Good food and well kept real ale. A bit quiet when we went. The menu and food were excellent.

Tuvimos una fantástica familia 60a comida, nos cuidaron de principio a fin. Kelly, su hija y todo el personal era increíble y tan educado y servicial. Los baños estaban limpios y mantenidos, el lugar tenía un ambiente encantador y a pesar de que estaba ocupado funcionaba como un reloj, ya que todo el personal trabajaba bien juntos y era perfecto. Gracias Kelly y su personal por hacer de nuestra celebración familiar de primera categoría.

Vino a tomar algo con mi marido. Servido por una chica rubia encantadora que hizo el mejor café con leche que he tenido! No puedo esperar a probar la comida : )

Had a lovely lunch today, the food tasted fresh and of good quality.

Hemos estado buscando un restaurante de pub local que tenía una buena gama sin gluten dado que mi esposa es un celíaco. Esta fue nuestra primera visita en varios años. La comida y el servicio era excepcional. Sí un poco caro, pero vale la pena el dinero. Obviamente, los chefs se enorgullecen de trabajar allí. Empecé con el paté de caballa, mi hija una croguette especial de pato y mi yerno una burata. Todos eran encantadores y nos probamos mutuamente. Para la alimentación mi esposa y mi yerno tenían el pescado con papas fritas que venían sin gluten, yo tenía el vientre de cerdo y mi hija el cordero en raquetas. Una vez más la comida estaba deliciosa. Para los desiertos tuve el desastre del eton de durazno, mi esposa una mousse de chocolate y may hija compartieron un pudín de toffee. Todo muy bonito. Mi esposa es normalmente un comedor quisquilloso agravado por la enfermedad celíaca, pero se lo pasó muy bien incluso comiendo una gran parte de mi postre. Definitivamente volverá.

Lovely and friendly place. I did a wedding flower there on Saturday 7th September for a lovely couple. I will try the food next visit.

I have recently been to this restaurant, and I have enjoyed the food. The location is beautiful, the staff are very welcoming and the food was very nice and tasty. They have lots of meals,but I am sure that all are very nice. There were lots of costumers and I believe that they were there because the restaurant is good. I highly recommend it. Had a excellent lunch as usual The beef koftas with beetroot hummus was delicious and my chicken dish was cooked perfectly My husband’s burger was tasty too

Beautiful location, olde worlde building with a really homely pub feel. Drinks were excellent at competitive pricing. Service was helpful and friendly. We both had fish and chips and, unexpectedly, the fish was very heavily battered and somewhat oily as a consequence. The fish inside was, however, tasty. I am a fish and chips fan so, I have to say, am very picky about the amount of batter used. The thinner the better. Nevertheless everything else was fine and we shall return in due course.

Visited here for mine and twins birthday lunch with close family. Service excellent and food ordered very good. Pleased that no service charge added as prefer to tip myself. Would recommend this pub/restaurant.

Service was brilliant but restaurant very quiet, only 1 other table in the conservatory in use and one table in the rest of the restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime. Disappointed with the fish and chips, the fish was pollock not cod and the batter was tasteless and anaemic. The chunky chips were too well done, no nice soft centre, crispy all through and some hard and inedible. My husband enjoyed his burger. Saving grace was the sticky toffee pudding, delicious. Was taken for a treat by a relative so didn't complain on the day.

Been here many times, today the main course was delicious as always. Mini chicken pie gorgeous But the Eaton mess wasn’t Eaton mess just air with a bit of fruit, where’s the cream ?? Meringue wasn’t nice either tasteless Shame but £8 for a bowl of air sorry not for me.

Poor quality very over priced. Most people would cook better at home. I would have complained, and asked for a refund on food, but fiance too polite.

Not visited for many years , pleasantly surprised a nice pub , good selection of beers and friendly efficient service , will visit again .

I went there one evening with a friend for a drink. It is a laid-back, traditional country pub that caters to the neighborhood's residents. There is hardly much activity in this quiet village. The post office, a tiny grocery store in Nisa, a pharmacy, and the church are the only public areas in the community.

Visited for Sunday lunch as a party of 8 with small children. Excellent location, felt warm and welcoming. Food was absolutely first class, starters were superb and amazing Sunday roast. Would definitely recommend

The Blue Bell is the BEST pub around the vicinity. The food, service and atmosphere is splendid. It was a lunch stop for us on our way to Gatwick from Bourne and we didn’t have a booking but they seated us and were very accommodating. They found some Tabasco for me to go with their incomparable shoestring fries. We had the chicken BLT and the Cheesy Chilli Sausage sandwich. It was just the best. Love love love.

Five Star January Lunch We visited today whilst travelling through Peterborough on our way to Leicester. The pub had just reopened following their early January break & it was clear to see the team were eager to be back delighting guests once again. Immaculate standards, extremely welcoming (& to our dog as well). Being lunchtime we opted for a Gammon & Burger. Both of which far exceeded our expectations, perfectly cooked & served with innovative twists on the classic dishes you only expect to find in a quality independent pub. We enjoyed it so much we bought a gift voucher to give to our family that live nearby. Congratulations to the owners, hospitality is tough gig at present, but you're doing an incredible job!

We had a cracker of a Christmas Day lunch. The service was great, thank you! The food was superb, salmon, turkey with all the trimmings, then Christmas pudding topped with poached cranberries to give it a unique twist. Highly recommend! We would have preferred to sit in the restaurant rather than the bar area - fingers crossed for next year…

As always fantastic food in beautiful surroundings the Bell is our local restaurant but if it wasn’t we would still travel to it it’s a small menu but they do it so well I would recommend anything without hesitation.

Absolutely superb, Christmas Day lunch was delicious and the service impeccable. Everything you’d expect for Christmas Day and would recommend to all. Yes it might be consider expensive, but for us it is excellent value for money.

Friendly staff, good food, good company was enjoyed by all. Most of the family have problems with dairy and The Blue Bell took it all in their stride. We all came away with smiles and no cramps. Been before, definitely going to go back.

14 Ladies met for a Xmas Lunch get together. We ALL enjoyed the atmosphere, the food was amazing, fresh vegetables cooked to perfection. We couldn’t fault the meal and the staff were all lovely. Well done to you all.

A group of 13 were really well catered for in the garden room of this lovely pub. The atmosphere here I've always found warm and friendly and the staff very helpful. We had the Christmas Fayre menu and I can honestly say it was the best restaurant Christmas meal I've ever had . The meat was tasty and succulent, and attention was given to the vegetables which were again very tasty, and not just served up out of a saucepan of boiling water. Full marks to the Blue Bell for a wonderful meal and very happy people.

Proper country pub,absolutely loved it

Only the second time I have been here - Both times more than one of the male staff were surly and unsmiling, bordering on rude. Almost resented us being there I think. On the other hand the female staff were very friendly. Sunday lunch - The food was pretty good with one exception. The roast potatoes were clearly homemade, but reheated ( possibly had been frozen). You can always tell when this has been done as the skins get leathery and more difficult to cut

Found this pub very expensive and not at all friendly!! Food was ok (ish) but overly priced and not the best quality tbh! Have eaten far better for less. Found the bar staff very unfriendly, like they wanted your money but wanted you to leave asap

We went to the Blue bell today, Sunday for lunch. We pre booked several days before for six people and all was fine, Two days before we went we had an un expected visitor and so duly rang the Blue bell t see if we could add another person making a total of 7 people. We were told catagorically that they couldn't do this at all . Anyway as it transpired two of our party were unable to attend so our new guest was able to come with us, now only five. On arrival the place was reasonably quiet with several empty table all around the restauraunt area and pub, We came to the conclusion that they could just not be bothered. Without much ado we had a very lovely meal which was of the best quality and quantity. We all felt that the atmosphere amongt the staff was a little strained with no one smiling at all. I think the food desreves five stars but the attitude although pleasant would be far nicer if smiles were more forth coming.

Had a lovely traditional Sunday lunch . The roast beef was so tender and full of flavour, likewise the roast chicken was just as good all served with excellent fresh vegetables and cauliflower cheese. The desserts of cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding were so so good. All the staff were friendly , happy and obliging when we requested the air conditioning to be turned down in the garden room.

This is one of our favourite restaurants to eat at. The staff are always very friendly and professional and the food is simply wonderful. We had the Lamb special and the Hake dish and both were cooked to perfection. There is a lovely garden area where you can also eat or enjoy a drink. Thoroughly recommend.

Very limited menu. Don’t have the smoked salmon, prawn and crayfish. There was no smoked salmon in it. That made it the dearest prawn and crayfish cocktail in Peterborough. When I raised the matter I was told it was mixed in with the prawns and crayfish. It wasn’t!

Wow. What a fabulous venue for a girlie catch up!! The food was amazing the waiting staff were so friendly and so accommodating - 10 out of 10 guys - this is what we want out of a local country pub. You guys have nailed it

An excellent Sunday lunch today with family members,and that includes my 94 year old aunt who really enjoyed her meal( Childs portion), extremely helpful staff and very good service.Outside temperature was 30c but our table was in a rather cool area which helped considerably and wasn’t to busy .

Fantastic Sunday roast beef dinner etc. plus pudding. Chocolate brownie Sundae was quality. £70 for two dinners, two desserts , two shandys plus a double gin. Good service and all rather nice.

Fantastic service , very friendly and helpful, parking great , prices good, quality of food and potions good. Recommend this pub to anyone who has dogs as they are made welcome too. Water in dog bowls given to dogs also if you order food for your dog that is also served in a proper dog bowl.

Came here with a friend for lunch. Fish mini fillet sandwich was greasy and soggy, the bread it was served in was huge which I didn’t eat, ended up taking the stuff out of the sandwich. I like this place, but today it lacked something. The waitress looked like she absolutely didn’t want to be there. No smile, no banter…just blankness! Left fairly quickly on what should’ve been an afternoon catch-up.
