the food...superb. We had the daube of beef and a chicken stack. We certainly weren't hungry!! Highly highly recommend, it's not often you get top quality food for such a reasonable price
