Got regular cod and chips 3 times, cost £30, 2 were good, the third was small, greasy, and stodgy. The fish was nice but batter to thick. Shame!

Chips were ok however a lack of a small portion size means it isn’t suitable for everyone. Wait times are in excess of 20 minutes with no free parking nearby.

First time using this chip shop for a walk in order of 14 people. Decent service, can pay on card, receipt provided and decent portions. Fish was massive all around spot on.

The Golden Cod is a lovely traditional takeaway Fish and Chip shop. It can get quite busy, always a good sign, but they have an electronic notification system so you can call back when your order is ready, if you wish. The food is absolutely perfect, I had cod with chips, mushy peas and gravey, delicious. Thank you.

Ordered fish and chips for the family (5) and the price was average. Delivery is extra though disappointing considering I spent over £30 for the food. It arrived on time which was impressive as it was a Friday, it was hot too so well done for that! Unfortunately the food was sub standard, oily over battered fish and greasy chips… massively disappointed.

If you want to pay by card. You must spend over £5. Customer service is appalling as they are rude and don't show some value and respect to their customers. They scam you with a regular sausage batton which looks small. They are stingy with the sauce and charge you 50p

Awful service. Took my money & refusing to support me through Uber Eats also. Staff hung the phone up on me.

This was my 1st chippy tea since lockdown. I was very impressed with the Covid safety measures in place. I used their online click and collect service and was very easy to place an order. The food was amazing and would recommend to others.
