The Flute in Liverpool

The Flute on Hardman street is a fantastic local pub that offer's an excellent range of well priced food and drinks and was one of the many places me and my twin visited on a bit of a pub crawl around this area of the city centre. The Flute has everything that a traditional pub should have from well priced drinks or meals and pub games like pool and there's TV screen's dotted throughout this brilliant pubs spacious interior. The pub itself has a nice interior with many interesting fixtures and features and good seating options throughout the whole pubs interior and very good staff who made our visit a pleasant experience. When we visited here we had a few glasses of Cruscampo brewery lagers which where excellent and were really well priced.This is a superb local pub in a brilliant area of the city centre and well worth visiting and easy to get to from South Hunter street bus stop its a short walk. Great value for money with their £5 food menu and a large portion of soft serve ice cream for £2.50. Amazing customer service and fantastic atmosphere! Always a good visit! Thank you Adam, Jack and Joe for a great time!

Great visit, friendly staff, good value, great atmosphere! Loads of TVs to watch the sports on when enjoying a drink and some food and play a wide range of music once the football is over!

Chips werent cooked, but then again it was cheap, also pool cue’s were damaged sadly and i wanted to play pool, nice they have pool tables tho, staff are nice in here and the drinks are a good price but its let down by some of the food. Saying that ghe chicken burger my friend had looked lovely so i maybe just experienced an anomoly. Will return with open mind as there was lots of good points like sports on the tele.

I can’t stand this pub, great food served in a timely manner? Where do they get off?!! With frothy pints of Amber gold and adequate sport providings, you’re sure to find something to love if you spend an afternoon here, or even a whole evening (can’t speak for the morning, not willing to advocate unless I’m 100% certain) come on down. The bathroom attendant was if anything, too thorough. All hail Eloise!!!

The place is quite nice. Food is...what you pay for! Frozen piece of fish, oven chips, nearly cold mushy peas! Avoid the brownie. Its claggy, made with cheap chocolate and the ice cream with it isn't proper ice cream. I took one bite and left the rest. The staff have walked past the plate, shoved to the end of of our table, at least 6 times. Wine was the saving grace!

Went in to watch the footie, there were loads of tvs so we could watch both matches at the same time. We had a burger and a pint and it was fantastic.

Been visiting the flute for years always go before when I watch a show at the philharmonic for bite to eat & few pints. Went Tuesday before level 42 performance & was very disappointed for the first time I orderd chicken burger with waffle fries food was just abt edible, I should realy of returned & asked for a refund. Instead I was making excuses to myself as food had always been good before this experience. Will not be returning before any more concerts at the philharmonic will try elsewhere next time.

The service was atrocious. I went during lunch and at one point no one was tending the bar for over 15 minutes. There weren’t many people there all together but there shouldn’t be an excuse for the lack of staff present.

Four members of staff behind the bar chatting. Unwiped, dirty tables so I cleaned my own. Poor in every way

Arrived around 6.15pm and ordered some meals as we were going on later to the Philharmonic Hall for 7.30pm. Explained our situation and was promised we'd have our food in 20 minutes. Great! So the food arrived - chicken burger and chips (perfectly fine), a 3 bean burger and chips (absolutely disgusting in taste and texture - was it meant to be raw in the middle??) and scampi and chips (but only received a plate of scampi). Asked where the chips were - "oh that'll be another 10/15 minutes"...so my partner then had to wolf them down as we were in danger of missing the start of the concert. The price of the food for what we got was extortionate. Didn't even get a bit of salad on the side! Won't return.

Food and service is great. Weekdays offers are just amazing 😻 One of the best place to play around in snookers and other games while having a drink with friends along with good background music 🎶

13 TV'S, so no matter where you are seated you can watch the sports.Very friendly and approachable staff, lovely food and great atmosphere.

We were a group of 9, pre booked in for a birthday meal after attending a show in Hot Water Comedy Club. We were a little rowdy but staff smiled politely at our antics and were personable and efficient. The food was delivered in good time and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. We would definitely recommend this place and will certainly be returning.

Food was nice but tiny portion of curry and waited over 30 minutes for it and pub wasn't busy even though it was a Saturday

Can't fault it. The manager lady is fantastic and that clearly filters down. All the staff are lovely. The beer is consistently perfect and comes with a smile. A great place.

Very good atmosphere and service

My dad and I came from Glasgow and happened to stop by into the flute for 1 before heading to a concert. It became the place we went to for the next 3 days, the atmosphere is on par, drinks are up to standard and the staff are so welcoming. Sosha especially has made our experience in Liverpool one to remember! Will definitely be back again.

Such a lovely vibe. Nice staff and good music. There are a great selection of beers, which are inexpensive and it's a student haunt, with nice people having a great time. Well worth popping in for a pint or too. Such a bustling, vibrant pub.

PLEASE give the ginger woman who works behind the bar a raise. the past few weeks i’ve come in here twice and ordered food and she has brought it out to me both times. she is so friendly and nice. literally both times i’ve been she was so kind. i don’t know how she remains so nice and happy when she has to deal with drunk first years on a regular basis but her customer service is amazing & i hope it’s recognised by her employers!!

Walking down Hardman Street my twin brother Stephen and I decided to drop into one of our favourite pubs along this street namely The Flute Pub. A great looking pub ,the interior is traditional,a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room ,pubby decor and furnishings ,pool tables,big screens to enjoy the sport and lots of seating options. We were here on a Thursday late afternoon,we ordered a guinness each ,these were poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle,we chilled out and planned out the rest of the day ahead while sipping our guinness. Guinness served in here was spot on ,a thick,creamy and most importantly freezing cold guinness bursting with taste and very easy to drink indeed ,it's hardly surprising this pub is so popular with drinks of this quality . We really enjoyed our guinness in here before we moved on and as on every previous visit to here we had a great time. The Flute Pub is easy to locate along Hardman Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday,open from midday. Saturday & Sunday,open from 11am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

The Flute has a brilliant open-plan interior with nice decor and furnishings and lots of interesting fixtures and features and great seating options throughout the whole pubs interior. With a pool table on offer and live sporting events shown on there many TV screens'its a superb pub to relax with a beer or one of there excellent meals.We visited here early in the evening and it was really busy and it took us a few minutes to get served.On our visit we had a few glasses of Guinness that were perfectly served and well priced. This is an excellent pub in a fantastic area of the city centre and easy to find from the bus stop at Sugnall street bus stop it's only a minutes walk.(This is my second review of the Flute). A very good pub on Herdman Street Liverpool and very cheap for drinks this place is very good for a great night its well worth a visit if your a student lot of places in Liverpool are grubby but this out all the place iv done reviews on in Merseyside is the best iv been to so far and lots of students use this pub

Visited the Flute for some food and drinks before heading off to a show at the comedy club. Firstly, the staff were wonderfully friendly and accommodating, I think it was Tom and Dan, both young uni lads but mature and professional. Drinks prices are more than reasonable in comparison to some other nearby venues. Overall, a fab visit!
