We were wandering around Borough Market looking for baked goods. We stopped here and the choices were good but nothing different than the other area bakeries, The flavors were spot on but nothing I could rave about. If you are in the market stop here and try their baked goods but don't go out of your way for them

I really enjoyed this I'm gutted it don't deliver to my area now.

Disappointing arrived late and cold and the batter on the cod had strange after taste from the oil it was cooked in the delivery driver did apologise for being but still disappointed with the quality of the food

Late delivery Ordered sweet chili but got ketchup

Ordered @ 18:55. EDT 20:00.Altered to 20:30. ADT 21:00. Left note because I am on crutches asking to Ring Flat 1 Door Bell so why did the driver knock on my door and ring my Door Bell? I also asked for the order in 2 bags? You didn't even write on the wrapper so we had to open every package to sort out the order before my neighbour could go home and eat it? Isn't it about time you taught your drivers to read notes or did you not even bother giving them to him? I am starting to think about not ordering from you again

Placed an order and was given a delivery time of over an hours wait. I appreciate that this may be the case when busy - however, the food was then 30 mins late, making the actual wait time closer to 2 hours! When the food arrived, it was just lukewarm and the portion sizes were far smaller than we have had from here before. Very disappointing.

food was late. phoned the restaurant who told us it was on the way and would be with us soon. still didn’t arrive. contacted just eat for a refund of the £2.00 delivery charge and the restaurant refused this and cancelled the order! I now have no food.

We were originally quoted an hour and a half for delivery time... which for a chippy is ridiculous but low and behold we waited another hour and fifteen minutes on top of this so in total- for 2x battered sausages, 2x chicken nuggets and 2x small chips we waited in total 2 hours and 45 minutes! The staff were so unhelpful, refused a refund and kept telling us it'd be five minutes! The food was lovely but NEVER having our service again after the unbelievable waiting time!

This order well made up for the last one, these guys have redeemed themselves in my books, top quality grub fair price and battered marsbars!! Top notch

Lovely fish..chips dry and the spice spuds were not edibal over cooked and a pile of soft brown mush..had to throw away

Every time we order from here something is wrong they forget food like every order and this time they are super late we have. Complained before was offered free food which we never got shame be sure the food is actually nice

actually still waiting for my order, ordered it at 7.30pm said it would be here at 8.45pm it's now 9.30pm. I'm really disappointed as the food it's always nice but this is the second time this has happened.

food was fantastic although the batter was a bit soft and flouery. dont understand how it took the best part of 2 hours to deliver fish and chips.

i ordered for a family of 7, everyone loved their food except for me and my partner as we ordered 2 kebabs, not knowing that the kebabs was plain...no sauce, no salad, just the kebab meat. Kind of disappointing but good service.

Food arrived warm which was annoying as it was already late so won't be using again. Portion sizes were smaller than expected and had ordered jumbo sausages and received small one as replacement.

The chips were old and burnt, the scampi didn’t even taste like the and the sausages where also burnt

They told me going to refund an get back in contact just eat an put money back in bank an re delivery tomorrow a fresh meal as was so over cooked could not eat it had to cook meal for kids in end not happy

Amazing food and amazing staff. Portions are perfect size so you get your money’s worth. I would definitely recommend this to others.

The food was horrible! The salad was browning, the chips looked like they were yesterday's chips that had been reheated, the wrap was appalling....healthier option...might be because there was next to nothing in it! Ordered 4 lots of chips and only got 3! The only thing I can say was good was the delivery driver was nice and cheerful despite being 15/20 minutes late. Wouldn't order from here again!

First time the meal was not very nice, food was warm, curry sauce pot was upside down in the bag luckily it didn't leak, chips looked like they were cooked in old oil never had a bad meal from here before

Just received our food that we waited 2 hours for, to be greeted with no apology for the wait. Used to use this takeaway all the time as it does the best spicy spuds but the service has really gone down hill which is a shame.

Absolute shocking ordered at 6.55pm came at 9.30pm food was not nice had a phone call at 845 to tell me that something on my order was no longer available shocking would not order again nearly 3 hours ridiculous have a 8year old son who has school and needed to go bed fuming

Food was 20 minutes late which wasn't too much of a problem, I understand that it may have been busy. However the doner wrap was very small for £5 and the chips didn't have salt or vinegar on them.

The food was 35 minutes late. Delivered to my door by a young child?? The cod smelt and tasted of ammonia (decomposing fish) which I found even more disgusting considering these were also part of the "cod chunks kids meal" ... And the cherry on the rotten cake was that the food was cold, very greasy and the chips were very overcooked. I'd avoid this place on future.

Sorry to say that the quality has gone down somewhat recently, on this occasion the chips weren't fresh, they were baked to the point of being unpleasant. The cod wasn't up to the previous high standard I had come to enjoy. Is this place under new management or ownership ?

Unfortunately it appears that something has gone seriously awry here, delivery time has become ridiculous, that's when it shows up at all. A real shame as I used to order regularly as best cod and chips in Plymouth. Needs sorting.

The order before last I ordered a Mince & Onion Pie, I got Steak & Kidney Pie (Red Foil Tray). Last order I got the M & O Pie (Red Foil Tray). This time I ordered Pasty and M & O Pie, I was contacted to be told no Pasties? So I said OK change it to another M & O Pie. I get 2 Steak Pies (Silver Foil Trays). I would get rid of the elves?

Rang when order was 25 mins late, they apologised and said they were busy and driver had just left. Driver didn’t even apoligisr that order was late, very poor in my opinion

ordered at 8.15 took them an hour and a half to deliver, bacon burger was missing bacon and was burnt and didn’t put bbq sauce on them as ordered, also missing battered mars bars, waste of time and money!! thanks for nothing

delivery was on time but I stopped the driver to note that a drink was missing to be told they’d go collect it straight away to then realise that a side order was missing with one of the kids meals as well so rang the restaurant to be told that they would get it straight out to me over and hour later still hadn’t received neither the drink or side order rang again get it to you as soon as possible just went to call again as still hadn’t received it and there now closed! such poor service

Ordered at 19:30 recied at 22:15. A 12 year old girl delivered it trapped my dogs paw in the gate that hard he yelped. Food wasnt fully cooked, cold, greasy and the fish was slimey. I rang the restaurant multiple times constantly being told "its on its way" was also told because i paid by card i couldnt have refund from restaurant. Will never order from here again and i advise same to others. No way would i recommend this restaurant and will be telling friends and family about this horrific experience.

Ordered x4 fish & chips got the fish but no chips! Rang up & promised they'd send them out. waited another hour so rang again & they said there on there way another hour & half went by and still no chips! Rang again and shop closed! Never got them at all so husband went too work nightshift Hungary will never order off them again absolutey shocking! Not happy

I ordered the large chip portion. It should be renamed huge. There was enough to feed a small family! Lovely meal.

Bit of a funny one. I was contacted to be told they had no Pasties? So I opted for a Cod's Roe Fritter and a Pea Fritter. When the order arrived there was a note to say they had run out of Pea Fritters so had sent 2 Cod's Roe Fritters. When I open them there are 5? So I presume an order comes with 2? And a free can of 7 up.My Beef and Onion Pie turned out to be a Steak and Kidney? (Red Foil case)? On the other hand I did get half a sack of chips.

The last time I ordered them the food was late and the portions seemed to have got smaller , After checking there reviews last night I thought I would give then one more try all I can say is WOW the portions were huge they were 10 mins early on delivery and very polite at the door , i wound never give any takeaway a top rating as let's be honest it is take away food but this is as close as you will get , highly recommended .

Normal service resumed, EXCELLENT, worth every penny, best cod and chips in the city, order early !

Ordered just after 6pm to be delivered at 7 pm added 25 minutes to delivery time, phoned and told they were very busy that mine was the next out, now an hour later no food. A shame, very disappointed, cancelled order and requested refund from Just Eat.

The mushy pea fritter was called inside and all the food was clearly cooked in oil that was not regularly replaced and cleaned and this time to the food and it is a simple process to make sure the Irish filtered and every day a certain amount should be topped up and this will keep the all in very good condition every day I clearly they were not doing this despite the fact that I had told them that this was a process that need to be done in order to produce quality food every day

usually order from here but has really gone downhill. we ordered to be called to say they ran out of what we ordered we asked for fish as a replacement for our 2 portions which cost £3.40 each so not cheap. they said they would replace for same price and throw in extra for the inconvenience. order came with 1 of the smallest piece of fish I’ve seen mostly batter. called shop to tell them was polite and promised our 2 cod would be delivered that was well over 45 mins ago and nothing yet so our food is eaten with no fish. very disappointed. we had an issue with them before delivering our food after 2 hours gave them another chance and this now. we won’t be using again. and we paid cash so we’re minus money and food. not happy at all.....

My order was never delivered. I called the restaurant when it was 20 minutes past the time they gave for delivery, to be told it was out for delivery. It never came. By this time, the restaurant was now closed. My payment however, was made and accepted immediately. This is the first time I have had this happen to me using Just Eat, and the last time I'll be ordering anything from this restaurant.

Fish small and stone cold very dry

Used to be good, lately really gone downhill. Last 2 orders chips were lukewarm and mostly rock solid/stale. Shrinking portion sizes. Battered mars now double price for the same tiny bar. Disappointing. Sorry guys but this was my last order.

Email from JustEat stated order would arrive at 10pm. Order cancelled, but turned up and rejected at 9:15pm. Still with-held money from my bank account, which I won't get back for 7 days!

We ordered on a Sunday evening. Our food was due to be delivered at 19:40. We rang at 20:10 and were told they were really busy but our order was being cooked and would be out in the next delivery. At 9pm our food finally arrived 2.5 hours after we ordered it. The order wasn't correct, we received a burger instead of a portion of chips and gravy instead of curry sauce. That being said, the food we did order was tasty and still hot when it arrived. The staff we spoke to were polite and apologetic but we felt the fact our order wasn't right and on top of that so late was really disappointing. Tasty food but would advise opting for collection and not delivery.

I am discussed with the meal I had delivered yesterday, I am a regular customer and use old station traditional fish and chips. The chips were just warm, the chicken fillet wasn't cooked properly, I asked for cheese on 2 but didn't get any, the mayo smelt fishy and had a tang to it, it resulted in being binned I wasted nearly £13 the order was 15 minutes late, and the girl never apologised for its lateness her attitude wasn't good

Food was cold. Portions smaller then usual. Driver did not ring dispute specifically asking.

Food came but things was missing and when called to say they said they bring it to me but never did

Delivered late order was short 4 portions of chips down had another 50 minutes wait for chips to be delivered and then we only got 2 portions of chips one member of staff was rude on the phone when we complained

food from here has normally been extremely good and we have ordered many times. today the food was 30 minutes late, the delivery man apologised and told us there are new owners who couldn't operate the cooking equipment. unfortunately the chips were really greasy and not the typical chip-shop-chip. the Cod roe was not battered and inedible, and as a whole the food was terrible. I want to give these guys the benefit of the doubt being new owners but at the same time if they carry the same name as their predecessors, the quality has to be there and so far it absolutely is not. not happy at all

I left a note saying please knock loudly as door bell not working? So why is the delivery driver ringing my door bell? Is she stupid/can't read or was she not given the note?

Rating given due to food being warm (eatable temp) even though food was delivered 15mins early than est time, Will consider re-ordering but not have much doubt if food is this cold upon delivery when not in a insulated bag.

Great customer service. They made my evening with a great kebab and HOT chilli sauce. Highly recommend just for the staff let alone the food. Ordered here 3 times now and its definetly my go to choice!

The food was inedible by the time it actually arrived. I called the restaurant who said it had left but it still took an hour from then. I stated to the driver that surely it would be cold and he said “ nah shouldn’t be my car is really hot” which is revolting! It all went in the bin the drink I paid for never came AND I was refused a refund! Never again!
