Quite literally the worst experience. We have been going here for years and are regulars of the original La Petite Maison in Nice. On this occasion we asked very politely to share a glass of wine between two people as it was lunch and we don’t drink to much, we do this at many other establishments and they are more than obliging and very polite about this. We were greeted with so much attitude from the servers and rudeness. They were beyond condescending and we felt racially stereotyped. We even spoke to another member of staff and requested then two half glasses and were willing to pay for 2 full glasses and were met with continued rudeness. The standard of this restaurant has stooped to a new low and the entitlement of the staff is shocking. I would avoid this place at all costs as there are many other wonderful establishments in london.

I recently dined at LPM Restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Upon entering with a friend for dinner, I was warmly greeted by the hosts, who were polite and friendly. This initial welcome set a positive tone; however, the service quickly took a downturn. The waiter abruptly offered us bread that we hadn’t ordered, which felt unnecessary and confusing. One of the most perplexing moments was when a member of staff removed the tomatoes from our table without explaining that we could eat them. Given my previous experience at LPM’s Hong Kong branch — where the staff clearly explained that the tomatoes were part of the dining experience — this was disappointing for my friend, who was dining here for the first time. I asked for a cocktail recommendation, and while the drink was good, the waiter seemed disinterested in properly explaining the options available. As for the food, it tasted alright but I cannot say it was particularly good. The timing of the service added to my frustration; before we had even finished our starters, someone rushed in to clear our plates and placed corn with our main course, making us feel hurried. No one offered us the dessert menu until I specifically asked for it, which further highlighted the inattentiveness of the staff, who seemed more focused on turning tables than providing a quality experience. Overall, I did not enjoy my time at LPM. Apart from the polite and friendly hosts, I found the waitstaff to be quite impatient, and it seemed that the manager only engaged with certain guests deemed "important." This kind of service is not what I expected, especially from a restaurant with such a fine reputation. I was initially hesitant to write a review, but having experienced discomfort after the meal, I felt compelled to share my thoughts. Regrettably, I cannot recommend LPM London based on this experience.

Main restaurant was busy with all tables taken at lunch, so VERY noisy or ‘buzzing’ depending on your perspective. Fortunately we were in the rear room where the bar is located which was almost tranquil by comparison. Our waiter was very helpful and could describe the make-up of each dish in detail. The mains are designed to be shared - the duck confit a l’orange was exceptional and with two legs provided, was certainly sufficient for two with a side order of chips. We also shared a sea bass that had been cooked on a salt crust with a tomato concasse(?). Exquisite piece of fish cookery and wild rather than farmed. Check because the sea bream is farmed. Fussy maybe, but I’d rather not pay top dollar for a Greek farmed Dorade that’s been fed on pellets ! We shared a main of grilled large prawns dressed with coriander, chilli and tamarind to start. Whilst delicious, they were pricy for two prawns. I finished with a warm chocolate mousse with a malt ice cream. Plenty big enough to share. Overall I’d strongly recommend but beware if you’re seated next to a braying hedge fund manager in the main restaurant

The first few tables are located right by the entrance, so if you’re seated there—as we were—the constant flow of people can feel a bit overwhelming while you’re trying to enjoy your meal. Although the staff kindly offered us an alternative table, we chose the one in the main room to fully experience the venue’s vibe. In hindsight, however, it might be best to remove the table by the entrance, as it seems to be the most affected by the coat check area. At one point, a woman putting on her jacket nearly swung it into our food; she apologized, but the incident underscored how cramped the area can feel. One thoughtful touch is the little hooks provided for your bags at your table, which is both charming and practical. I also appreciated the creative starter presented on the table—it really set the tone for the meal. The lighting is bright, with strong spotlights (although we visited at lunch, so perhaps they dim them in the evening). Additionally, the big glass jars filled with vegetables add a cool touch to the atmosphere. The food was excellent. We loved the sharing-style dishes and generous portions, and everything was reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. The standout dish for us was the potato dauphinoise—absolutely delicious—and the service was great too. While I’d only return for lunch if I could sit outside in the summer, I’d definitely come back in the evening!

Great food, we were a big group so got a lot of plates to share. The snails and burrata and lentil salad were all fresh and tasty. And the sea bass, confit duck lived up to the expectations. Service was also good. The restaurant was quite loud and tables were close to each other though, as a big group we had to speak quite loudly to be able to hear each other.

LPM is definitely a hotspot and offers a great atmosphere, but I couldn’t help comparing it to the one in Limassol, and sadly, the quality just doesn’t match up. I had the pasta and baby chicken with gratin potatoes, which were lovely, but they didn’t quite have the same level of finesse I’ve come to expect from LPM. While I enjoyed the experience overall, I feel there’s room for slight improvement in both the flavors and the execution of the dishes. That said, it’s still worth trying for the ambiance and vibrant vibe! Solid 4 stars.

I heard that reservations are needed for this restaurant. We accidentally found this spot while on an afternoon stroll in the area, and were lucky enough to grab a table outside. Outdoor seating is the best for people watching! The service was a bit slow but the dishes were spectacular. And the cocktails were lovely, crafted for the Olympics occasion. We ordered Grilled Tiger Prawns Marinated with Green Chilli and Coriander and Homemade Gnocchi with Cherry Tomatoes. Delicious! I took a peak in the restaurant and loved the atmosphere. Lovely place to visit. (Disclaimer: late post from our August visit to London)

The dishes are quite good, with fresh produce and simple but pleasant and well-made flavors. On the other hand, the prices are clearly related to the direct proximity to Bond Street and therefore the value for money is not exceptional. The room is a little too crowded and it is difficult to maneuver between tables. The service is, however, very good.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at LPM Restaurant. I arrived with high expectations, but unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. We waited an unreasonably long time to be seated, with no updates or communication from the staff. Despite asking multiple times, there was no sense of urgency or care from anyone, including the manager. It felt like they completely ignored our concerns. For a place with such a reputation, the lack of attention to customers is unacceptable. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

It's with a heavy heart that I pen this review of LPM London, a restaurant that has, for years, held the distinction of being my favorite French establishment in the capital. As someone who has witnessed the restaurant's journey from its inception - having dined at the opening nights of LPM locations in London (when it was still La Petit Maison), Nice, Dubai, and the now-closed Manhattan outpost - I feel uniquely positioned to chronicle its evolution. Our recent December visit, traditionally a highlight of London's magical winter season, served as a stark reminder of how much has changed. While the kitchen continues to produce exceptional dishes that showcase the pristine simplicity of Niçoise cuisine, the soul of the establishment has undergone a profound transformation. The most striking change lies in the atmosphere. Where once there was an intimate charm that made every meal feel like a private celebration, now there's a palpable shift toward something more commercial and less distinguished. The service, once characterized by its warmth and sophistication, has lost its personal touch. The dining room, which used to buzz with a refined energy, now feels like it's chasing a different kind of acclaim - one that prioritizes scene over substance. This metamorphosis is particularly noticeable in the clientele and overall ambiance. The restaurant seems to have traded its understated elegance for a more ostentatious approach that feels at odds with its culinary heritage. It's as if the restaurant is trying to be something it never needed to be, forsaking the very qualities that made it exceptional in the first place. The food, it must be said, remains outstanding. The kitchen continues to deliver dishes that showcase the best of Mediterranean ingredients and French technique. For this reason alone, LPM still merits a visit, particularly for lunch when the atmosphere is more reminiscent of its former self. However, the magic that once made LPM feel like London's best-kept secret has dimmed. What was once a sanctuary of sophisticated dining has become something more ordinary - still excellent in its culinary execution, but lacking the special quality that previously set it apart. The transformation feels emblematic of a broader trend in high-end dining, where authenticity and intimacy are sometimes sacrificed in pursuit of broader appeal. For those who never experienced LPM in its golden era, the restaurant will still impress with its superb cuisine and prime location. But for long-time patrons who remember the subtle charm and refined atmosphere that once defined the experience, dining here now carries a note of nostalgia for what has been lost. It's a reminder that sometimes success can change the very essence of what made a place successful in the first place. While LPM remains a competent restaurant, it has relinquished its position as a truly special destination - a transformation that feels particularly poignant during the magical December evenings when London's restaurants should be at their most enchanting. Verdict: Still recommended for the consistently excellent food, but arrive prepared for a different experience than the one that earned LPM its sterling reputation. The cuisine deserves 4.5/5 stars, but the overall experience has slipped to 3.5/5, marking the end of an era for what was once London's most charming French restaurant.

I’ve been to every LPM around the world and the one in London is definitely the worst. I’m convinced the waiters live in an alternative universe where they believe they are shareholders of the restaurant. The steak is somehow always well done in this location and the flavors in the food nonexistent. They try to hide the lack of taste by bringing an off tune singing band resulting in you leaving the restaurant deaf, and wishing you went to Gaia instead. I hope they can learn from the other locations, good cheesecake can’t make you survive.

Excellent food and drinks, although it was a bit busier and louder than ideal. Food & drinks We started the meal with two tomatinis which we adored; they were so delicious. The seasonal dish - venison tartare - was amazing. Yellowtail carpaccio was also great. We ordered the tiger prawns and cod for our mains. Both were also perfectly cooked and packed with big flavours. Finished the meal with the signature crème brûlée 🍮 we didn’t regret ordering one dessert to share as it was a very generous portion. Service / Atmosphere Tables were placed quite close together and it was a busy night, so it felt like everyone at the next table could hear everything we said. We arrived for our 8pm reservation at 7:55pm, but the maître d' said our table was not ready yet but it would be if we came back at 8pm. We did not want to wait at the bar because we just came from a bar at a hotel nearby, so we waited outside the restaurant until 5 minutes past 8, and tried again, but our table was still not ready. In the end, we waited outside the restaurant until 20 past 8 to be seated.

very bad place, at least for the attitude of the service because they have no professionalism when I came for a trial shift because they wrote to me to come on Sunday, as soon as I came I was met by one of the employees and she said that there was a mistake and they allegedly do not conduct trial shifts on Sunday and whether I can come on Tuesday (I agreed, but asked only that they give me an answer immediately after the trial shift whether they will take me or not because I do not want to wait another week for an answer where they will simply write that unfortunately they will not take me to work because they found someone else, to which this woman told me that she promises that they will tell me everything right away) as soon as I came on Tuesday and it turned out that I just wasted my time and worked all 2 hours in vain because after that the manager called me for a conversation and said that in a week they will send me a message. You just can't imagine how angry I was because this semblance of a manager is not responsible for what his staff says and promises his position and he doesn't care that it's their mistake that they told me to come on Sunday (although I just lost almost £20 on travel there and back just 1 trial shift 2 times because I was hoping for the competence and professionalism of these illiterate people) as a result I just left and realized that this is simply the most terrible place I have ever been to and as a guest I would definitely not come here (reviews of this place only justify my words that the whole place here is simply disgusting starting with the a managers, which is nothing more than a name. From the reviews it is immediately clear that the food in this restaurant is even higher level than the employees themselves. DO NOT COME HERE EVEN TO WORK I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU

However, the appetisers were good but surprisingly the Rib-eye which we ordered 2 orders came looking very good, just nice medium and medium rare, BUT ! the meat tasting was not even like a beef ! Its tasting Hard, no juicy, no fats, purely hard meat tasting like a pork. This was very unexpected and disappointed. If you see the photos you would think it is looking super good, but no. Quite confusing right… must be real bad meat and not rib eye. We didn’t even able to finish the beef. The lamb was also not so good even at this luxury level restaurant. The atmosphere here is very lively, making it a popular choice compared to neighboring restaurants. Although we had to wait a bit for seating, it was worth it. The offerings were generous, and the staff catered to us attentively, made recommendations for our diets, ensured we were comfortable and enjoying our time there. To start, we enjoyed a tomato salad, where you're given a few tomatoes and a lemon to slice at the table, along with olive oil, seasonings, a selection of bread, and butter. The salads and vegan dishes were wonderfully varied and well-seasoned, while the meat and pasta dishes were full of flavor. The desserts were incredible, and the meals paired beautifully with the mocktails, which were generous and not overloaded with ice, unlike some other places. One detail that stood out was the attentive table service—they not only cleared dishes but also kept the table tidy throughout the meal, which is something not many establishments do. Our only wish is that they offered brunch in London, like at their other international locations.

We visited LPM today for a special lunch with my husband’s family. The atmosphere and the food were terrific, but unfortunately, our experience wasn’t great because our waiter always made us feel rushed as if we had to leave. We wanted to order more courses, but unfortunately, we didn’t feel we had enough time to decide what to eat, so we ended up ordering less just because he insisted that we had to order. Maybe it was out of good intention, but we felt uncomfortable. Our reservation was under the name Saif Khalid, and I’m happy to give the waiter's name if contacted privately, as I have seen that he was behaving the same way with all the customers.

Of all my experiences at LPM, the last dinner really impressed me. The ambiance was sophisticated yet warm, the service faultless, and the food incredible. My star dish of the meal would have to be the rib-eye steak: perfectly cooked, very tender, and bursting with flavors. Each dish was beautifully done and tasted good, evidence of the high-end quality of French-Mediterranean food that LPM exudes. I would strongly recommend LPM for a great dining experience.

WOW - what a celebration. We went back to LPM after few years to celebrate our anniversary, everything was perfect from the entrance to the exit. Food is still the same and unbelievably good, sommelier team recommended some great wines to pair our food. We have been delighted by the finest and best prepared dishes such as warm artichoke with a special vinaigrette, marinated red peppers, yellowtail carpaccio and guacamole, fried squid, tapenade, lamb cutlets and veal chop paired with broccoli and chips. To complete we finished with a delicious creme brulee and warm chocolate mousse. Incredible lunch, thanks everyone for the amazing experience

The food was all excellent. We had the seasonal truffle burrata, duck confit, ribeye, corn salad, escargot, 3 cocktails and a bottle of wine. All perfectly seasoned and well prepared. We were very disappointed and disrespected by the bread server of all people who insisted on interrupted us while we were in the middle of saying grace. She had no common sense or courtesy. Our waitress was overworked but good.

The experience started out to be amazingly. The crab tart exceeded my expecting. The flavor is light and refreshing, tart crust is thin and crispy, and the tomato cuts through the heaviness of the mayonnaise. The entire dish is an incredible piece of art. Then the scallop carpaccio - love the seasonings, the crispness of the almond, the saltiness of the capers and the sweetness of raisin and cranberry, all goes well so good together. However they need to tone it down! It is too much and the scallop is so delicate and is overwhelmed! The salad is a complete disaster. Never had such bad vinaigrette dressing before. It is pretty much a candied mixed greens. It is unforgivable for this restaurant grade. I am very disappointed by their staff. I was told that “all pasta is homemade”, but no, in fact the linguine is not homemade! They need to know their menu in and out - they don’t even know that there is celery in the crab tart! I am disappointed they did not even bother to confirm an ingredient or feeling sorry for giving false information. Ambiance is beautiful.

Very rude management. The snails are cooking with wine and my best friend is Muslim. We were not informed about it. We luckily overheard the waiter explaining the recipe to other guests. Also, while I was eating I spotted a mouse running on the floor. Very disappointed, plus we paid so much for this dinner. It is not the fine dinning, it is more like fast food.

Amazing food and service. I managed a seat on weekend without reservations but the restaurant was packed. The pasta was amazing. But really my favorite dish was the apple pie! So light, yet so rich and satisfying!

Like most restaurants in London, it’s an overstated and over expensive restaurant for what it is I’m afraid. We had a dinner reservation at 6 PM, we were at the restaurant at 5.45 PM while the staff were making preparations for the evening. Asked if we could sit outside for 15 mins while they were preparing inside dining space but we were told to come back at 6. The staff isn’t knowledgable and don’t put an effort to be kind or helpful. Seems like they’re not trained properly. Food was decent but very expensive for what it is. To sum up, won’t be going there again.

Myself and my wife visited on Monday. The Mayfair never fail to deliver. We always feel most welcomed and well looked after by the team. Dennis is extremely hospitable, Roland was most welcoming when checking us in and Jarka at Breakfast delivered superior service. Well done all and see you soon!

I booked a celebration for my friend yesterday, and it was nothing short of extraordinary! Maria was an absolute star—her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the entire experience was unforgettable. The stuff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and it truly showed! The cake was incredibly delicious, the service was impeccable, and the venue was simply breathtaking. Thank you for making our special day even more magical!
