A delightful cafe. Best tea cakes and bacon rolls for many a mile. Very cosy with the warmth from the log burners. Excellent coffee as well.

I’ve noticed a post with a little grumble ! Sorry to hear, This is my take on the wonderful ,quiet , relaxing cafe to meet up, There isn’t many tables & it’s wonderfully quiet to meet up with family & friends you haven’t been able to see & feel super safe with the guidelines , They have a wonderful terrace So you can sit outside, You walk into the warmth of the just amazing wood burner show room below , The hot food is prepared to order, there is a selection of homemade cakes on cake stands they are beautiful presented & equally delicious , That is why you may have a little wait ,the fresh scones are warmed in the Aga in the cafe on display ,that to me is atmospheric, it’s just homely , The staff are quiet ,but not unfriendly, there calm & efficient in very good service , And I’m sorry but I’ve never looked at the prices ! As to me This place I say is my best kept secret ,I’ve wanted to keep it too myself till now ! Please go and visit this lovely cafe & look at the showroom of top products that they sell as you sip a cuppa & enjoy a warmed scone .

Very disappointed at this cafe , called in for a coffee and bite to eat, waited a good while to be served ( it’s only a tiny place) miserable looking faces on the staff , we ordered 3 toasted cheese and ham sandwiches 1 tea 1 coffee , £22 20 p . The bread was just slightly warmed not even toasted , and the salad that was served looked and tasted as if it had been prepared the day before . Very poor , won’t be returning , in this moment in time customers need to feel welcome not just for the money aspect . Felt it was overpriced for what we had

This cafe is within Topstak and probably one of the best cafes ever! The cakes are cooked in an Aga ( or Esse) several times a day and the carrot cake is easily the best we have ever tasted. Well done Ella! Service is good to and the Covid measures are sensible. Thanks!

Lovely place surrounded by nice fire places. The food selection is nice and the food is fresh and tasty. The Victoria's sponge cake is to die for! Lovely customer service. We go there on regular basis. This place has a little charm. You can also do some home décor shopping.

Been here many times and realised I hadn't left a review, just a short and sweet one. The staff and welcome is always warm and friendly, very good menu and the coffee is fab. Anything from sandwiches to the cake are amazing and all homemade, think over all we've had the carrot, chocolate so far and lemon which we had this time on Saturday yum! I love the setting, always clean too. I love of course looking round the furniture, fires etc and it's so cosy. Will be here again very soon :)

I am not a desert and cake person, I love savoury stuff, but I have to say the home made carrot cake here is to die for. They do good value food at reasonable prices. The cakes and scones are home made, generally in the Aga stove. .They do good home made soups. Sandwiches, paninis, jackets etc. Friendly and efficient service. The Top Stack Showrooms are interesting to explore, and The Gallery has an interesting array of gifts, There is a good toy corner for children, which means our grandchildren are kept happy whilst we eat. My 95 year old Mum loves it and the staff make a big fuss of her. There is a disabled self operated lift so we can get her up to the café. We are regular visitors, as a couple, with the grandchildren, and with Mum. Oh! ANd they do great coffee. I am fussy with my coffee.

I usually drop into The Gallery once a week on the way back to Llantwit after cycling in the Vale. All the choices I have made have been excellent, always fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced. The scones are delicious and the coffee is of the highest quality. The staff are very professional and always welcoming, newspapers are freely available which is handy when you are on your own. I would certainly recommend this cafe when passing.

Waited over 2 hours for the arrival of our meal. When it arrived, I was very disappointed, tough chicken, flavourless, mint sauce and condiments were poor quality, popadums were all broken. Will never order again, I will never recommend. Do not order if you are looking for authentic Indian cuisine.

Stunning food. The chicken tikka baguette was so good!! You could taste the freshness of the food! My colleague had a jacket potato with creamy cheese and that was absolutely lovely too and very well presented.Highly recommend this place!!

We got a takeaway for a birthday and my hot and sour soup was sweet and not hot or sour. My Szechwan prawns was chicken and gloopy sauce and not hot at all. The rice was greesy also. Will not be ordering from here again. My mother I in laws chow mein had pork and it was tough.
