My husband called in tonight 30th October. We have been many times for our fish and chips here. Never again, WHAT has happened ?? If we would have opened them before driving onto the prom, I would have returned them. A complete waste of money. Barely warm, some chips only just cooked, my fish has gone on the bird table.

Absolutely fantastic fish and chips, the best we have had for a long, long time. We had haddock chips and mushy peas, generous portions.

Looked up and down the fronts for a chippy and found this gem by accident down a street off the front. Queues outside which is a good sign of a good chippy, quality and more than ample portions. Good friendly quick service.

Spent my whole holiday looking for beef dripping cooked fish and chips , as North Wales is blighted by foul smelling places that cook in oil. I was not disappointed, flakey haddock, lovely chips and reasonable price. The only place to eat fish and chips in the whole area.

5* for cleanliness and friendliness of the server. The chips were mostly and good size, no little bits of potatoes you get too often at chippies these days. However, the large cod was rather disappointing. Not the largest compared to others I have enjoyed and the batter was rather disappointing - not very crisp and lacking in taste. Visited Bells today for fish, chips, curry and mushy peas. They were delicious. Best we've had in Wales. Will be back next week. If you haven't tried this chippie it's a must.

Tried so many fish and chip shops in the area but for me personally this is by far the best. Quick friendly service and fish and chips to die for. I travel a good 15 mile round trip but it’s well worth it.

Love this chippy it's expensive but they are the best chips you'll ever taste. We use this chippy when we've been to Llandudno for the day,it's our treat and we always enjoy them. The fish are cooked to order and are fantastic,very large and all very tasty 😋

I cannot remember ever EVER having been served such v v poor fish. The standard was utterly lamentable.The chips were “ok” & the mushy peas v good but the fish !!!! Ye Gods

Unrivalled! Simply the best fish and chips in North Wales, excellent service too. We travel 120 mile round trip for a weekly treat. Never disappoints. Superb!

Not great, small portions and a horrible after taste, only went here as our usual chippy was busy with the Extravaganza in Llandudno. Suspect they use beef fat in cooking.

I’m not saying this because I’m local, this is the best of the best. You cannot get tastier fish and chips. They never fail to impress us. It was made even more clear when they closed for refurbishment that they were head and shoulders over the others in the area. Chicken nuggets, burgers, fish cakes and sausages also recommended. Called here for tea after a day at the beach and so glad we did. Some of the nicest fish and chips we’ve ever had, the portion size was ample and fairly prices and they were cooked to perfection, the fish was beautiful and white and the batter was light and not greasy at all. The young fair haired lad who served us as well was an absolute pleasure so polite and chatty. We’re from Yorkshire and would definitely be eating here again next time we’re this way.

Stopped by on the way home from a trip away, was looking for a chippy and asked a random chap in the street where he had bought his from! He gave us directions and said that they were the best around. Between us we had fish, chips, sausage, curry and fishcake. All were very tasty, good sized portions, they even split one bag of chips in to two separate boxes for smaller portions. Fish was fresh and crispy, proper chippy curry too. Friendly staff, served with a smile and chit chat! Shop looked recently renovated and very clean. 10/10, will definitely call again when visiting Rhos on sea. 😎👌

I used to always go to this chippy, loved it and always recommended it however I have recently been diagnosed gluten intolerant. I went to the them this evening and was told that they couldn't help me at all and everything contained gluten. There wasn't even the slightest bit of wanting to help, the girl was lovely but the man wasn't interested at all. In this day and age people have ALOT more understanding for allergies but not here. I'm sure there will be plenty of other local establishments willing to help. I would definitely NOT recommend.

Food not bad but why are condiments not part of the service? 20p each? We spent £48, why do I need to buy 10 packs of ketchup. Won't be back....only came because next door was closed. Would not recommend!!! Walk with your own condiments.

Excellent fish and chips, would definitely recommend. We will be returning on our next visit to Rhos on Sea. We had a battered sausage which was freshly cooked and not soggy in the slightest. We also had a battered cod which my partner has described as the best fish he's had in a very long time! We had our chips to take away and enjoyed these on the beach. Staff were polite and helpful.

We visit family in Rhos and this chippy is our absolute favourite in north Wales. Staff are dead friendly, and the food is always delicious. We had two large fish , batter lovely and crispy, the size of the fish fantastic. Our little girl loves your fish. Curry sauce is fruity and SO tasty! We walked past here a few times during the week…….NEVER without there being a queue outside the door. We called Thursday evening about 1815 and there was still a queue….Fantastic fish and chips. Just fantastic.

We had a family chippy lunch and it was the best cod and chips we’ve ever had. The batter was light, the fish perfect, the chips beautifully cooked and the mushy peas & curry sauce were absolutely spot on. Nice lad behind the counter was very helpful and to eat them on the seafront was perfect.

Think Rhos on sea needs a new “wales’s best fish and chip shop” Entered the shop just as it opened to be greeted by a foul smell and off smelling oil.During this pandemic would have thought better, no hand sanitizer in sight, staff were mask less, girl serving said out loud she’d forgot her mask. Took over half an hour to get 2 bags of chips. This chip shop started doing deliveries during the Covid 19 pandemic. The deliveries are free and usually within 30 minutes. Very tasty fish and chips, fish are quite large and generous portion of chips. Ordered a few times now and will be ordering again.

We were in Colwyn Bay looking for some chips to eat overlooking the sea and came across this amazing place. It had a banner outside stating best fish and chip shop in Wales and that was good enough for us. The chips were the best I have ever had and we returned two days later for some fish and chips. The fish was perfectly cooked and the chips were yet again the best I've had. Very friendly young staff and extremely covid secure. Will be returning next time I am in the area.

I've been getting off of you guys for a couple months now so thought I'd spare some time to leave some feedback and I genuinely find it hard to find dissatisfaction with the service, food and price. ~£11 for a quality, freshly cooked beautiful meal. There's a perfect amount of gravy, crispness of the chips, batter consistency on the sausage and fish and succulent meat within the fish every time I've ordered thus far.Also, kind and polite service over the phone every time, they were understandably busy one day where it took around 2 hours for the food so I rang and asked how long they expect it to take for delivery, to which I was given a polite and friendly explanation (the food also arrived shortly after this phone call), they substituted a large haddock with a large cod and even rung me to make sure if I would be okay with this swap, I said okay and it turns out I paid 15p more which I said wasn't an issue, however, unbeknown to me, someone at the fish and chip shop actually took the time to put 15p in an envelope that said "Your 15p =)" and included this within the fish and chip bag, really thoughtful and wholesome!!I could go on a tad bit more but in summary, I would highly recommend giving the galleon a go if you get the time to. The Galleon, please do not ever change your ways as you serve as a good example to other food chains as to what kind of standards a proper restaurant should uphold.

We ordered a take-away on Sunday evening and decided to do it on line from our car at 7.10 pm.We were visiting from Blackburn after an errand in the area.It seemed very efficient and gave a precise wait time of 19 mins. My husband stood in the queue outside at the correct time which sadly does not distinguish between pre-ordered meals and phoned/ on line orders. All other chippy takeaways we have used have defined places to wait so this seemed unusual to us. Also only two customers were wearing masks inside which puzzled us thinking maybe Wales doesn’t have that rule? We checked the Welsh covid rules on crossing the border but didn’t notice if that was different? My husband waited for half an hour and eventually someone noticed and served him with the order and he returned to the car with the food at 8pm. It was very nice and worth the wait.Just after we finished eating we received a concerned phone call asking if we had forgotten to come for our order to which my husband replied we had eaten it. Still an excellent chippy just don’t use the on-line system if you are in a hurry it is obviously confusing when they are busy.

Given this establishment had banners proclaiming itself to be "The Best in Wales", we thought we were in for a treat! Due to covid, after queueing to order, you then pay and are told to wait outside the premises, you do not get to see the food. We ordered 2 chips, a pie and portion of baked beans. The chips had just 10 edible chips, the rest were scrag ends and bits, and too hard to eat, even if you wanted to! Some chips were soaked in grease, and clearly warmed up a number of times. The baked beans clearly had water added to them, there was less than 2 level tablespoons of beans in the pot covered in a pale coloured water. The pie fared better according to my friend, it was at least hot.This cost over £9, and most of it went into the bin.This is supposed to be the Best in Wales!Poor quality and disgusting food, does not encourage customers to return, especially at these prices. Will not be returning.
