The most outstanding value for money restaurant in London. Really really good quality Mexican food which just proves that you don&#039;t need to spend a lot of money to enjoy great food.<br /><br />The whole restaurant is very relaxed with very friendly and fun waiters.

Estábamos visitando Londres para hacer turismo por unos días y este restaurante fue la vuelta de la esquina de la calle ciudad Travel Lodge en el que estábamos. Tengo una tarjeta de la sociedad de gourmet, que ofrece descuentos a los bares y restaurantes, y en este establecimiento obtenga un 50% de descuento en comida. Pero sin esto es razonable, la comida era muy buena variedad y calidad. Cuando visitamos era un domingo por la noche y sólo 4 personas en otro, así que el ambiente era le permite decir deficiente. Este no es un ligado en el restaurante, todo el mundo tiene momentos más tranquilos pero si buscas por allí, creo que esto se mece en decir que un viernes o un sábado por la noche.

Visited there in a tuesday night.... restaurant was basically empty, then ordered some ribs, burritos and tacos, service was great, but the food wasnt the best. It was just ok, I am glad I had the tastecard.

Went here on business for lunch and it was amazing! Great taste, perfect portion size (not too small!) and good customer service. I will definitely be returning for another burrito when I am near by!

Vine aquí con mi amigo en un miércoles por la noche antes de ir a bailar salsa. Gran ambiente aquí buena música. Cócteles muy fuerte que es genial. nachos tenía un montón de topping, mi enchilada era tan sabrosa y caliente. No pude terminar todo era tan deliciosa. Comida llegó rápido y servidor atento! No es un mal precio!

We went for my boyfriend&#039;s birthday with a group of 12 people. The waiters were very accommodating and super friendly. I made a passing comment about whether they have an embarrassing way to promote the fact it was my bf&#039;s birthday and they delivered! After we finished our food, they played the birthday song over the speakers and came out singing with a piece of (complimentary) chocolate cake with a candle, before bringing us all sombreros to wear and take silly pictures. <br /><br />Food sizes are very generous! I suggest not ordering starters if you plan on finishing your meal - or getting tapas instead. I shared nachos with my boyfriend as a starter and then was only able to finish just over half of my main - and I tried as the food was delicious. The feedback on the cocktails was also great from everyone in the group.<br /><br />Overall, great value for money, tasty food, and lovely staff! We had a fun time and I will definitely go back again in the future. It may not be &quot;fine dining&quot; but if you&#039;re looking for a fun, quite stereotypically Mexican place, I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. :)

I love spicy food and this restaurant provides it to the best. paying a visit almost once a month and have never been let down by the food. Staff is also very friendly. Highly recommended.

Finito per caso nel ristorante ne vengo subito colpito. Siamo un gruppo numeroso e ci hanno riservato due tavoli che occuapno quasi metà locale. All'ingresso ci vengono consegnati dei sombrero che porteremo tutta la sera.

Una gran variedad de comida a precios muy razonables, un buen nivel de calor y buenos cócteles. Los nachos estaban bien cargadas y los tacos de como hacer tus propias, que era un toque de diversión. Un buen lugar para grupos con un servicio eficiente y amigable.

It wasn&#039;t the best steak but the service was amazing, this lovely waitress that works there is very pretty, and very kinda, customer service was good, it would of been nice if the chefs seasoned there meat but overall it was a 6/10 it was nice.

Had high hopes for this place, but overall disappointed. The service was very quick, but it soon became apparent why. The food tasted like it had been sat there for a few hours and reheated in the microwave. The rice tasted like Uncle Ben&#039;s ready made, but we were assured by the waitress that this was not the case. The most flavoursome item on the table was the bottle of Cholula sauce! The view of two microwaves through the kitchen door didn&#039;t provide any reassurance. At least the waitress was good enough to acknowledge the poor quality of the food by taking one of the dishes off the bill. Not her fault, the service was very good. Sadly though, the food was a huge let down, so we won&#039;t be returning.

Wouldn&#039;t have gone there if I worked for a more corporate company, however my colleagues enjoy a laugh and all wore sombreros for the meal! The staff were attentive even though the restaurant was really busy at 12:30pm (I suggest booking for large numbers). There were really generous helpings of food which were really tasty! Would be nice to see some authentic fresh guacamole though! Would visit again!

I don't know how this place has got some good reviews. Sunday evening and just two couples in there. Starters were one piece of garlic bread cut in four pieces. My partner had one large mushroom (not a portabello) cut in four slices and deep fried. This came with a limp tired bit of salad. The mains were just as poor. My veg tacos came with 4 taco shells except there wasn't enough filling to go in four and no cheese!!. My partner had 3 pices of chicken and 2 bits of beef in his fajitas. Service was ok but then again it was virtually empty. I can cook better mexican at home so a complete waste of money

We had a fab night with lush food and awesome cocktails, staff were friendly and helpful, great astmosphere, if you want a quiet meal this is not for you, it&#039;s small but it&#039;s buzzing.

The place and food are good but do not expect anything special. For examples, all the burritos are pre-made so you cannot really choose what you want inside (like in many other Mexican places in London). Drinks are fine and pretty cheap for London. The place is OK and good location in Shoreditch. Overall is good and cheap but there are many other Mexican places in London and the competition is tough!

Went for dinner with a friend here. Interior was cosy, and nicely decorated. Food was tasty and the portions were very generous. The prices here are also great for the quality and quantity of food you get. Cocktails are also delicious, and there is a happy hour for 241 too! This restaurant also takes tastecard which makes eating here very enjoyable and very, very cheap. Highly recommended.

I went with my partner for a late lunch at Chico Bandito. I liked the restaurant as I celebrated my birthday there last year, however this time I went back the staff were rude. We were the only people in the restaurant and it took nearly 5 min for someone to seat us as there was nobody in the front of house. Eventual the rude male waiter (Dutch or German) came to take a drink order without even a hello or a smile. Food and drink was good. Eventually when we finished our food the staff were sitting having their meal and we had to call someone to give a desert menu to which we were told rudely by the owner there is no dessert today, he then continued to "mutter" under his breath about us. We got rude looks when we arrived and the owner appeared to be disgusted by two men having a "romantic" lunch together.

Inauthentic bland food. No attempt made at delivering real Mexican (or even real TexMex) food. Flavour profiles all wrong (no evidence of lime, fresh chillies, cumin, cilantro, chipotle); awful guacamole - just overmixed avacado to baby food consistency and tasting &#039;day old&#039;; no fresh produce in the dish except a random bit of salad on the side; As a vegetarian, I had to order one if their &#039;Cajun vegetable&#039; dishes (HINT: Cajun is not Mexican) however there wasn&#039;t a vegetable in sight! Only overlooked, under spiced beans rolled in a tortilla with some jar sauce on top. Shame, because there aren&#039;t many choices for Mexican in that area. <br />Chico Bendito: customers don&#039;t need gimmicks, drop the tacky decor and sombreros and focus on your food!

I was looking for some restaurant in the Shoreditch area and I found this one. First thing that I liked is that they called me to confirm my reservation and next when we arrived everything was super good. The atmosphere, the food was really good and the service was great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It relaxing and amusing!!

Very good nachos and enchiladas, we didn&#039;t particularly liked the fajitas. Margarita was just okish.<br /><br />We liked the location been just off the main busy streets.<br /><br />Overall I would come back if I am in the area.

I chose this restaurant due to the fact they accept taste card, however having turned up I was pleasantly surprised by the food. They have variations on the typical mexican food, which was a welcome treat. The portions were generous and by the time I'd had starter, mains and dessert and was happily filled to the top! My main was the tropical BBQ chicken with pineapple salsa, which was lovely!The restaurant has a nice look and feel to it and the staff are wonderfully helpful. Whilst sat in the restaurant a group of 15+ came in, due to the noise of the group, it made it slightly difficult to have a conversation - but nothing to detract from the lovely food.

Visited on a Saturday night with no booking and they managed to squeeze 5 of us in. Great service from very friendly and helpful staff who could not want to help more. All of us loved our food and were delighted with the three courses we demolished. I would highly recommend trying the strawberry daiquiri cocktail too - its amazing! Lovely evening, yummy complimentary shots, brilliant atmosphere and music. I would definitely return on my next visit to London.

I came here for dinner with a friend and the staff were very accommodating but there were only like two waitresses serving on quite a busy night, so sometimes it took a bit of time to get their attention for service. The food was really delicious and also very filling. The drinks were really nice and despite not having a choice of non alcoholic beverages on their drinks menu, they were able to make non alcoholic versions of some of the cocktails on request. I really liked that they had sombreros available for people to wear. I will definitely be returning

I am glad to have this excellent restaurant. I really advise you guys to go and try the strawberry mojito! They have a list of amazing cocktails. The food is great as well despite they don&#039;t give enough sauce with the fajitas but they give extra upon request.

I booked my partner a surprise birthday meal here since coming across the restaurant via Trip Advisor. I was so so impressed at the service we all received as a table of 9, the food was absolutely delicious with a vast choice of meals to choose from! I had the grilled salmon which was without a doubt superb. Every one of our dining guests said how well their food was. The cocktail list is also spectacular such a huge choice of cocktails, shooters, beers and spirits at very cheap prices which is a rare find especially in Shoreditch. With out a doubt we shall be visiting Chico Bandito again as I am very keen to work my way through the menu!The toilets were also very clean which is also a plus. If you are are in Shoreditch area I do fully recommend visiting if wanting to visit a unique Mexican venue whilst tasting the true flavours of Mexico.

Came here with friends as we were in London for a few days. Reason we found it is they accept Gourmet Dining Discount card which I have through work. However, on this day they said that they'd had the maximum usage of the discount card which was a bit disappointing but the rest of the meal made up for it! Lovely food, good cocktails and at a good price, would return if I was in the area again.

Really enjoyed the food here and the portions were huge. They also have a big range of cocktails and I highly recommend the Rose Sangria!

Visited here last week with a few friends, and although interior was nicely done, food I felt was average. Portion sizes were ok, and quality of food I didn't feel was great. Would highlight, it wasn't terrible or anything wrong with it, just not what we were after or expected. Saving grace would be they accept taste card.

Stuck in the back of the busy inner ring road/old street, among many pubs bars and eateries I stumbled upon this rather small, charming and well decorated place with cool ambience and music to accompanyMid week evenings are the best times to judge how good they are, admittedly they were not busy however from being seated, greeted and served I found genuine and well presented Mexican food. Even with three of us we could not finish the big platter of salad not to mention the Chimi Changa and Tacos filled with delicious veg/beansMarco the owner is very helpful, wines reasonable and overall nice place to eat

Usually a big group is hard to cater for but the staff here were super friendly and nice, all orders were correct and we had a really great time! Went on a Thursday night it was fairly quiet. The service was good and prices reasonable on the extensive menu. The food was fresh and tasty. We had 2 courses and a bottle of wine for £40 using tastecard.

Me and my girlfriend went here for dinner on a friday evening. We had great food (at a very fair price). I think it is an amazing place for young (party) people. As the music is quite loud and the atmosphere is very shoreditch on a friday evening, it is not a place to have a fancy meal with your parents(in law) but when you want to have an amazing dinner with some friends and drinks it really looks amazing. Nice cocktails, good vibe and awesome food! I&#039;d definitely recommend Chico Bandito to my friends!

We had our hen meal. It had a great fun feel. The value was great coming out at about £23 for my two courses and a cocktail. Food was lovely and service Was pretty good. food came out a bit slow but the restaurant was full and the food was worth the rate. Highly recommend for a big group event.

We went for my husbands birthday, the waitress was very friendly and gave my husband a Mexican hat to wear. She later brought out a shot with a candle in it and everyone sing happy birthday. Delicious food and fast happy service!

Chico Bandito is a place I&#039;ve gone to a few times. It&#039;s a great atmosphere for special occasions as the waiters pass around Mexican sombreros for you to wear. However on this particular night I just wanted to enjoy dinner with my wife and friends. They sat us down at a great table but then asked us to move as they had a larger party that needed the table. I thought this was very inconvenient and rude but understood they were not very organised and I didn&#039;t want to ruin the group&#039;s night. It&#039;s a very small place so if you have a party of 6 or more you need to book ahead, especially weekends. The food is ok, not really traditional Mexican. They use processed guacamole which is probably only 5% Avocados. I ordered a burrito which was half the size of the ones you would get at smaller and cheaper shops. IT was smothered in cheese which wasn&#039;t very good. The tacos are not soft tortillas, they are hard shells which the menu doesn&#039;t warn you! That is the most annoying aspect of this restaurant!! Please serve real tortillas and avocados!

I booked a table here via open table having read such good reviews. I got 2 confirmation emails but despite this got a call 3 hrs before my table was booked by a waitress saying there had been an error with the booking and could we move the table to a later time. This was unacceptable on the day. Later they called to say the original time was fine but when we arrived we were placed on a tiny table right by the door so we got freezing cold every time someone came in. There were three very large group of around 20 people per table which was clearly where there attention was going. We had starters and a main and had eaten and paid the bill within the hour. The best thing about the experience with the pitcher of mojito cocktail which was surprising good compared to the rest of the meal. I could have cooked better myself. A let down on what I was hoping to be a great birthday meal for my boyfriend. We will not be returning.

We walked in about 5 min before our reservation time and the waitresses couldn&#039;t seem to find our booking. <br />They made room for our party of 3 on a table with 8 seats and told us we only had 1h20 before they needed the table back. Not sure which restaurant only leaves you that little amount of time to eat but it was obvious they had made a mistake somewhere and forgotten we were coming. The food was delicious (although a very European version of Mexican Food) and didn&#039;t take long to arrive. <br />They were not at all prepared for the evening ahead because they kept moving tables and chairs all through the restaurant to make more spaces. It was not a relaxing atmosphere at all.<br />After about 1h05 the waitress came over again to say she needed the table back because the other people had arrived early!? We hadn&#039;t even finished our main course yet! She didn&#039;t apologise she just said it was a busy evening. <br />We agreed to the short dinner time in the first place but to then get &#039;asked&#039; to leave even quicker than initially agreed is appalling. I used to think this place was funny and had nice food but now I think they are amateurs.

Quite a nice atmosphere, and a good place to meet with a larger group, but the food and cocktails were unfortunately quite underwhelming. Burritos /quesadillas etc are always fairly tasty so it&#039;s a good option if you want something quick and easy, but I wouldn&#039;t personally recommend it if you&#039;re hoping for something particularly interesting or memorable. The service was friendly though and we did have a perfectly nice evening.

Went here after looking for a good place in Shoreditch, found some good reviews so we went and were disappointed. The food is very standard affair mexican with nothing very remarkable about the whole experience. On the plus side it was inexpensive so wasnt too upset but I would not go back again.

It was a romantic meal with the other half, restaurant was full of Xmas parties but we didn&#039;t feel left out or ignored, in fact at one point we joined in and were given Mexican hats to wear. <br /><br />From ordering drinks to food, it was a great experience, we were waited on hand and foot. Drinks came out promptly as did the food which tasted great. We were so full after the starters and mains that we couldn&#039;t manage dessert. We were envious looking at the other tables. <br /><br />Thanks to all the staff that night including hakan for the shots of Patron, we had a fun filled night.<br /><br />Everyone had the Xmas festive cheer and it made for a good night out.

This place was a recommendation to me from a very good friend of mine which has been there previously with her colleagues. I am glad she did as it is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been too. The moment I walked in I was welcomed by the friendly staff and loved the atmosphere straight away. Food was delicious, I had Chicken Fajita and Nachos. (very good portions as well!) It is hard to always find a place with good food and service but this place defiently ticked all the boxes for me. I couldn't recommend this place any more absolutely loved it! Will be going soon again :)

Happy hour is clearly what brings the customers in here . Our starters were mainly all deep fried , we had to repeat our order for our mains to 2 different waitresses and the order was still wrong upon delivery to the table .Considering we ate at 5pm and were the only customers in the restaurant for the first 40 mins , service was slow and we were almost pestering to waitresses to order more drinks . Bad business , if I was working here Id be offering the customers as many drinks as possible , it was Friday night and pay day weekend ?! Disappointing

Found this place on line as we knew we were in the area and on a tight timescale. We were able to book on line which was a huge benefit and also check out the menu. To be honest we were not expecting such a good place. It was not huge and as it was busy being able to book was a huge advantage. The choice was excellent and we had the best jug of sangria I have ever had. The food was cooked just as we requested and the atmosphere was just right . Loved the place and it's now on my list to revisit if in the area.

After my third visit to Chico Bandito, I can honestly say that the food, drinks &amp; service is amazing. It was by recommendation that I found out about this restaurant through a work colleague, and I was certainly impressed as soon as I walked in. The staff are extremely friendly and the décor &amp; music definitely gives the place an authentic lively atmosphere.We've always been to the restaurant in a large group so I was lucky to try out a few of their dishes but my favorites have to be their King Prawn Fajitas, Classic Nachos and Steak Fajita Salad. The food is very fresh and definitely come in exceedingly filling portions. They have large selection of cocktails which is also another bonus.Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to everyone, all my work colleagues and friends have gone back after one visit.Great food, friendly service and a cute guy who makes the best cocktails :)I’ll definitely be back again!

I've been to Chico a couple of times, firstly because I found it was on tastecard - they've since changed their policy so you can't use in on a weekend anymore (very annoying).Both times it was fun, lively, good atmosphere and the food's been good, what you would expect from a Mexican with standard prices. Main criticism is I've felt rushed both times - the main course came out within 5 minutes of clearing the main and as soon as you sit down they want to make you order - wasn't a very relaxing evening.The Quesadillas are always lovely, as are the fajitas - nachos, not so great.

Service was fast and friendly, without rushing us out the door. As most places do on a Friday night. There was no need to beckon the waitress as she was on hand on my last sip of beer each time. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. I love mexican food and left nothing on my (nor my girlfriends) plate. Great restaurant, food, selection of drinks and great prices. However, could&#039;ve done with more staff

I frequently use this restaurant for locality, friendliness and value for money.<br />The owner is always welcoming and eager to please in a way which is not overbearing or about money which is refreshing. Even when it is clear the restaurant is busy, the staff never appear to be flustered so, when there is a slight delay in receiving group orders, it is taken with good grace.

Easy going restaurant to enjoy nice mexican food...what else? Very helpful and kind staff makes the difference! I will come back for sure. Highly recommended!

Given the rate at which mexican food in London is improving, we were very disappointed by this restaurant. The margaritas were awful and most of the food seemed to be reheated or deep fried. A sure sign of a good mexican restaurant is homemade guacamole and salsa. This place had neither. Avoid.

Get to CB for Happy Hour - the cocktails are wonderful, and your liver won&#039;t thank you for it. Lace your stomach with the good food to allow you to enjoy the alcohol without making a complete fool of yourself. <br />Calm decor, very attentive staff. A bit small though.

As a vegetarian, food can often be a bit bland (more so when you love spicy food!), the Cajun vegetable filling here definitely hits the spot. Service was a little slow but was with a smile

I went to this Mexican restaurant many times in august!to be honest, every time the food was delicious in particular the hamburger with chili con carne!If you have the taste card, you have the deal!!!

Came here with some friends for my brother's birthday. The restaurant serves a great selection of cocktails which were probably the most dearest part of the meal. We all had a great selection of starters ranging from nachos, ribs and cheesy jalapenos, burritos.The chilli con carne in particular was amazing as it had just the right spice! On the menu, it states it is quite spicy however it depends on how well you can handle it! Overall I liked this dish, as the portioning was just enough to keep you satisfied! The staff were very friendly, however I thought they may've been a bit too aggressive on trying to sell drinks (asking about 5/6 times?) However, kudos to them for looking after their customers as well as they can. To spice up the night, everyone was given sombreros to accompany their meal to really make it a genuine mexican experience. All we were missing were some ponchos for next time!Overall, great restaurant, was cheap for a London meal. Would come again!

They say children friendless meaning todales and up... not the case you cannot get a pram in there and I had a double buggy... wheel chair access not really you have to move everobes table before wheel chairs cab get in.<br />Food bland no taste what so ever and I got steak fajita.... overall if u want good food... pick else where.

My colleagues and I regularly go to Chico Banditos for a bargainous lunchtime treat. The food is delicious, the frozen margaritas tasty, and wearing sombreros a real treat :)

Unreliable at first glance, it quickly turns into a cosy and fun place, when they bring you big portions of decent food and more people arrive :)<br />Quesadilla is delicious there, and there are a lot of nachos on plate.<br />The choice of beer is not so big as their portions: you may select of 4-5 beers, but they have cocktails as well so you won&#039;t be disappointed.

I have visited this restaurant a few times in the past... But when I came in Sunday I realised that the management had changed.... And I must admit I was very happy with the new menu and the staff were very pleasant and helpful...therefore I shall be returning more regularly now..well done to the new owners..

Staff were really friendly and accommodating - even when the restaurant was heaving during the lunch hour rush! Food was very good and presented well, and the restaurant itself was clean and tidy. I don&#039;t think you could find better value for money in this part of London.
