Definitely a feeling of community here, as everyone knew one another. The food is bang on and worth the price, though its a shame they don't do free water. Two meals, one dessert, pot of tea that lasted one person for two hours & tea bottles of coke for just over £51 is pretty good for an evening out. The price for the hookah isn't bad either, cheaper than a night at your local wetherspoons and honestly more fun. I would reccomend more blankets for the outdoors area and maybe YouTube premium so there's not so many ads in amongst the music videos playing on all the TVs. Will become a monthly treat for me.

Came here for my mums birthday and I have nothing but positives to say, service from the start to end was immaculate and the portion size is more than adequate. Meat was tender and succulent, rice was wet and cooked beautifully. Only drawback exclusive to tonight was no alcohol however This is rectified from tomorrow as they’ve obtained their licence. ❤️

I planned a group booking here on Saturday the 26th of October for my partners birthday celebrations. All I can say is it went better than I expected. The service was absolutely great, nice friendly staff who were willing to help us out with any requests we had for that day. There was around 15 of us so we were very loud and abit messy but they still had smiles on their faces. The food was great, very tasty with so much flavour. Everyone enjoyed it! After, we all went to smoke some shisha and chill out with some drinks in the other room. 🫧 💨 The atmosphere was very relaxing and the energy was flowing nicely. Very comfortable sofa and the room has been decorated nicely. I want to say a big thankyou to the man who was in charge that day I'm not sure who he was but he was very lovely and made us feel welcomed. Much appreciated! I definitely recommend this place. Its abit out of the town centre so it doesn't get overally busy quick. Thanks again! 💗 I'll be back!

I don’t smoke Shisha but they are always greet you when you come in and great Interaction with haji who always smiling. There guy the back who make the Shisha always make a conversation even if he busy. The waitress are always asking how the food or shisha and always ask if you need anything . This is not a restaurant / Shisha lounge it a family home.

Food quality it is bad, food was been all dry and not tasty at all. Coffe disgusting, we don’t even drink because tasty was been horrible, bitter and to strong. About service I don’t even want to talk, waitress don’t even talk or if talking not nice at all. Need wait to long and them not nice.

Nice shisha, good variety of flavours. Decent set up with natural coal and regular changes. Atmosphere is nice, seating is pleasant and music is at a reasonable level so you can have a nice conversation and relax. Food is good, albeit I've only had a few pizzas

Kids meal was rubbish , very less quantity and food wasn’t tasting good. The whole place was smelly , service wasn’t good at all. Not returning back

I ordered grilled King prawns, but wasnt king prawns, bit disappointed. It was tasty though.

The place is good if you have shopping to do , you have got Asda within vicinity. The place is decent , if you are into shisha then have got multiple varieties. If you aren't then you have different seating. There is smoke all around the place even in non smoking area which some might not like but it's not very strong.

We had take away and the food was amazing. My steak was cooked just right and the sauce was packed with flavour.

Incredibly uncomfortable, walked in and walked straight back out due to being made to feel so unwelcome. We wanted to check the place out for the shisha and the bright setting, but was sneered at by the clientele and 3 staff eyed us up and blatantly ignored us. Do not recommend!

I like to share meals with family at The Genie Lounge. It's centrally located, and plenty of parking available. The restaurant is bright, and welcoming. The atmosphere, and the patrons, are quiet and relaxed. I peeped into the separate Shisha Lounge, and had not expected it to be so impressive and extensive. Overall, everything appears clean, and well maintained. We love whatever food we have tried, especially the Chef's Platter, which has a selection of many delicious items. My favourite is the lamb in a tomato sauce, which has meat well cooked, so tasty, and so tender. Service is efficient and pleasant. Prices are reasonable, and quantity generous, so much so we have leftovers packed to enjoy the next day. We all enjoyed our food and experience, and look forward to future outings to The Genie Lounge.

Food was stone cold, service absolutely diabolical and a depressing atmosphere with no music playing all I could hear was shouting in the kitchen, stinks of sweat, would not recommend!!!

Shisha is alright could do with a lot more flavour a bit weak in my opinion especially during my second visit with a premium flavour of Irn Bru and Raspberry. Prices are pretty decent and when it’s not packed the outdoor seating is a nice chill 👌🏽

Went on Friday to celebrate mine and my husbands anniversary. Food was 10/10 worth every penny. BUT THE BLONDE chubby waitress was super rude and unprofessional. Came to us no hello nothing just dropped the menu. Took our order.. came back and instead of saying sorry or anything she says to us “SO we don’t have this, what you want”.. I was speechless. Asked for ice didn’t bring it… dropped our food and went away. After I asked for sauce and she rudely said not now give me some time. Genie owner with all the respect you have a great place and amazing food. But please sort out this waitress because she is very rude and unprofessional.

I placed an order.... after us, other visitors came, they ordered... we watched this, they brought everything right away, we had to wait for another 10 minutes... they brought us our food, we ordered food plus smoke a shisha hookah.... we we ate all the food, drank all the drinks, we were really not happy, we asked when they would bring us the shish hookah... to which they replied that they forgot about us... and a minute later they brought everything, well, we asked that everything would be brought at the same time as the food .... wasted a lot of time and were not satisfied with the service..... the food was delicious.... the service was terrible.....

Incorrect timings on Google and we only found out after driving 50 mins. Staff didn’t care about the inconvenience and haven’t updated the information. Avoid!

I love this place for its Kunafe. It is incredible and always the same. The ambience for this place is quite great. They have very friendly and good staff who will recommend food exactly like it is, rather than seconding your opinion. I find this level of service exceptional and true to the customer.

This has to be one of the top 10 worst Turkish places we have been to! And we've been to hundreds. How it is rated 4.6 stars is beyond me. I'm assuming that some of the previous diners who have eaten here don't have any proper authentic Turkish food to compare it to. The chicken shish was not even the proper Turkish charcoal skewer shish, but instead small cubes of unseasoned bland chicken. The chips were disgusting, overcooked, and definitely a cheap brand. The pizzas also lacked major flavour. Even the chilli sauce was a mixture of mayonnaise and the cheap chilli sauce you get from chicken shops and not your proper flavoursome Turkish chilli sauce. They also do hookah shisha here, which isn’t properly segregated, so it is smokey inside, and it doesn't have a proper family restaurant atmosphere. The food is very expensive, and not worth the price whatsoever. We paid a similar price at the Turkish Kitchen and got a much better service and amazing authentic tasting Turkish food (must try for Peterborough).

I came here to watch the footie with my friend a few months ago and we had a great time. The food was absolutely delicious, the area outside for shisha was really warm despite the time of year, the seats were comfy, and the shisha itself was fantastic - it lasted a really long time. The atmosphere was very chill, which was exactly what we needed and the staff couldn't do more to help us! The toilets were very clean, and we found everything to be reasonably priced. We will definitely come again.

After a really stressful week at work I found this to be the perfect wind down. Good food great service all provided at a reasonable price (shisha, main, pudding and drinks * 4 was about £130) I could vape in here as well!

I booked 2 months ago for 21 people, for my sons 18th. 10 of us got our food, after hr of waiting remaining still not received. 2 people cancelled others were told order hadnt gone through to kitchen and had to re order, no apology, and another long wait. We also had reserved an area in the lounge but owner had given it to another party. Awful service and obviously cant cope with large bookings. Will never return

Food itself was just ok. Mexican dishes just lacked that kick. The chips, salad and mocktails were really nice. Everything reasonably priced and food presentation was good. Also very attentive staff.

Food was bitter and burnt and arrived late and delivery driver tried adding an extra £5 onto order for delivery on top of £2.50 for delivery which was already included in price £39 after telling the scamming delivery driver I wasn't paying the extra fiver he invented up he walked off and didn't give me my change this wouldn't bother me that much but food was shockingly bad too don't eat here

Visited the lounge last night and the food was amazing, shisha was so smooth and service was impeccable. Also there’s new seating in the lounge bit which made the experience even better as it’s much more comfortable/spacious than before. Hands down favourite lounge in P’boro will definitely be returning.

Me and my friends absolutely loved it. Great customer service, great prices, most beautiful modern interior and atmosphere. 5 people- ate (starters and seconds, felt fresh and TASTY!), smoked shisha, had deserts and teas and other drinks 😏 to come with. Spend about 8 hours in there 😅 😅😅👌 When we saw the bill, we thought they charged us wrong (we kept quiet, BUT EVERYTHING WAS INCLUDED) was fkng... surprised!!!! Definitely earned a loyal customer. Coming back soon!!!!! Have nothing to put my finger on to complain about. My favourite spot from now on!!!!!!!!

Well looked after by helpful and friendly staff. Tried a new non - alcohol beer (licence coming soon) and enjoyed chicken & lamb shish kebab with a great salad. It's different for me and I liked it - give it a go if you've not tried it.

Visited The Geni lounge in Jan this year as the service was great and the food was delish, well last night was the most disappointing and embarrassing eve over all, on entry the place seemed like a disorganised choas, staff were rushing around, change of managnt the head staff said!! , took them 15 min before the first drink order was taken, 3 attempts to take the food order, 40 min later, missing the bread to go with it but when I asked, sorry was on the Menu, finished our meal, no bread , truly I don't think I will go again.

Visited the Genie lounge on the 2nd of January for a 50th birthday party, we were a group of 26 which included a vegetarian and my son with a food allergy. Excellent service, the hostess triple checked all dishes coming out, and made sure my son did not lose out, the chef prepared a dish for him especially as well. All of us enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Highly recommended great range selection from Turkish to western dishes.

Great place close to town with excellent food and a lovely attentive staff that go above and beyond. Turkish bread with hummus was delicious, as was our platter with chicken and lamb shish kebabs, chicken and lamb tikka, chicken wings and rice. Definitely worth a visit, and reasonably priced too.

Lovely place and atmosphere, food was really nice and portion sizes were more than enough. However the mocktails had more ice than juice. Staff were lovely but need to be on the ball and attentive, we had to ask for everything that we needed. If the owners want this place to succeed they need to train their staff and be on hand to make sure their customers are being looked after properly.

I ordered my first meal from The Genie Lounge yesterday. My wife is Lebanese, and although the Lounge is Turkish based, food is often similar. But both of us agreed that the food is 5 star, authentic and tasty. We shall be ordering other options from the menu and when the situation is right, dining in the restaurant !
