Was looking for a bite to eat And decided to try here. It was quite empty and lacked a bit of atmosphere. The menu was limited and I opted for the quiche with home-made coleslaw. It was okay and fairly priced but I don’t consider one teaspoonful of coleslaw to be worthy of calling it a side salad. Not sure if I will come back as it was very limited on the plus side I could hear myself speak to my colleague as it was so empty.

Although it gets very busy and noisy it is handy to have a snack before going into the Theatre and always most enjoyable.

This has become our favourite place for lunch when visiting Barnstaple. Its on the first floor of the Theatre ( there is a lift and;or stairs) .. the restaurant is not obvious ( we found it by chance) - the way in is opposite the row of small shops in "Butchers row". Clean, warm. comfortable. Great food at a fair price served by friendly people. For a light lunch away from "Burgers & fries" or a coffee chain this is a place well worth finding.

The cafe is upstairs within the theatre. There are lots of places to eat within Barnstaple, but I was glad I found this one, bearing in mind that it is fairly well hidden away. The staff were very friendly, prompt and helpful. The menu is not extensive, but there was a nice choice and I enjoyed my meal. The food was well cooked and I didn't wait too long for it.

This is an excellent café with friendly staff and good food. There is always some art on show by local artists as well and it is for sale.

From the From our window seat, the hustle and bustle in the street below seems like a speeded up, silent movie. It's great to hide for a while. It opewns your eyes how busy Boutport St is from above. They serve a big selection of paninis, sandwiches, salads and jacket potatoes. "The fruit cake is moist and packed with fruit, and the ginger cake has a rich hint of smoky black treacle which goes well with the icing.

In the Queens theatre but you have to go up stairs and not easy if not very mobile. I went with my 89year old mother in law who is not good with steps. A lift or disabled access would have been better Food ok.

The Gallery is a lovely space if you want to try something away from the hustle and bustle of the high street. The food is varied and fresh and the coffees are made by their friendly staff who are always eager to please. Nice little selection of bits for kids too :)

but I suppose by putting it on here it will get busy yet I hope not over run. Anyway , great place in the middle of town that is worth popping into , nice clean light and airy. I had a lovely coffee and bacon sandwich however they do do far more than this.

A very nice place for a quick meal. It was clean and the staff were friendly. The jacket potatoes we ordered were lovely and full of filling! Sadly the accompanying salad was inedible for us as it was doused with the most awful chutney flavoured dressing - even on the grapes. The menu did not say that the salad was dressed or we would have asked for 'no dressing'. No one came to enquire if everything was all right so we had no chance to mention it.

Tucked above the theatre in Barnstaple, This is a lovely spot with a good welcome. The range of food is wonderful and the air conditioning was most welcome on a hot day. It was a very good idea to design the space so that the lift arrives right in the side part of the actual café so several tables are very close for those who need that extra help. Information about what is going on in North Devon is on every table. The staff are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble.

Quality Fish and Chips. Good customer service and everything cooked to order. Little disappointed with portion size, but the quality more than made up for that, one of the best.

Four of us popped in today and we were glad we did ! Looking through the window showed it was full but a table of four had just got up so we sat in their seats :) We all had the Breakfast at £11 each. Couldn’t fault the meal at all, plenty on the plate and locally sourced. Really good selection of coffee, tea and fresh orange 🍊 juice. Highly recommended Get a seat and order at the counter. Very pleasant polite service as well. Seating outside. Well done 👏👏

Stumbled across the cafe when we arrived in Ilfracombe and needed coffee. Quaint and characterful and clearly has it's regular customers. Coffee was good and hot but the homemade Eccles cake was amazing! The other treats looked good too. Coming across The Naked Cake cafe was the best thing about Ilfracombe which was otherwise, tatty and very down at heel.

I have always enjoyed this restaurant, food and ambience, and indeed, the food on my last visit was up to the usual standard. But am I imagining it, or were the prices raised far more than I would have expected. Energy is expensive, I know that. But if prices go too high, and some prices on this menu were eye watering, there is a danger of killing the goose that lays the golden egg. And that would be a pity. Food 5 star, prices not so.
