The Frying Pan in Bromley

Asked for chicken nuggets, Cod Roe and stake and kidney pie deep fry mars bar with small portion of chips my dad never received steak and kidney pie just chips!!!! Not very good service this is not the first time

Known me all my life but made me clean up, a 14 year old clean up that is slave labour,

One of the very best fish and chip takeaways visited in a long time. I ordered by phone and the food was ready by the time it took me to walk there about 15 minutes. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely nice and pleasant. I felt like a regular customer although it was my first visit. Huge portions as well !!. Very good experience.

Our local chippy. The COD and chips are very nice. I can not comment on the other menu items as I have not tried any.

I came in the shop today and there was a woman waiting. A regular. I order my savaloys and chips. I get served up first. Then she said to the regulars. The fresh chips are almost ready. What she served me was only what I can describe as greasy mush. Discussed with this service I won’t return again b

A fantastic fish and chip shop in town. My first time to the frying pan, as I was in the area visiting & honestly my cod bites, wedges, mushy peas & chips was lovely. I gladly recommend. Also, there menu have a wide selection, so you will not be disappointed.The serving staff was delightful & the manager has a lovely, warming & professional hospitality to her customers. I really felt welcomed. Try them for yourselves, I do not feel that you will be disappointed. Best fish & chips in Orpington. I definitely will be returning back.

I am a Deliveroo driver, the staffs of the shop are all polite and friendly. The lady offers me some food to eat when I need to wait for the delivery. It is the best service I meet. Thanks

Its a great fish and chip shop the staff are friendly and kind treats everyone they do a lot for children they kind never rude. Always open on time and serves the best food always hot food not cold like some places the food is fresh and they do a hole choice of food. Don't knock it before you try it .

Been going here for around 5/6 years now and never disappointed, owners are always talkative and polite, prices are fair and portion sizes are generous, always clean, fresh and flavoursome food alongside drinks ive not seen in any other fish&chip shop. Highly recommend.

I have been ordering and eating from this place for around 8 years now and i can tell you they do not disappoint. Their burgers are amazing and delicious with the chips as soft and crunchy as you can imagine whilst being complimented by outstanding flavour. The prices are fair and 110% worth it for a mouth watering meal!

On the odd occasion, Frying Pan get it half right. The other reviews will have you thinking it's not a bad place but gosh, the last couple of times I've been there, they've really been inedible. I popped out as the other half was watching football and he gave me his card to grab some chips and chicken - he's in a good mood so I thought why not. I go there and a woman is sweeping up - not the normal lady, another one. Didn't say hello, didn't greet me, carried on tidying up before going behind the screen. I should have left then to be honest but I carried on. Because I've been burned before I asked the lady if the chips were fresh. She gave me a look like 'of course' and she proceeds to dig the chips out of the barrel. The chips looked a bit shiny but the lighting in the place hid the deception. They looked a bit off but I said load it with onion vinegar and salt. It'll save it. But there was no saving it! It was the worse chips I've eaten in my life. Aldi oven chips give me more flavour and freshness. It was stale, hard and vile. Absolutely no flavour. No enjoyment. It was as if it had been sitting there for hours. I took the risk because England are playing tonight. The demographic of the locals made me assume the frying pan would be busy (come on England) and I'd be safe choosing it but I should have taken the emptiness as a clear sign of what was to come. There were no locals. And there was no love in the food. Don't get me started on the hot wings. It was cooked flour. No salt, no pepper, no paprika, no secret recipe. Nothing. The other half was happy when I left but after coming home with the food (remember he paid) I'm in the dog house now. My recommendation is about a mile from here - the name of the shop is what you would call two babies born on the same day from the same mum and dad. Never again will I go to the frying pan. This is a real review TripAdvisor. I can give you the time and card used and other pertinent information to verify this. X

Worse food iv had in a long time all the chips all black and bad and burger 🍔was nasty cheap taste like the burgers in a tin hot wing taste like they been sitting there for a week sausage roll omg my son loves sausage rolls but even he couldn't eat it pastry was like polystyrene disgusting for the the price will nether eat from there again ever

Lovely, friendly chippy, 5 star rated (Scores on the Doors) and you can see why. The place is very clean, the staff are very friendly, the food is always fresh and there is plenty of it for a good price too. The quality is great and the atmosphere makes you want to return. They do good veggie options as well as a large selection of your traditional chippy fayre!

Friendliest chippy around with great food! The chips are always fresh cut; never frozen and it shows. In fact all the food is fresh and the fish is top notch. Wish we discovered how good the chicken and burgers were sooner! The chicken breast sandwich is not to be missed. Go hungry because the portions are very generous. It's well worth getting off the high street for a visit, though the locals might want to keep this place all to themselves.

I've known Ali and his wife (owners)for a number of years and they are always welcoming to one and all. Their chippy has an excellent choice of fish and other foods, always freshly cooked for the customers! I thoroughly recommend a visit there to enjoy both their hospitality and their food.
