The Flipper in North Somerset

Food was late. After 30 minutes we contacted the shop and were told the driver was outside. Another 20 minutes later the food arrived with no apology. Food was hot and tasted better than previous orders we've had from here.

Have ordered takeaway for delivery from the Flipper on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The food quality is great and good value for money. Delivery is prompt and friendly. Definitely try their home made milkshakes, they are excellent! Would definitely recommend.

Had a takeaway from here and was expecting better having read reviews - it was terrible - my son ordered a pizza which was tasteless and I had fish and chips - the fish was greasy and the chips needed a little longer in the fryer - very disappointed and won't be trying again

Fuimos allí el mes pasado. Nos costó encontrar un lugar abierto, esto era una pequeña joya. El personal es muy amable y revisar que todo esté bien. Los precios son muy razonables. Las raciones eran un buen tamaño, teníamos grandes peces y patatas fritas y el pescado era más grande que el plato! Probado encantador y bien hecha no grasa y tienes una cuña de : limón ) muy limpio, incluso los baños. La única cosa que me decepcionó fue que era la hora del almuerzo y no había carne de Kebabs en y a mi marido le encanta un : es sin duda volver la próxima vez que estemos allí.

Un amigo me llevó a comer en este restaurante y para llevar para un anciano Ciudadano especial de bacalao y patatas fritas, blanda guisantes, pan y mantequilla con té o café, y muy agradable! En efecto una excelente comida por el precio, y no muy lejos del mar donde estoy seguro de que nos habría costado mucho más.Recomendado.

Después de ver las colas para pescado y patatas fritas en las calles y paseo marítimo comida para llevar y restaurantes, decidimos bajar por una de las calles laterales en Weston-super-Mare a satisfacer nuestras apetencias!Nos sorprendió gratamente con un gran número de salas más pequeñas en esta calle en particular.Nos sirvieron rápidamente con una generosa ración de patatas fritas cortadas a mano, bacalao frito profundo en un rebozado crujientes y un enorme plato de guisantes blandos.Era caliente, sabroso y aunque muy ligeramente grasa en el plato, hacia el final, al menos los platos estaban muy casi vacías - la corriente lugares había dejado en medio comido platos sucios mesas, que sugirió que la comida no era tan buena?Lo recomiendo

Estábamos intentando encontrar pescado y patatas fritas en un lugar lejos de las masas y me encontré con esto en una calle tranquila. No es el lugar más atractivo aspecto, un poco vieja escuela. La pareja no eran los más jovial y el precio era un poco caro. Sin embargo, él siempre preparado el pescado en orden, y la pasta era tan increíblemente finas y crujientes. Nos decepcionó que a pesar de tener una comida que tuvimos que pagar extra por salsas!La pena ir para una buena comida, no esperes cualquier conversación con los propietarios.

It's a great restaurant with great service. Highly recommended. They do take out as well. Very friendly, it's a must.

Went here for lunch with the wife won't be returning the staff had a attitude if you are not happy with anything go elsewhere

having been to this chippy a fair bit since 2012 it has gone down hill the food is bland and presentation is poor i used to love the food prior to 2012 it was really nice the service isnt good and the toilets could do with a whole revamp i dont know if its different owners but its a real shame how the quality has gone where as before it was great

Fish was small but ok & chips seemed like warm ups. We got the cod chips tea with bread & butter. The bread was poor. One piece was an offcut from a larger sandwich roll which was stale & the other a fresh bap. Tea was nice. BUT I have never been to a fish & chip restaurant that charges for tomato ketchup. 30p a small sachet. My wife & I were shocked when the waitress pointed to a sign that I could not see from where I was sat, to show me the charge. Had we fallen for this sharp practice & only discovered the charge when paying our bill, 4 sachets costing £1-20 would have increased our bill by 10%. You can get a full 560 gram bottle for little over 50p from the likes of Aldis. Greed is the only way I cans describe this sort of sharp practice. Needless to say I will not be going there again.

I only noticed 'The Flipper' as I had walked past all the pricey seafront cafes to use the cash point on the corner of Regent Street. It looked busy (Always a good sign) and as I read the offer boards outside the manageress told me "We have a table for you" gesturing inside. I called to my wife and sister in law, and entering the crowded area, we were shown to a small round table. My wife, who hates crowds, looked most uncomfortable as even more people were invited to enter. The manageress was determined to squeeze in a few more, and ensure that every table was full! The experience reminded me of busy lunchtimes at school, where a very small area had to cater for many hungry young boys. When the food arrived the comparison ended, as the Cod and Chips were the best I have tasted in a very long time! All in, three people well fed and satisfied for £15, I may well visit again.

Have eaten in this fish and chip shop whenever I visit Weston for a number of years now. A very good fish and chips cooked when you order service is always friendly and efficient
