The Fox and Hounds in Hambleton

We were a family group of 6 and the meal was a fathers day gift. We arrived and were shown to our table and given menus. As it was Sunday we all chose from a selection of the Roast meats on offer, although the menu included a good selection of other meals too. We can honestly say it was the best meal out we have had out in ages. The food was cooked to perfection and the owners and waiting staff were friendly and attentive. We could not have asked for more. Thank you all so much and we will highly recommend to others and visit you again.

The three of us called on the 21st October. The food was home-cooked and delicious. No overcooked veg just properly-cooked ingredients with masses of taste. The waitress was brilliant and could not do enough for us. My husband is still enjoying being called "sir"! Would definitely recommend this place if you are visiting the Thorp Perrow Arboretum at Bedale.

Nos encontramos con este pub un martes por la noche. Teníamos dos porciones de pescado y patatas fritas y uno con cuatro pintas, curry y un aperitivo, llegó a 53 libras. 65. La comida era deliciosa, pero parecía bastante caro para sólo una comida cada uno. El personal era muy amable. Nos sentamos en un fuego de leña, muy acogedor.

The restaurant was very nice and table set out well. Service was good.Staff were Pleasant and jolly.They have about 10 Mitchin badges for food over the years.One thing I liked they served water without you having to ask .Whilst the over all experience was great I was disappointed with one thing.I ordered Lamb shank{ I love lamb} but it tasted as tho it was not freshly cook and had no taste.Other than that they had a good wide menu.If you want to go the best thing would be ring and book a table. Would we go again YES apart from that little hiccup it was one of the best meals we have out in some time
