Has the same name as the last pub on Oxford St but no risk of confusion with this traditional pub well within the active area of the old Roman city. A good corner site. A huge range of craft ales and some familiar stuff shipped up here from Sharps in North Cornwall.

Beer overpriced even in this area! Staff not friendly, toilet smell throughout! Seafood burger of the month does not actually include ANY seafood! Only an un-named, dubious fish fillet!! Which is not actually seafood!

Second year in a row The Flying Horse looked after us so well for our work Xmas Dinner and party. Hats off to the staff who dressed the room nicely and served us with a smile. The food was delicious and substantial and the drinks kept flowing. Thx again and merry Xmas.

By chance Liverpool St. Christopher's was my first hostel in the UK and it did not disappoint. Beds and rooms were clean and very comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating to needs. After experiencing other hostels in the UK, St. Christopher's was above all. I was so impressed, I came back a second time on same trip. When its good, its good. Cheers!

We’re staying at the Flying horse with 7 guys and we enjoyed it. The bar was nice with good food and drinks and most of all friendly staf. The rooms were clean, the showers were nice and the location is very nice. On feet you need 5’ minutes of walling to dancebars, trainstation, … Conclusion, we liked our stay!

I visited The Horse over the weekend for the Euros, had a table reserved for the England game and was not disappointed! Staff were so organised and I was seated straight away in-front of the big screen! We ordered two pizzas and a burger. The pizza is stone baked and absolutely delicious, the cheese pull was incredible! They offer 2 for 1 during the week so I’ll definitely be back for that! Proper traditional feel to the pub, and super friendly staff! There’s a hostel above which is sadly closed at the moment but once it reopens i’ll be giving it a visit!Highly recommend!

Loved our little spontaneous visit to London over the weekend and had a lovely lady called Ellie serve us burgers and yummy cocktails! Will be back soon!

We were given a table upstairs with 3 screens to watch. so, viewing available at all angles. Tables were fine and atmosphere downstairs ans well as upstairs really good. Food was good and choice of drinks too. Slightly pricey even for central London. Toilet facilities minimal but adequate. Good friendly and helpful staff.

Always enjoy visiting The Flying Horse. Good atmosphere, reasonably priced beer, all topped up with sports coverage. Excellent !

Ordered 2 pepperoni pizzas (told 50-55 min wait), and they arrived 1 hour and a half later (not that big of a deal). One was plonked on our table looking like the attached image, and we had to tell the waiter (who turned out to be the manager) that we order pepperoni instead of margarita, but the manager said that they had run out of pepperoni. We were confused as no one had said to us when we ordered, or in the hour and a half that they had run out of pepperoni so we were frustrated and disappointed. The manager really did not seem to care (we understand that it was busy) but we found that extremely rude and when we asked for a free drink to compensate he went away for 5 mins and came back simply saying “half pint of fosters” as if we had ordered that. Our second pizza (originally pepperoni but again margarita came) arrived 10 minutes later and was cold. We spoke with the manager again and he took what we were saying as a personal attack (which it was not!). We just wanted some form of compensation as we had ordered pepperoni and were not informed that they had run out - there was no offer of discount at all or refund. My friend asked for 2 free drinks to make amends but that was too much for the manager who refused. We walked away in disgust. Very unhappy with this service, we were very understanding with the long wait and would have been with the pizza if the manager had been apologetic and pleasant to us.

Always see people outside this pub but doesn't look much. However went in here for a drink and was pleasantly surprised. Very clean, friendly staff and spacious inside. TV was on for those interested in sports but a generally nice place for a weekend drink

Just an average visit this time, probably because it was pretty quiet that night. In the US it would be considered a dive bar but it’s certainly a good place to grab a drink after work.

El ambiente es increíble, amable, positivo personal siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Los precios son promedio para Londres, pero elegir trajes. Ein typischer britischer Pub, welcher leicht heruntergekommen ist. Davor stehen Gäste und trinken Bier & rauchen dabei. Drinnen ist es laut und es läuft Sport. An der Bar gibt es eine große Auswahl an Getränken. Das Personal ist weder besonders nett noch mürrisch, es macht seine Arbeit.

Visitamos el pub por primera vez para jugar un juego de dardos. A mitad de camino a través de la tarde pedí la mejor botella de vino que tenían y una botella de Malbec fue presentada que sólo venden en botella (tornillo). No molestes cata el vino porque no me ofrecieron. Tomó la botella de arriba a compartir con colegas. Cuando tomamos un sorbo de nuestras copas de vertido, fue muy cálido y bastante horrible, si estoy siendo brutalmente honesta. Me tomó de los restos de la botella abajo al bar para informarle de nuestra indignación y devolver todo lo que tenía a la izquierda (sin duda estaban ahora a vender esta botella particular por el cristal). Compré una ronda de cervezas. Uno de los empleados del bar me siguió arriba a decir que me ofreciera una ronda de bebidas en la casa si nos gustaría venir abajo después. . Cuando fui abajo. La oferta de la ronda de bebidas había sido eliminado porque uno de mis compañeros decidió llevar a beber su copa. Admito que me trago una pinta de barro agua charco pero, sin embargo, sentí que la decisión de eliminar la oferta no mostró ningún tipo de clase. No regresaré. Popped in here whilst staying in London overnight. It's a typical London pub. Pleasant but not outstanding. The beet was fine and there was a good range on display.

I was looking for pubs worth going to whilst in the area and usually a quick read through Tripadvisor and my decision is made. Came here on a saturday night and it seemed to have a strange atmosphere. The boxing was on and there was a few Americans behind us but apart from that the rest of the pub seemed to be made up off several groups (4-5) of young German men (I can only go on recognising some words in German) which seemed strange for a proper English pub.My girlfriend had vodka and soda which she had to return because it was flat. Strange.

Upon walking near on a Wednesday night we noticed it was a very popular place to be.Entering inside it could not have been more English Pub. This being our first night in London we were anxious to enjoy a beverage and do a little people watching. This is when we met Paul, whom said this was his favorite pub in London and we should stay and drink here. So, we did!Although we missed out on food service, we enjoyed some different beers, cider, and wine.Busy, clearly popular, and friendly place to be. If this is your scene, just see if Paul is there. He is a patron, not working there. Well, not on the payroll.

Un bar pequeño pero acogedor. Muy tipico inglés y con 4 pantallas en donde podrás disfrutar de varios partidos diferentes a la vez tanto de rugby como de futbol. El aseo de caballeros muy reducido. Recomiendo ir con antelación si quieren ver alguna competicion deportiva sentados ya que se llena muy pronto de gente.

Love an old man Ale pub that has not moved on with the times. This place may appear a little grotty but it isn't. Thankfully it is a listed building and the pub seems to have been kept in a state reminiscent of the 60s and 70s. Lots of Ales on. A beer club was on for the regulars. Great bunch of girls behind the bar seemed to appreciate not moving with the times either. Lots of wood decor and Pizza was the only snack. But the vibe and the feeling of going back in time was excellent. A must for Ale fans and tourists wanting the real old London pub with no frills! Check out the carpet.

Stopped in for a quick pint Friday lunchtime. We were served very quickly and found a table to sit at. Ordered a pepperoni pizza which was absolutely delicious. By the time the second pint was needed the bar was 3 deep and absolutely heaving. Took me leas than 3 minutes to get served. They had 4 ladies behind the bar that kept thingsflowing smoothly - well done on this or else the bar would have been a disaster.I'd go back if we were in the area.

When I started in the City over 30 years ago this pub was used by the City messengers. The days of messengers flying around the City have long gone but the pub has hardly changed from all those years ago. Carpeted floors, an old Christmas decoration hanging from the ceiling, and an atmosphere like going back to 1980 through a time warp!They've cleverly hired approx 6 ladies behind the bar to ensure the swift and timely service this pub now needs. On Friday evening it was 3 deep at the bar but we didn't wait long to get served. I can only assume that the pub is so busy due to the fact that people like nostalgia and this pub doesn't disappoint. There are so many flash wine bars and expensive pubs out there now that a place like this is becoming increasingly hard to find. Make the most of it whilst you can before another developer comes down with a large budget and knocks the place down! Recommeded..

don't go there if you are searching for a classy place. typical pub with more spirit that the nearby all bar one or other places in broadgate. perfect place to have some pints after work with some collegues. apparently the selection is pretty good and the price is acceptable. upstair you can also play darts if you fancy

If you're looking for refinement I wouldn't recommend the Flying Horse, but if you want a pub with atmosphere, a great range of beers and good service then this is your place. Despite it being just up the road from our new office, it took several months for us to visit here. We'll be back soon. Don't be put off by the fact that it's very busy as we nearly were as the staff somehow seem to get the orders turned round quickly so you're never waiting long.

One of the few places with Czech beet kozel on tap. Not much else to day about the place more than it goes super busy on Friday's !

I'm not one for reviews, but how I was spoken to at this bar was appalling and I want to make a point of not recommending it to anyone. It was my first night out in London, visiting from Australia at 10.30pm on a Friday night I was told to get out the bar is closed by the manager on duty. I get that he may have had a long night and wanted to finish up but what upset me most was the way he spoke to his staff members, I feel sorry for anyone who has to work there what a horrible boss/owner. Oh and the bathrooms were disgusting, when I asked for toilet paper the manager just shrugged his shoulders and walked off.

I recently popped into the Flying Horse for a pint with a mate of mine. My draught beer was off, however when explaining this to the manageress, i was told that it was impossible that there was a problem with the beer. Rather than attempt to resolve the problem in any way, she just repeated how it was impossible. I returned the beer and purchased another beer. Very small problem which could of so easily been resolved by an approachable and considerate manager. We will not be returning for a pint or a meal in the future.

I first went to the Flying Horse for a couple of pints in 1970 - and it is still the same "proper" pub, unlike most of the pubs in the City which have been gentrified and ruined. Excellent range of real ales, good sandwiches and simple pub meals. Staff always friendly and helpful. An excellent traditional, proper pub.

This is a very popular after work establishment on the edge of the city. They have a good selection of beers and have about 4 real ales on tap.Not much else to say other than it is worth a visit if you are thirsty.

This place is a clearly one of the local institution which is worth a visit - good serving very nice pub meal - no high street performance, but real deal and good atmosphere

The busiest pub in the area. A proper old-skool drinking hole (even if it is staffed by antipodeans). The landlord - although he is from the Southern Hemisphere - knows how a pub ticks and puts plenty of girls behind the bar for the attention of the largely male City audience. They recognise the regulars and remember your round and in turn save themselves the precious time that they need with it being so busy.

Very nice atmosphere with locale mengled with elegant City men. Best French Fries ever tried, delicious. Hamburger. Broad beer selection.

This pub is a good venue for Thursday/Friday evening after work drinks. It has an upstairs with darts and a few tables. It tends to get busy on Thursdays and Fridays. Most people take their drinks out on the pavement. If the sun is shining, a lot of people tend to gather outside. The pint is reasonably priced and this is a safe choice after work if you work in the Finsbury Square area. The clientèle tends to come from a financial data provider which has its European headquarters next door.
