Enjoyed a walk around the woodland with our dog. Popped in for a light snack lunch. Run by volunteers, a friendly community atmosphere, welcoming everyone including dogs. Simple menu with inviting cakes. Good coffee and proper pot of tea. Lovely outlook across the orchard and quiet.

Called in for coffee and snack at around 2 pm. Missed the soup and bread by 2 people. Ordered coffee, Victoria sponge and carrot cake. Waited around 20 mins. Watched other customers served with similar arriving after ourselves. Caught staff to ask about cake to be told all had been sold. When we ordered there 3 slices of carrot cake and around 3/4 of a whole Vic sponge. Staff were mega apologetic and we had a very small slice of lemon cake... not worth the cost and left. Customers also brought dogs in with them. I have no problem with this but the echo environment of doggo's barking and screeching kids was not pleasant. We will not be returning...

We walked through the woods to look at the snowdrops and then had an excellent Hot Chocolate. Which was good value

Lovely venue, and good value, but a year later the service is a little disorganised. Also the cleanliness of the crockery needs to be checked.

Cheerful service and a nice setting for the cafe. Appeared to be child friendly with things to do. The cake was fresh and the tea nice and hot so whats' not to like

Food menu choices seemed good. We decided to start with teacakes ... teacakes were overdone, the butter had obviously defrosted and been refrozen, one packet of butter was used (empty) and we were not given the jam! We asked for the jam, the staff member was surly, we were given one jar so had to ask for another. One tea mug was sent back as it was dirty. Staff attitude was that they couldn't care less about presentation or how to talk/deal with their customers, perhaps it is because the staff were on their school holidays and it wasn't their full time job ..... anyway we will definitely not be returning. Such a shame as a lovely location.

We went for the snowdrop and fairy walk, which was lovely. Then stopped of at the cafe for tea and cake. Service was a little slow and disorganised but the tea and cake was great. We sat outside in the sunshine. We enjoyable afternoon with the grandchildren who also like the woodland children’s play equipment.

Bright, airy and comfortable. Parents with small children. Well-behaved dogs welcome. We shared a big slice of Courgette & Avocado Cake, like carrot cake but with green filling! A very pleasant experience followed by a walk in the small woods between newly harrowed fields. Easy parking, good views of the stately home from all sides.

We popped in at a Saturday lunchtime when we realised the cafe had re-opened. We ordered sandwiches and were advised that they were just getting more cheese; we were happy to wait. Sadly it was not worth waiting for as there was so little cheese in the sandwiches. Bread was dry and overwhelming as there was so little filling. Service was chaotic and the forks and serviettes we asked for never arrived. Lots of uncleared tables left a poor impression and other guests were complaining about long waits and wrong orders. Its such a shame as this used to be a great cafe and is in a really lovely location.

Attended today to do Halloween hunt with the kids. Took my son into the Woodland cafe and ordered chips and chicken dippers which take 3 mins in a deep fat fryer. We waited 32 mins for our food and had to chase up. Was told there was a group in front that weren’t even there when we got there. The place is chaotic no management run by students or young kids and no idea on how to be customer friendly. The back kitchen is useless as no idea on timing. My son is 3 so he gets restless. I have read reviews and clearly this place needs to Sort out a management structure and back and front of house! Won’t be going back soon as this was the second time where it’s been so so so slow!!

Sadly, like so many establishments there was no salad cream so I had to go for my 2nd favourite filling which was only served in a paninis according the the menu. I asked if they could put the brie, bacon and cranberry filling in bread and they happily obliged. The bread was lovely, not plastic bread which you find in other places. The staff were very pleasant and polite. The place was quiet and clean. I would go here for a lunchtime snack again.

The woodland cafe at Moggerhanger Park reopened in January 2018 to much fanfare on Social Media, and it certainly looks like an enticing place to enjoy breakfast or lunch in the surroundings of the parkland. This venue should be a little treasure and could be a great success, but it's so ineptly managed that it is almost comical.

Visited for the Snowdrop trail through the woodlands which I have seen shared numerous times on Facebook and was looking forward to a stop in the cafe afterwards.

We were enticed by photo #1 on TripAdvisor - a delicious full English breakfast... turns out the photo is out of date. Okay, this may not necessarily be the establishments fault. So picked from the usual, but well-priced fare on the menu. Despite the cafe being only around a third full, there was some confusion over orders. We received our jacket potato with a generous amount of tuna. Wait. Warm mackeral salad arrives. Wait. Tea arrives. Wait. Hot choc arrives (although without the marshmallows it was supposed to have). The family next to us experienced similar issues. Its a shame the experience was spoiled by disorganised service because the food and setting were nice.

A very pleasant afternoon spent sitting in the courtyard sipping tea and catching up with a friend. I had tuna mayo sandwiches, which was delicious, well-priced, freshly made and good portions. The staff were helpful, friendly and didn't seem to mind that we were still chatting when it was closing time.

Went to Moggerhangar Park on 1st May to see bluebells. Beautiful. Grandchildren loved the play area and the dens that had been built in the grounds. Visited the cafe which has now moved to the old kitchen. What a shame. No atmosphere as the old place had with its China cups and teapots and mis matched comfy seating. Far too small inside but plenty of tables and chairs outside. There was 7 of us and then joined by another 3. Ordered coffee and ice cream for the children. Lovely ice cream but 15 minute wait to be delivered to table and at 3.25 per serving - tad expensive. No ice cream freezers for lollies etc. Cakes in short supply. Bring back old cafe!
