Marco's Pizza & Burger Takeaway in The Vale of Glamorgan

We arrived for a quick drink before returning to the airport and the experience couldn't have been better. They were very friendly when we arrived, we talked a little about our trip and football, they gave us a portion of potatoes and gave us a small discount on the final price. We ordered a ham and mushroom pizza and it was very delicious. The bread style dough and very tasty ingredients. I am convinced that we could not have chosen a better place to dine.

Last time I had a Marcos was years ago and wasn't as nice. But tonight it was superb. My wife to be was very impressed as it tasted like a proper pizza than we normally get round Barry. Hoping for more in the near future.

Awful food not cooked through at all, pizza was doughy and delivery was over an hour order was also incorrect, do not recommend.

3 quid for delivery???? Should be ashamed

Stunning pizza, cheese is fresh and you can taste it, base cooked perfect, rise on the edges but soft and fresh enough so no leftovers, really enjoyed my food tonight, tried everyone but this was spot on.

Love a pizza from Marco’s. I’ve been ordering pizzas from here for nearly 30 years. Always tasty, piping hot and delivered within a reasonable time. Very reasonably priced. Always friendly and polite service from the owner.

First time ordering from this restaurant, and I must say really enjoyable. The Cheese burger and pizza were extremely fresh, packed with ingredients and tasty. The fries a little dry I thought, but we ordered small so easy enough to get through. They sent the wrong ice-cream, we ordered chocolate brownie, but received chunky monkey. Not a fan of banana ice-cream, so that was the only negative point. Overall delicious food, fresh & hot, arrived quickly and good value. Would order again!

So I ordered a pizza and dip and i got a cold pizza and chips.

I ordered a garlic bread that was rock solid when it came I had chips and I ordered nothing related to onions and I found multiple chunks of onions within my chips and I had a stone cold cheese pizza that had cut lines but the pizza was all still in one piece

The food was very good. Although I'm sure I received the wrong pizza as it didn't taste like a chicken tikka pizza. More cheese and mushroom. I did enjoy it regardless. They even brought me change back as had no curry sauce which was very honest. Thanks.

Great pizza! Great value for money. The pizzas more like a deep pan because there is loads of dough. The BBQ chicken one could have done with more sauce and the margarita pizza. Was more like cheesy bread. Fresh and tasted ok. Definitely has potential to become our favourite place for pizza if the dough, cheese and sauce ratio could be done better.

Waited over an hour and 20 minutes for my pizzas to come a mess! All the toppings were slid to one side like they had been flung around! Onion rings were cold as they were in a tray with cold salad!

Chips were not cooked, greasy and soggy. Pizza undercooked and tasteless.

Pizza was very doughy. Not a lot of pepperoni on the pizza either. Chips and garlic mushrooms were ok.

Best pizza in town and came earlier than expected. Result

Delivered early which was great, super food, really happy.

The pizza base was very nice, a lot of places have a generic/cheap tasting base - especially at these prices. However this crust differed. It was only the crust that was nice actually; the rest of the pizza was absolutely drowning in soggy wet cheese. It made it incredibly difficult to tear a slice out, just leaving half the slice attached to the rest of the pizza in a pile of soggy mess. I’m a fan of cheese but this was ridiculous. It was just quite annoying, and certainly wasn’t a pleasure to eat overall. The box looked situating but the end.

By far the best take away in Barry, the food was made by someone who is world class👍🏼

The worst takeaway food I've ever had. A 12 inch pizza that was mostly crust with a small amount of topping in the middle, which was like a pool of greasy slop. A total rip-off.

Pizza was okay. Not great. Burger was probably the absolute worst burger I’ve ever had. No flavor at all, clearly some sort of frozen “beef” product. Price was good, that’s about it.

Awful. Pizza not cooked properly and missing a topping. Not nice at all. Went straight in the bin. I'm gutted. Tried to call but no answer

I accidentally got the address on my order wrong (used my address and was staying at parents). Marcos attempted delivery and left on doorstep as I had paid. When realising what happened, the lovely man generously decided he'd make the whole order for me to collect free of charge and threw in a free drink! Was lovely food too. Thank you, will definitely order from here next time (with right address!) 😊

Food was absolutely disgusting, the garlic bread was just a warmed up mushy baguette , no dips came with it even though itwas meant to , the pizza wasn't even alixe properly , didn't havent coleslaw just gave me the money back . Just an over all bad experience. He said he's been doing it for 30 years . His pizza tastes 30 years old! Never again

Ther was a number of issues with my order. 1 I asked for bbq bace on my pizza and ther was hardly any on ther.. 2 I asked for peppers on the pepperoni pizza and had all of three slice of peppers. 3 I asked for dip with the pizza witch I never received. 4 I asked for cherry coke and got apple tango couldn't be any further from what I wanted. And I was not asked if I wanted a different drink. 5 I asked for large chips and had a medium portion at best. The last time I orders from u I had isseus I keep given u chances and u keep lettin me a customer down It will take a lot for me to order from u again I'm not a happy customer

Absolutely delicious food, pizza was tasty and full of flavour; the chips and scampi were hot and delicious and so was the garlic bread. Garlic mushrooms were a bit cold though. Will definitely be ordering from here again!

Came with two small pizzas as wasnt informed that there was no 16" pizzas available and also had cookie dough ice cream when i asked for baked alaska and also the chips were freezing cold and we never recieved the free bottle of drink or two sides free over orders over £15 when i spent £18.30???

Food arrived in good time so was a good start, pizza was beyond terrible, arrived cold and is what I can only describe as 20% pizza 80% bread, very few toppings and the base was ridiculously thick, the cheesy chips were just cold chips with around 10 grains of grated cheese, burger was OK but again cold as was delivered in an open bag, definitely won't be ordering again it'd be a zero star if possible

Our pizza boxes arrived soggy. There was not much taste to the pizza. We ordered cheese & chips... Some of the chips where still hard and food was cold. Profiteroles were way to frozen for consumption that evening. Really disappointed.

Prep ordered at 5.30pm for my food to arrive for 8pm.was late. Chips stone Cold all food in box’s then my burger was in a soggy wet paper bag.ordered the monster pizza missing toppings no prawns no Tabasco. was missing and not as stated in the menu. Plus they was not even warm.. all this with booking my food 2 hours in advance. Truly disappointed for a first time order.

Never fails lyndon is a true gentleman absolutely brilliant pizza I still won't go anywhere else I have tried a few in Barry but he's the best and domino's no thanks way over priced for absolutely no quality and never came through on a complaint so take a leaf out of marcos pizza top man top pizza thanks MARCOS 💖👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Disgusting food. Pizza was probably the worst I've ever received. Supposed to be a chicken pizza but all you could see & taste was cheese. Chips were rock hard & tasted awful. Salad was lovely though. Avoid this restaurant if you want to order a pizza

Your pizzas are the best in the UK by far, the dough tasted fresh and not frozen.

"Garlic chips" were soggy and tasteless. Pizza was an abomination. Tried to power through but all but the burger went straight in the bin. 1/10, would be 0 but the burger was ok.

When we placed the order the estimated delivery time was 19:20 although it was delivered at approx 18:55. Friendly delivery guy, fresh food and really tasty. The pizzas were beautiful, I haven’t ordered pizzas from Marcos since moving out of Barry but these did not disappoint. Still as yummy as ever! 🙌🏻🌟🍕 Will definitely be ordering again when I next visit family 👍🏻

Place an order on just eats when it turns up there was missing drink and even tho the driver let me off for the drink I told driver I wanted it so could u bring me it he said yeah no worries I said I would pay for it when driver left I also then rang the shop and was told that they would send me one out then waited for over 40 mins rang back and was told I am not going to get it as the driver gone home and the shop keeper can not get to me and now the money spent on the food has gone to waste as can not eat without a drink to go with it and food gone all cold and was not told that I was not going to get it untill I rang up and then got attitude when I pointed out that they had not stuck to what they was saying

I ordered a burger with cheese and they did not put the cheese on. I phoned to complain and thought as not to waste their stock I would decline a new burger and ask for the cheese as that was what I ordered. They then didn't deliver it for another 40 mins my burger is stone cold and it was their mistake I definitely would not recommend them.

Early arrival time which was a surprise. Food was good. Not the best but for the price it wasn't bad. I ordered 2 large chips &the portion sizes wouldn't even split between 3 people. So I think they were a bit tight on that. Burgers smelt lovely. But Hubby said his was very overcooked though & chewy. & for some reason 3 Burgers, two came in seeded buns and one in a plain bun that was stale. Not sure what to think really. They ate it so can't complain but I think I'd maybe go to the shop and order it once they are open properly to see them prepare it rather than order via an app again.

The beef burger was what you would get from a burger van. Was disappointed. The pizza was OK. Food arrived lukewarm. Quite sad as I’ve never had an issue with this place. Shame really
