Solo podemos elogiar al George, todo sobre él fue excelente. La comida, bebida, personal y clientela. Tenía pescado con papas fritas y honestamente fue probablemente el mejor pescado con papas fritas que he comido, mi esposo tiene el venado y estaba perfectamente cocinado, dijo que estaba delicioso. El vino de la casa era precioso, así como la cerveza. El personal era atento, pero no demasiado. Definitivamente volveremos.

This is a mixed review. We had Sunday lunch,it was our second visit having been very impressed last time. Our order was taken very quickly,luckily we'd both decided on roast dinners beforehand so we didn't need much time. The food took a long time to come but was really well presented when it did. The meat was lovely,the roast potatoes were perfect as was the side of cauliflower cheese. It was however a bit dry especially the Yorkshire pudding. I asked for more gravy and was told it was coming but it didn't. There definitely seemed to be some stress with the staff. I had chocolate pudding desert which was poor and didn't match the quality of the main. As I say mixed review. For the main course I'd say clearly a good quality meal let down by unattentive staff. The desert which on my last visit was good was just a let down.

Tuve una mala experiencia en este pub, ya que fui carterista mientras estaba con mis colegas de trabajo celebrando ascensos. Tuvimos una habitación separada y estuve brevemente en la zona del bar cerca de los guardias de seguridad. Al informarlo a la seguridad parece que es un hecho común, así que por favor, ten cuidado.

Our first time visiting The George. Excellent Sunday Roast (beef). The beef was cooked as requested and to perfection! Lots of potatoes and nice veg. Good Yorkshire Pudding (although a little crisp). However the horseradish sauce wasn’t great. Rump Steak was also cooked as requested. Unfortunately no room for pudding on this occasion. Good service ££

Fuimos a The George para el bautizo de nuestro hijo. Ofrecieron excelentes platos para compartir queso y charcutería con salsas y fruta y crudités. Era la configuración perfecta. Sin embargo, todos amaban específicamente los huevos escoceses. ¡Fueron increíbles! Sin embargo, sería encantador volver para una bebida y un asado. La otra comida se veía deliciosa. Gracias a Nicole que ayudó a organizar nuestro día especial en la preparación!

Shocking service, rude, 'know it all's' in there staff wise, sneakily adding service on (It's a pub) poor food, rude and all round there are so many choices nearby why would you ever go there. You wouldn't. Avoid.

Domingo Almuerzo - comedor de arriba. Cocina abierta. Carne asada y todos los adornos. Carne de res cocida medio rara, bien condimentada y una porción generosa. Excelente servicio de nuestra amable camarera experta. Había más de un bullicio abajo en el bar, donde también se servía el almuerzo. La próxima vez. Recomendado.

Llamé alrededor de las 4 PM para una reserva a las 7 PM, y Nicole era muy servicial, receptivo y profesional. No solo tenemos la reserva, sino que los clientes también hicieron comentarios sobre la comida, la habitación y el servicio. Fue una experiencia excelente.

Una comida final en Londres y justo lo que queríamos: un buen filete más los adornos. Entorno relajado y tranquilo en un encantador comedor de arriba y la servidora perfecta, Stephanie, que nos guió a las decisiones correctas. Todo estaba delicioso, perfectamente cocinado, servido oportunamente y a un precio razonable. Sin duda volveremos en nuestra próxima visita a Londres!

Encontré al George después de ver un espectáculo. Llegamos justo a tiempo para los últimos pedidos! Bastante sorprendido de que no estaba abierto más tarde en un sábado por la noche, pero realmente disfrutamos de este pub encantador. Definitivamente volverá y tendrá más tiempo

Always very attentive service and great food. I would personally recommend the Scotch egg and the pies Personally, this is the pub to go if you are in the Aldwych area!

An absolute gem, the duck confit pie was AMAZING. The staff, especially Carlos, were magnificent and made this pub so warm and inviting.

Table booked online giving time to go to a show locally. Arrived at the pub and firstly ridiculously expensive beer and a wine (over £18) before the meal. Headed upstairs to the restaurant nobody around staff or clients and then told by staff downstairs the restaurant was closed. Explained we booked on line and no mention of it being closed. Offered a table and bar food. Not the planned evening as we then had to find an alternative restaurant knowing we now had limited time due to the start time of the show. If the restaurant is closed a) dont take the booking and b) if it is closed contact your customers and let them know. Not impressed. Will not recommend or return considering we are regular visitors to London.

Really friendly and fun staff. Was there for drinks but stayed for dinner. Really good fish and chips. Not too fan of their tartar sauce but delicious fish. Would go there again!

This is my 2nd time coming and the service and staff are always friendly! Really accommodating and nothing is too much of an ask for them. I had the burger and it was really nice! Will definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu! Plus they have my favourite gin which is a bonus!

We spent some enjoyable evenings in this restaurant:pub that is located on the first floor of the Ibis hotel, Earls Court. The area is spacious and homely. The menu changes every day but fish and chips remain, which is expected. The selection of drinks is wide-ranging. Roberto and his team do a great job. Highly recommended.

Great selection of beers and a wonderful menu. My family and kids had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back.

Visited with a friend for lunch. Started off with crispy lambs belly, ox cheek croquettes and smoked trout washed down by their house champagne. Shared Steak and Ale suet pudding and chicken kiev for mains. Beautiful flavors and attentive service. Cant wait to go back as so much more on their brand new menu that I'd like to try. Welldone to management.

stumbled upon the Pig & Goose on a recent visit to London, had a wonderful meal. We both had the crab to start, followed by the corn fed chicken, because we are greedy we also had the broccoli with chilli and almonds and the truffle chips. All very delicious and sadly we were both too full to have a desert. The parsnip puree was to die for, the lovely chef took the time to come and chat to us and he kindly explained how to make it. We will definitely return on our next trip to London

Really like this place which seems amazingly quiet compared to other drinking holes and eating places around. Great choice of excellent ales and bar food plus the upstairs restaurant is good too - surprisingly we didn’t need to book on a Thursday evening- love this place hope you do too!

Stopped off at this bar on the way to Covent Garden. We should have stayed where we were. Nice atmosphere and good selection of beers and gins. Comfortable and large seating areas for groups. Will visit again when in London

We love the George! Attracted by the décor, we were charmed by the bartender and his patience with us. Great food and people!

Had lunch after visiting RCI and the food was excellent. Staff very friendly and attentive and was interested in our visit To London. The interior is very olde worlde and very interesting with a warm atmosphere.

Excellent selection of beers on tap, good, friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend this pub as a place to meet with friends. The restaurant upstairs is also excellent.

Over 40 years ago, The George was my home away from home while on assignment in London. We would stop in this historic pub every day after work to enjoy a pint with a sandwich and "debate" current issues from both a British and an American point of view. Shortly after returning to America, the IRA blew The George up. I was never able to get any details about this sad event, but I was finally able visit my favorite pub while on vacation in London. The restoration is quite remarkable, and the addition of The Pig and Goose provides a much better offering of food - it certainly beats that jar of pickled eggs that used to sit on the bar where the espresso machine currently resides. The fish and chips are among the best in London.

Much to the surprise of the hostess we were able to book a late night table here. Although they were getting ready to close for the evening they welcomed us as honored guests and we were treated to a wonderful meal! Our meal consisted of the roasted chicken breast and Tea smoked duck breast. All very good, however, the highlight for me was the sticky toffee chocolate pudding. When the rest of London proper was closing shop on a Saturday evening, we were treated to a fine dinner.

Had not been aware of the Pig and Goose but decided to pop in as wanted a long gentle lunch with good wine. We were stunned by the quality of the food. The chef is brilliant. Highly recommend this restaurant if you appreciate good food....

Very old pub which has been nicely renovated but this reflects in the prices. There is a nice restaurant upstairs, although we didn't visit this time. Good selection of drinks. Attracts a younger, 'trendier' crowd in the bar and is busy in the evening.

We were really pleased with everything, the staff were personable and lovely, all the different dishes were great - veggie and meat heavy - and the atmosphere was really relaxed.

This is a nice pub with seriously the best burger we have ever eaten. Anywhere. Ever. Very friendly, not crowded. Great atmosphere.
