The Flute in Liverpool

Been here a few times watch the football. It has loads of screens strategically placed all around, good crowd with a good mix of people. Has a couple of pool tables which is great as it's not all that common in pubs these days. Have yet to try the food but I'm sure it is great as well, looks good anyway.

We have just returned from a meal at the Flute. I was with my mum and 2 teens, one of whom is autistic and has a severely limited diet. Unfortunately they did not have the options that she wanted which almost caused a huge meltdown. The situation was saved by a jug of the thickest gravy I have ever seen. Staff were brilliant, friendly and understanding - this does not always happen in other places.

First time in this evening before going to the theatre. Food selection is great, freshly cooked and was excellent value for money, washed down with a decent pint to. Staff were very nice and friendly. Definitely will be back.

My twin brother and I were pub hopping around this part of the city when we decided to drop into The Flute Pub,a pub I always look forward to visiting on any trip to Liverpool City Centre I take. A great looking pub, interior is light and airy, a cool looking serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings, big screens to enjoy the sport,pool tables and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub ,its just a really good pub to unwind in. We were here on a Thursday evening, we ordered beers from Cruzcampo Brewery, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling,we kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub while sipping our delicious Spanish beers. A big fan of this most famous of Spanish beers,its a golden, light and hoppy lager style beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink especially when served freezing cold as in this pub,it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother ,best beer companion in the world . We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to The Flute Pub we had a great time. The Flute Pub is easy to locate along Hardman Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from midday. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

The Flute on Hardman street is a fantastic local pub that offer's an excellent range of well priced food and drinks and was one of the many places me and my twin visited on a bit of a pub crawl around this area of the city centre. The Flute has everything that a traditional pub should have from well priced drinks or meals and pub games like pool and there's TV screen's dotted throughout this brilliant pubs spacious interior. The pub itself has a nice interior with many interesting fixtures and features and good seating options throughout the whole pubs interior and very good staff who made our visit a pleasant experience. When we visited here we had a few glasses of Cruscampo brewery lagers which where excellent and were really well priced.This is a superb local pub in a brilliant area of the city centre and well worth visiting and easy to get to from South Hunter street bus stop its a short walk. Five pound food deal was good value. Good service and nice atmosphere

We went in for the £5 meal deal and it was fantastic. Beautifully presented and plenty of it! Very nice friendly staff. Definitely going back there!!

Good place to pre booze and chill with your friends and for game nights. One of the cheapest bar you can find around the uni of Liverpool.

Went in last Tuesday what a great atmosphere with the students I felt really comfortable in there highly recommended.

Such a lovely vibe. Nice staff and good music. There are a great selection of beers, which are inexpensive and it's a student haunt, with nice people having a great time. Well worth popping in for a pint or too. Such a bustling, vibrant pub.

Chips werent cooked, but then again it was cheap, also pool cue’s were damaged sadly and i wanted to play pool, nice they have pool tables tho, staff are nice in here and the drinks are a good price but its let down by some of the food. Saying that ghe chicken burger my friend had looked lovely so i maybe just experienced an anomoly. Will return with open mind as there was lots of good points like sports on the tele.

I can’t stand this pub, great food served in a timely manner? Where do they get off?!! With frothy pints of Amber gold and adequate sport providings, you’re sure to find something to love if you spend an afternoon here, or even a whole evening (can’t speak for the morning, not willing to advocate unless I’m 100% certain) come on down. The bathroom attendant was if anything, too thorough. All hail Eloise!!!

The place is quite nice. Food is...what you pay for! Frozen piece of fish, oven chips, nearly cold mushy peas! Avoid the brownie. Its claggy, made with cheap chocolate and the ice cream with it isn't proper ice cream. I took one bite and left the rest. The staff have walked past the plate, shoved to the end of of our table, at least 6 times. Wine was the saving grace!

Went in to watch the footie, there were loads of tvs so we could watch both matches at the same time. We had a burger and a pint and it was fantastic.

Been visiting the flute for years always go before when I watch a show at the philharmonic for bite to eat & few pints. Went Tuesday before level 42 performance & was very disappointed for the first time I orderd chicken burger with waffle fries food was just abt edible, I should realy of returned & asked for a refund. Instead I was making excuses to myself as food had always been good before this experience. Will not be returning before any more concerts at the philharmonic will try elsewhere next time.

The service was atrocious. I went during lunch and at one point no one was tending the bar for over 15 minutes. There weren’t many people there all together but there shouldn’t be an excuse for the lack of staff present.

Four members of staff behind the bar chatting. Unwiped, dirty tables so I cleaned my own. Poor in every way

Arrived around 6.15pm and ordered some meals as we were going on later to the Philharmonic Hall for 7.30pm. Explained our situation and was promised we'd have our food in 20 minutes. Great! So the food arrived - chicken burger and chips (perfectly fine), a 3 bean burger and chips (absolutely disgusting in taste and texture - was it meant to be raw in the middle??) and scampi and chips (but only received a plate of scampi). Asked where the chips were - "oh that'll be another 10/15 minutes"...so my partner then had to wolf them down as we were in danger of missing the start of the concert. The price of the food for what we got was extortionate. Didn't even get a bit of salad on the side! Won't return.

13 TV'S, so no matter where you are seated you can watch the sports.Very friendly and approachable staff, lovely food and great atmosphere.

We were a group of 9, pre booked in for a birthday meal after attending a show in Hot Water Comedy Club. We were a little rowdy but staff smiled politely at our antics and were personable and efficient. The food was delivered in good time and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. We would definitely recommend this place and will certainly be returning.

Can't fault it. The manager lady is fantastic and that clearly filters down. All the staff are lovely. The beer is consistently perfect and comes with a smile. A great place.
