Under new ownership and the change is unbelievable....you must try it.....Best publick house in the area.....food is unbelievable and once new ovens arrive Sunday roasts will be on the menu....you must try it....and they are dog friendly....

Called in after a walk in Richmond Park. Seemed like a good pub. The barman (or probably the governor) clearly knew his regulars but was equally welcoming to strangers. Beer choice was a little limited, but definitely a pub I would go back to.

Shhhhh maybe the best Sunday roast in Richmond, portions and quality way above the rest! Under new ownership form 3 months ago, be quick as you will have to book otherwise, we the locals want you to support our local now worth telling you about

You won't find a warmer reception, as you do at the Fox and Duck. First appearances are so important to me. I always feel welcome there; with regular staff and a lovely manager, who acknowledges you with a smile; making time to welcome you back! The food is home made and delicious (you have to try their Sunday dinner!) It reminds me of how pubs used to be..(minus the cigarette smoke!)

If you're in the area, definitely a place that you shouldn't miss. The Sunday roast and the Margherita pizza is a must have!

We recently rented out the Fox and Duck for our Halloween themed baby shower & we had the most wonderful evening! The staff are the utmost in helpful & every thing we needed was catered for. The event was perfect, and went ahead with no issues. We bought our own decorations and also rented a karaoke machine. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was fantastic and the food was very tasty and came out all perfectly timed and there was nothing left, so was very well enjoyed by our guests (we had pizzas which are highly recommended.) The communication with Rob, the manager was top form and we felt very well looked after. This pub means a lot to us, as we had our first date here & so this was very much a full circle moment for us. Highly recommended for your event or party, but also perfect for a Sunday dinner or an evening pint. Thank you all so much! C & G x

Recently been taken over by Tom & his team and what a transformation. Warm, welcoming and a wonderful addition to Richmond. Big car park and great proximity to the park - it couldn’t be better. We were only meant to stop for one - but the delicious baked Camembert and the glow of the afternoon sun meant we stayed for longer! Looking forward to our next visit already

Such a lovely pub in a beautiful location. Food was excellent (baked Camembert far better than the average you get for pub grub) and the cask ale kept brilliantly.

The Fox and Hound hosted our works offsite lunch today for a group of 40. The food and service were excellent and the team did a great job managing such a high volume of food very efficiently. Thank you!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Fox and Duck pub, and I was blown away by the exceptional quality and presentation of the food! The dishes I tried were on par with those served at high-end restaurants, and I was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I'm now eagerly looking forward to trying their Sunday roast, which I've heard is a real treat. If you're a foodie like me, do yourself a favour and give the Fox and Duck a try – you won't be disappointed!

Since the renovation a month ago this pub has had a giant glow up! The staff is the friendliest, the food is delicious and the portions are enourmous. The best Sunday roast in the area.

Place was lovely, Staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous. The pizzas were truly outstanding, and I struggled to find adequate words to express my admiration for the culinary masterpiece - it was simply exquisite, and the presentation was equally impressive. The food was, in a word - phenomenal!

Everything was incredible! I was in Richmond for a week for work and the Labneh was the best thing I tasted all week. The Pimms lemonade was delicious (and I normally don't like gin). Even the truffle fries were a step above. Highly recommend!

Me and my partner celebrated our 8 year anniversary today and wow the food was just amazing - the sharing platter was beautiful - the salt and pepper squid amazing - the buratta was amazing - the rosemary fries with Parmesan and truffle oil was the best fries ever be ever eaten and the drinks were absolutely amazing- a 10/10 experience. Also the hosts went beyond and above for us today and are so nice and welcoming / thank you fox and duck we will most definitely be back again. ♥️

It was a little quiet when we went after a day in Richmond park hence only 4 stars for atmosphere, the guy behind the bar was amazing and made us very welcome, apparently he is part of new people just taken over so this will be a place to watch, the menu was small but tasty and very reasonably priced especially for the area.

We came here for a nightcap and a bite to eat. Unfortunately the food was all. Coca Cola was also empty, as was Red Bull. At least the beer wasn't gone.

Nothing amazing, ale pie was watery and burger was sub par. For a richmound pub, I'm disappointed.

Very dog friendly, lovely staff, enjoyed the food. We had six dogs with us and were welcomed with open arms. Nice atmosphere.

Booked for 8 for lunch after a walk through the Park. Lovely sunny day so a lot of people outdoors in the front. We sat inside and It didn't feel busy. Just a nice vibe. It was fantastic!!! Great Twickenham Ales, and the food was delicious. I had the blue cheese burger. Great quality burger. A couple of people had pizza, which was also delicious. All made even better by the service and smiles from the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for looking after us, can't wait to return. 👍

Such a wonderful pub in Richmond, we discovered it on our walk. Popped in to see if 7 of could grab lunch and they were great. We got fab table by the window. The food was amazing, generous portions and so tasty. Staff are super nice and friendly. Everyone loved our Little 4 legged companion. This is now firmly on our radar next time we’re in the neighbourhood.

Lovely find. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Nice selection of beers and everyone enjoyed their meals. The steak pie was very good, lots of meat, rich gravy and good pastry. Both the chicken and beef burgers were also ace.

We had walked from Ham house and came out at the Fox and Duck pub which is handy for the bus stop as it poured with rain. Drinks nice. And liked them having crayons and paper for children. They enjoyed their bowls of chips too. :)

This pub has come leaps and bounds since new management have taken over. A really wonderful experience every time. The food is consistent and good as well as funny, kind and unpretentious service. We had the burger, pie and a few drinks including wine; beer and other bits (some of our group not drinking alcohol) The bill came to less than £100 for 5 adults which was surely unexpected. We spent almost 4hrs here and were taken care of so well by all the lovely ladies working. They’re a real asset and so knowledgeable of the area, wine and Glastonbury tee-pees!! This is a must visit if you’re in the area. A home from home. We’ll be back, of course!

Despite the pub wasn't busy and it's in a beautiful area, the food was merely adequate and the welcoming and service we received on our visit, was far behond pair. £18.00 pounds for a Chicken Caesar salad of petit portion, wasn't great ether. But worst of all, was the service we'd received on our visit. t The rbar attendant was extremely rude and unwelcoming, and made us feel very uncomfortable and felt that it was a place were customers are not welcomed, and we almost decide to leave, but we were too tired by then, to look for another pub in the area! Shame because the pub is in a lovely location. Nevertheless we won't be back there soon or perhaps ever again!

The food is not too bad, but the service is rather dreadful. A tattooed lady hosted us in such a sombre mood as if we were doing her a favour. Perhaps that's why it was so empty—not coming back.

Best pie ever and we've tried a few. The pizza, also top quality. Smoothe white wine from South Africa. Friendly service

Its a great restaurant, with the nice service, providing the really traditional English style of food, includes steak &the pei, burgers with juicy meat, and wonderful tasty cheese salad. Not having the chance to order the pizza. Will do it next visit.

The burger was tasty and my weak lime and soda refreshing after my walk around Ham lands this was a really handy stop as they serve food all day.

A wonderful independent pub run by a lovely husband and wife. The pub passed my burger test!! The burger was made with minced beef served with blue cheese and gherkins. The side salad had a delicious dressing and the chips were fabulous too. The landlady was friendly, engaging and very hospitable. Can't wait to try more things from the menu!

Their burger had melted cheese, a thick meat patty, a little bacon, lots of pickles, lots of tomatoes and just a single layer of lettuce on a brioche bun - a perfect proportion of ingredients.

Did a the capital ring walk and ended uo at this pub! It was not very busy. The staff were lovely. We had the chicken salad, the Guinness and steak pie and the fox and duck burger. The Guinness and Steak pie was superb!!! Really recommend. The steak was so tender and gravy was scrumptious! Totally recommend.

Great pub in Richmond tospend time with friends

Popped here for lunch. The staff weren't overly attentive but the pub was quite nice with some good beers on tap (including Twickenham Fine Ales). The food was really good, apart from the mash which was quite gloopy and had obviously been reheated - it did take quite a while to come too. I'd pop along again but it wasn't a standout experience.

It is such a shame, due to this pubs location, the turn over of staff and the quality of food is missing. I use to go to this pub 2-3 times a week to work in, I have stopped going due to quality of food being awful, Chicken Caesar salad was drowning in dressing and for the price you pay £15 you get a breakfast bowl.. The Beef burger, very greasy, the type of meal you feel disgusting afterwards. The sausage & mash which I had today (first visit in a while) the gravy was drowning the food, with 3 x sausages of which I shared with my daughter, and now we both have a stomach ache.... will not be returning there again for a while.

Superb pub serving a wide selection of great beers and gins. Super friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere. A hidden gem between Ham and Richmond.

Would like to share my great experience of booking a space for a large group of about 30 people. From the first inquiry communication from Laura was brilliant and extremely prompt very easy to talk to about any specific needs or questions I had. They were very accommodating to our party, setting aside a large space of the pub and well laid out for our arrival. Service was great while we were there no complaints about that from us. The only thing that could be improved would be if the portion sizes were larger for the price of some of the menu items. Other than that the atmosphere was great would recommend.

The food was very tasty but the loos need a good clean

I know I was in Richmond but didn't expect the low quality 'Richmond sausages' and a dollop of mash at £15, which took forever to serve. And was the service charge printed on the menu? If it was, other diner's were asking the same question.

A great place to have a pint, a good meal and enjoy the warmth of the fireplace.

New, it's a very good place to go for food and drinks nice people running it now and everyone is very welcome and dog friendly, is very nice and clean in the bars and toilet.

The Fox and Duck is an amazing place. It's a warm family pub where the atmosphere is truly something. As soon as you walk in you can feel how warm and cozy it is with a live fire to keep you warm, pub quizzes every Tuesday with big prizes on offer as well as fantastic food that are of restaurant quality. The staff are all lovely and very friendly and can always provide you with impeccable service. I always get the sausage and mash as its incredible taste wise and worth the money. Overall, if you want to have a warm cozy experience with your family or friends then I 100% recommend giving this place a visit.
