An absolute gem of a pub. The food is exceptional and precisely what you’re looking for; the proprietors are absolutely charming people and pleasantly engaged and willing to make your visit perfect; the atmosphere is exactly as you’d want in a rural pub. 10/10.

I didn't stop for food or drink. They weren't serving food, thank God. We walked into the pub, and immediately, the 'locals' stopped and stared at us. This is definitely a local pub for local people. If you enjoy feeling super uncomfortable, then this is the place for you. It might do nice food and drink, I can't really comment on that, but the atmosphere absolutely sucks.

Worst pub I’ve ever been to. Within 1 minute of going in I was told off for (a) going into a room I shouldn’t go into (b) having my shoelaces undone and (c) parking in the wrong place. That last one, I was told twice and then laughed at for it by the whole pub, full of local community people all staring at me and intimidating me because I was a stranger. The barmaid was nice at least. I had never been to the pub before, never even been to the area, I left within one minute and will never go back.

Sunday roast - beef or pork - was the only offer for a main course on that day, but it was very nice! We felt like we are back to our childhood having Sunday lunch from our mums! Also, the very friendly staff made our afternoon enjoyable.

What a lovely pub! Husband used to come here with his parents as a teenager and our daughter asked where he would like to go for father days and he just said The Fox Inn, she called and booked a table which we were lucky to get a short notice on Father’s Day. Arrived, warmly welcomed and then got straight into food! The lady in charge was lovely, so accommodating to our fussy daughter, food was proper home cooked English pub grub! Garden perfect to bring our dog too, desserts were lovely. Thank you, we will definitely be coming back and bringing the grandparents! X

Your proper local pub. Sue, landlady, and other staff, always there to greet you with sincere smiles and greetings. Wonderful place at any time - all welcome, including dogs. Gather to sit in the bar area and catch up with friends by the log burner, watch the rugby, play a game of pool, or sit at a table out front or in the garden and enjoy the fresh air and countryside with your pint. Great stop off point for walkers and cyclists who need a rest and refreshment. Hearty food served too. Would recommend.

First visit the other evening, very welcoming, a real old fashioned pub in the best way! Haven't sampled the menu but will definitely return to do so. A small selection of real ales, the best Timothy Taylor Landlord I've had outside Yorkshire. Very much recommended if you are a fan of real pubs!

We've just had a lovely Sunday roast here. There was a choice of chicken or pork (or both if you wanted), 4 different vegetables, roast potatoes, stuffing ball, massive Yorkshire pudding & gravy. We were both stuffed so couldnt manage a pudding! We will definately be going back so will try one of those next time ;) The couple running it were both very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. Nice traditional pub, good pint and lovely log burner.

Visiting the area for the weekend. Some places make you feel exluded when not local to the area or a new face but this place was lovely. Fellow patrons and owners were very friendly and we were warmly welcomed. Would definately visit again and again if in the area

Traditional old pubs are becoming more and more rare. This is the kind of pub you can walk into not knowing anyone and people will chat or leave you alone if that's what you prefer. Don't expect fancy decoration or big screen TVs just a nice selection of well managed beers and a genuine welcoming atmosphere.

The Fox is our new local, wasn’t sure what to expect being new to the area but what can I say, we have been back every Sunday this year and it’s now April! Sue, Patrick and Jamie are beyond amazing. Patrick pours a great pint and enjoys welcoming you into the Fox, instantly feel welcomed. Sue is amazing, especially with my daughter and the large group we seam to being every weekend from extras to individuals requests, while Jamie cooks without doubt the best Sunday roast in town.... and I like a homely Sunday roast. The servings are massive, taste amazing, all for under £10!!!!! Highly recommend, if you don’t enjoy the staff, locals and food, find me and I’ll pay your bill :) Thanks all and see you next Sunday :) Sam, Ella and Bonni

We had a great time at Cheers! The staff were brilliant and very attentive, always offering more food which was great. The food was good quality and it was a very cool concept with the cooking of the steak on the table. We would definitely come again!

the food was pretty good from here if I had to make One criticism then it will be the kebab meat with too much grease on it that leaks onto the bread it makes it really soggy apart from that it was all fine
