Footgolf, Driving Range and The Clubhouse Restaurant in The Vale of Glamorgan

Decent new course, bit pricey mind but a good club house to finish with a pint.

A hudge thank you to the wonderful staff who made our wedding day special couldnt of asked for more everything was perfect pefect as we had little one for day and weather was in luck for us just thank you all so much still quiet over whelmed

Visited driving range. £3 for half a bucket, £6 for full bucket. Half a bucket is about 35 balls. Had to wait as every bay was being used. Only about 10mins wait.

We attended a wake in the clubhouse yesterday. The staff were lovely. Helpful and welcoming. The buffet was good value for money. The room was warm and clean. We would definitely recommend and would consider this venue again. Thank you to everyone that made the day easier :-)

We had our son's 13th party here, they played foot golf which they thoroughly enjoyed. The food that we ordered for them was very good,

This is for the driving range Closes at 8pm which is a little early especially in the summer,and can quickly run out of balls if busy, ball machine is turned off at 7.30 so get here early if you want to practice!

Can you make it a golf course again pls .?

Nice place for a party or funeral

Unfortunately had to arrange a wake to celebrate the passing of my mother-in-law which took place yesterday at The Clubhouse, St Andrews Major. The venue was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We'd ordered a buffet and realised on the morning that 2 guests were vegans, a last minute message asking for them to be catered for was dealt with speedily and 2 lovely plates of food provided. The finger buffet provided was very nice with a mix of hot and cold food and tea and coffee was also provided. Being so close to the Vale of Glamorgan Crematorium, just off Barry Link Road, with good parking facilities, it's ideally placed for a get together after with friends and family. Would certainly use again for other events. Thanks to all the staff.

Used the driving range today. I think the targets need a little upgrading, but on the whole, it was a tidy place to practice. It is well worth a visit and it is clean and tidy. I only go here to practice golf and I don't eat here. They have new targets in place and it is much better. A good place to practice when the weather is slightly against you.

I'm not normally one to review places but, was here on Saturday on the range. We decided to stay for breakfast which came out in good time and hot. My partner paid extra for more bacon & hash browns. Really enjoyed it, will deffo come back again!

Very expensive for what you get. Beans were dry 1 bacon dry as over cooked 1 sausage, mushrooms were ok. Toast came un buttered and cold. Seems we were the only ones waiting it could have been hot. After considering this place for an up coming party I'm reconsidering

Plain but nice .No mashed spuds apparently mash spuds is an Irish thing!!!!!!Asked for butter firm roasties and thats a nother Irish thing .!!!!! Place was clean ,staff friendly ,plenty of seating inside and outside .

Really good Sunday lunch and good service and very pleasant staff 5 star excellent food will recommend to all my friends.

Beautiful setting! The boys really enjoyed Footgolf and it was great value for money (£10 game of footgolf & hot meal & drink). Highly recommend! Staff were great.

A beautiful place, lovely environment . Buffet food and room hire was very reasonable. Food presentation and quality was without question first class. It’s of my opinion St Andrew’s is probably one of the nicest places in Barry for family gatherings and functions. 5 stars don’t do it justice - environment-food quality - lovey helpful kind staff - washrooms are extremely clean - parking made easy

Just got back from the foot golf. It's such a great idea and my 10 year old and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A variety of pars, well sign posted and just something different. Hole 9 is interesting because you have to get your ball across a pond and if it goes in the water, your can retrieve your ball with a long pole but watch out for the goose. She doesn't like you and will hiss at you because let's face it, it's her domain 🤣. Wholeheartedly recommend this place.

A hidden clubhouse restaurant with lovely surrounding , freshly made food, friendly staff.

Great place to spend the morning or the afternoon. Went there for a stag and we had tons of fun kicking the ball around. Perfect mix of being outdoors, moving around without being exhausting.

Sunday lunch was 10/10. First time we had lunch there definatly will go again.

Friends had advised me of the great food at the Clubhouse Restaurant. Therefore I went their today with my wife for breakfast. On arrival we were welcomed by very pleasant staff who ushered us to a table in the restaurant. The place was very well presented and spotlessly clean. The breakfast supplied was plentiful, hot and tasty and well priced. The restaurant is sited in pleasantly grassed surroundings giving a relaxed atmosphere, the staff offered a comfortable, warm environment. We will be definitely be going to the clubhouse restaurant again, it was an excellent experience.

Had my 50th birthday celebrations there last weekend. Everyone was so helpful. Nothing was any trouble. The atmosphere was great. The buffet was delicious and tastefully displayed. Guests had great comments about it. They will probably be booking parties there as commented such a good venue.

Lovely Sunday lunch at St Andrews clubhouse. The food was served hot with plenty of meat and veg. I was really pleased with the service and food.

A great facility. Easy to find, lots of parking, all the bays have decent tees, ball machine works fine, great bar restaurant attached.

Brilliant venue for food, the service is excellent and it's been newly refurbished so looks and feels very fresh and clean. We visit regulalry and highly recommend the cooked breakfast and the fish & chips. Great value and excellent quality food. Free and easy parking right outside the door and very family friendly venue. Bonus in the summer that they have the beer garden which is perfect for drinks or food. We spent the summer bank holiday Monday here all afternoon and had a brilliant day with friends.

The clubhouse which has recently been refurbished is a great place for breakfast, lunch or evening meal. Fantastic home cooked food with a great selection of reasonably priced drinks.

Great fun playing football golf. But it was very wet and muddy. Will look forward to playing next year in dry and sunny conditions.

Food & service & course were all first class will definitely play again

Last went to St. Andrew 3 years ago and not too impressed BUT what a difference now. Been very impressively updated plenty of room and in the present situation very well organised. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal while looking out onto beautiful scenery. Will definitely pay than another visit 😋

Ai is now only driving range and golf football course

I was delivering cement to thier driving/shooting range. Beautiful green and the range is a good size too, will definitely be coming back when the lockdown is lifted.

Booked foot golf as surprise for my sons Birthday. The day before we were due to go the weather wasnt great so on the morning of our booked session i rang up to check the pitch would still be ok to play on, i was told yes its fine but might be a bit muddy. Got there in the afternoon and were informed that some tees werent actually playable due to the weather so we asked for a discount but were told "if you choose to play, you pay" I couldnt very well say to my Son "surprise, now lets go home" so the boys decided to play. Turns out only 4 out of the 9 tees were even accessible, the water was up to their knees!! Absolute joke, if i had been told this on the phone when i had called we wouldnt have wasted our time and gone down. Afterwards my Husband tried to complain, but the ever helpful Julie said 'well i did warn you'. If i can add photos to this you will see just how bad the course was. So disappointed, ruined what was supposed to be a lovely birthday surprise. Wont be going again, and neither will any of our party! If i could give 0 stars i would. **UPDATE** My Husband contacted the Manager. He was very apologetic and is giving us a refund.

St Andrew's foot golf is a good bit of fun easy to play the 9 hole course.

Recent significant price increase in the driving range. Was previously £1 for 26balls offering best value in the area. Now almost doubled to £3 for 40 making it one of the most expensive. Nevertheless a decent range, well looked after.

Lovely place for Sunday lunch! Good selection of meat and veg. Upgraded the roasts from frozen to homemade. Seasonal veg fresh. A must try.

Absolutely lovely Sunday dinner for me and my family. Very accommodating for families and nothings too much trouble. Very reasonably priced and great portion sizes! Thank you from the Spence family

Love this club food is fantstic, if you are a golfer then you have your own clubs, why borrow get your own.👍

Driving range that doesn't hire clubs! About as useful as a car without wheels.

They stopped renting equipment 'last year" but there are signs everywhere saying clubs are available for hire. If you've been before and you have clubs, you MIGHT be able to hit a few.

The chefs food is amazing and the staff are making you very welcome
