The Fox & Hounds in City of London, Westminster

Great classic pub, we stopped here to get away from the crowds of Sloane Square. We were greeted warmly with a smile and the barmaid was very helpful with our drink selection. A great atmosphere with lots of interesting pieces on the walls. Will definitely keep this one in mind.

Great service, really friendly staff, we'd left some stuff here before going for dinner, bar staff kept it safe. Also a cosy place with good seating and great art work

Very small pub, very cozy as well. It offers a wide variety of beer, old fashioned draft beers using a pump-style tap. Very old school, lovely. You can then enjoy your pint outside

Smashing little pub right on a corner near but not too close to Sloane Square. Charmingly old fashioned decor (plenty of fox theming) and good beer, notably the Guinness which was nice and smooth. Clean and fresh but still dark and cosy with plenty of seating.

Terrible service unless you are a local, beer was quite ordinary, give it a miss

If you have disability’s or a POC I advise you not to come here, Why on earth I’m I being bullied by the Landlady for feeling abit down and crying abit due to something that happened earlier on my day Told her nicely that I didn’t want any issues and long story short her male member of staff continue to discriminate me etc Moral story is that I got kicked out and bullied by the staff and the Landlady in the process just because they may of saw me crying…. Me telling them about my autism then them laughing and bullying was just the icing on the cake I WILL NEVER COME BACK….EVER

Great pub. Standard beers, but did have Sussex Harveys on cask which is a bonus. Very friendly bar maid. Pretty small so can get crowded. Despite the description, it does have a tv showing sports, so avoid if you aren’t into rugby, football etc. if it’s a time that’s being shown….Highly recommend.

Best roast I've had in years. Highly recommend the spatchcock chicken.

Great cosy London pub with a good beer selection and a friendly landlord who plays chess

One of my locals and an absolute favourite. Warm, inviting, friendly - a proper local London pub where you meet people from all walks of life. Beer selection is excellent and it is kept extremely well. No pretentiousness here. My only problem with writing a review is that I don't want too many people knowing about it!

I went to an ale house I used to frequent - back in the 1980s the pub was one of the last ale houses in London. Run in those days by Diane and Roger it was a genuine Victorian boozer for the workers of the area to enjoy and rehydrate on great beer. Whilst there have been modest changes including the availability of spirits it is still largely faithful to its 1830s origins.

No food and no outside terrace upstairs but still my favourite pub. Small so it can be busy at times so you may have to take your drinks into the street. Usually a well chosen selection of cask ales on the four hand pumps which get it into the good beer guide again this year 2024/25.

Wonderful, traditional old pub, no blaring music or TVs on, except during special sports events. No food served here, but a great after five hang out, with mostly locals. Everything a classic pub should be!

A delightful little local pub of the kind you don't encounter often enough. Would go as far as to call this a destination venue so if your nearby, somewhat further afield, or even miles away, add it to your todo list and you'll be glad you arrived.

I've returned several times to The Fox and Hounds as it's lovely traditional proper pub (in my opinion a dying breed) to while away time while enjoying a drink or two. The well appointed decor adds to the bolt-hold cosiness from Londons hustle and bustle. The bar staff are friendly hosts, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring everyone is looked after, happy to make recommendations and patient with larger group orders, and the indecisive. Will definitely be dropping by next time I'm in the area.

The Fox is proper pub with great beers, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and an array of lovely locals. There’s no music. There’s a TV but it wasn’t on. I had a great conversation with the landlady and her son; both of whom were easy to talk to, and knew a lot about the local area. They don’t serve food - crisps and nuts is about it. Again, this just adds to the authentic, old pub feel. If you’re in the area, this is a must see place. You won’t be disappointed.

Love this corner pub in Belgravia

Seems like a nice spot but it booked out for a private party without publishing it on social media, so made a trip for nothing. Hence…1 star for poor communication to the public🙏

Nice little place. Orchard Thieves on draught which is always enjoyable. £9.40 for a pint and a packet of crisps.

A real find. It's only a minute from the main road, but as there is no footfall the pub is an oasis of calm. A real local pub, great beers and friendly service.

It's crowded but it has a very friendly and convivial atmosphere.

Popped in at three pubs in the area. This one was the only one in which I could hear myself think. The others were overcrowded and with an exceptional high noise level. Felt very welcome, and the atmosphere was good. Enjoyed my visit. Will be back. If I was a resident in this area, this would definitely be my pub.

Horrible experience. Such a shame because as the reviews say this is exactly how a pub should be - tucked away, no music, traditional decor and comfortable leather seats. But the locals were vile, incredibly offensive loud conversations that no one should have to listen to. I was alone, hoping to have a quiet glass of wine after a long day. The woman serving behind the bar did her best but I got the impression this was nothing new to her. A disgrace. I left holding back tears. That the landlord allows this kind of behaviour beggars belief.

A well presented pub, ideal for a drink or two. Landlord and bar staff excellent. Well worth a visit.

A secret amongst locals. A stones throw from Sloane Square station. Perfect spot for after work drink. Only con is that the beer selection is limited. They have Taytos though!

The greatest pub in the WORLD. No music, no kids allowed, no TV. Just atmosphere and conversation. Tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood it's like you are in a dream when relaxing here. Very friendly staff, beautiful decorations, wonderful ambiance. Very quiet during the day. If I lived near this pub I would go everyday. You will not find another pub this great in your life, especially in London. Please go and support this pub and the friendly bartender who explains the history of this amazing place.

A small, crowded, but thoroughly authentic little pub in the neighborhood. Great bar service, interesting clientele and conversation, and a nice respite from the rain outside! We did not try any of the food, but the beer and cocktails were just right.

Really loved this place, and not just because of the name of the street it's on! Great staff, great place. I will be back!

I see that many people rate this place, as I used to. After a visit here this evening I was not at all impressed. Surly antisocial bar staff, happy to sell drinks as they intend closing only to evict us before the drinks were begun. Grabbing money is a most unattractive attribute, and I shall be reluctant to return.

Stopped by for a quiet afternoon pint after visiting the National Army museum - lovely little pub and a very easy place to spend an hour or so relaxing and planning rest of the day

It was quite loud and small, but has a cozy vibe to it. Drinks were expensive but big. Overall quite okay.

I really loved this place, really beautiful little pub located a few streets away from Sloane Square station.Nice little building with a traditional English pub feel to it with equally traditional interior. This is one of those places where if you think of traditional pub you think of. Small but cosy, warm and inviting. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good selection of beers that are well kept. I went during the day and there were quite a few people inside.

Great traditional pub, lovely atmisphere, 3 cask ales on. Tempted to go for 5/5, but I won't as I save that for pubs with beer from independent (not mainstream) brewers.
