very generous portion size and super yummy chips BUT the Donner was disappointing as was soft and undercooked,so greasy was leaking into the bag from it . willing to give it another go if the Donner gets cooked for longer as my portion had not a single sign of it being grilled

Does anyone know the difference between a pasty and a slice? Yes they look totally different. You can't call a cheese and onion slice a pasty. Trades description act. The pasty I assume was frozen. It was colourless. The filling could have been anything...looked like baby food. The pastry had been burnt in the freezer and along with rest of the pasty inedible. The cheese and onion slice was pretty rank too. So the child was all that was edible. And the drink that was possibly cold wasn't cos it was in the same bag as the food.

Don’t like doing this , but for the first time I’m complaining the food was not hot. Never had this issue before . Will now make me think twice about ordering , a takeaway is a treat for me , and it’s become a expencive meal so when it turns up cold that my meal wasted

Burger was nice but the cheesy chips arrived cold and haven't even melted the cheese - I'm sure they would have tasted fine otherwise... I would say it was because of the delivery but if the cheese hasn't even melted that means they weren't hot to begin with!

Got regular cod and chips 3 times, cost £30, 2 were good, the third was small, greasy, and stodgy. The fish was nice but batter to thick. Shame!

Chips were ok however a lack of a small portion size means it isn’t suitable for everyone. Wait times are in excess of 20 minutes with no free parking nearby.

First time here. All in all it was decent. Sausages and chips were great. Onion rings were a bit under done and the curry sauce was more like a drink than a sauce. All the food was still hot even though delivery was a touch later than requested. Would look to try again in the future for sure though.

Took too long to get here. Delivered at 19.35. should have been here by 1850. Delivery driver didn't know where she was going. Went over to dogsthorpe. Not good service

The food here is great. Sadly today my order defaulted to collection instead of delivery. As soon as I realised, I rang (had to ring 3-4 times to get through) to explain the error and essentially got told "not my problem". Didn't offer for me to pay a delivery fee to have it delivered or shown any amount of care after explaining I am unable to collect.. 15 pounds of food down the drain. shame.

Food was good, small gripe with order. I paid nearly £5 for a large bottle of Diet Coke which is advertised as 1.5ltres on the menu, I received a 1.25ltre which is false advertising especially for the price. However the burgers were on point. Chips lovely and chicken nuggets absolutely spot on.

Worst fish I’ve ever had, batter was hard with hardly any fish! At £9.10 just for the fish I was expecting it to be nice and big but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Will not be ordering from here again!

The Golden Cod is a lovely traditional takeaway Fish and Chip shop. It can get quite busy, always a good sign, but they have an electronic notification system so you can call back when your order is ready, if you wish. The food is absolutely perfect, I had cod with chips, mushy peas and gravey, delicious. Thank you.

Usually most of the food that I'm ordering is good .. But this time i decided to go for this restaurant .. In my life , i didn't taste something more awful . THE FRIES WARR FULL OF OIL . THE FISH WAS SMALL AND SOILED OF OIL Went to the bin and both me and my partner were disappointed. The photos are nice but the reality is other . Maybe you gonna improve your services .. is shame to loose customer at first try . For us is a big NO ..

Ordered fish and chips for the family (5) and the price was average. Delivery is extra though disappointing considering I spent over £30 for the food. It arrived on time which was impressive as it was a Friday, it was hot too so well done for that! Unfortunately the food was sub standard, oily over battered fish and greasy chips… massively disappointed.

Great food but delivery driver took 45 minutes to cover an 8 minute journey, app showed him parked up for 20 minutes while making another delivery

Terrible food, whilst opening the packaging it poured out with grease going down the sides, over my clothing and floor. The food was abysmal and the kids won’t eat it.

If you want to pay by card. You must spend over £5. Customer service is appalling as they are rude and don't show some value and respect to their customers. They scam you with a regular sausage batton which looks small. They are stingy with the sauce and charge you 50p
