Great fish & chips our go to place for a delivery,

We had 2 meals one was very good the other was poor the small fish was dry and the batter was hard .

Fish was so good you could tell it was fresh and the batter was cripsy and tasty jumbo sausages is a classic so it's also good chips could of been slity more cooked but still good

This place has the freshest and best fish in Southend. The chips are always bang on It's not a restaurant but you can still sit and eat. Really good value. Highly recommend.

The food arrived cold and when eating the cod tasted like a cheaper white fish and not what i Paid for always bette to collecy on delivery Rubbish

first time ordering from this place and their curry sauce is 10 out 10 amazing and the portion size for chips is crazy the medium is more like a large to me will definitely order again soon

over 2 hours after ordering still no food delivered. 20 mins after calling food turns up, STONE COLD! asked for refund no refund given never using here again what a waste of over 22 pound for fish and chips that want in the bin

Food not delivered. Got my money but no food, After a day on parade for a Remembrance service in London I was looking forward to a fish supper until this lot screwed me over. and wouldn't hand over my food.

The chips here are the perfect amount of crisp and soft on the inside, staff are super friendly and the curry sauce is the best thing I have ever tasted.

I would not buy my fish and chips from anywhere else, the food is always great, fresh and hot. Their curry sauce is also great and seems to be what it says rather than some curry flavoured gravy

Great food, gluten-free options, and the staff are very nice. Never get an order wrong. Never a long wait despite the fact they are always really busy. Bit more expensive than some fish and chip shops, but I've tried a few others locally, and they don't compare. Best curry sauce!

One of the best fish and chips in Southend-on-Sea. Go for the special, enough for one, .very generous portions. I always go here Well recommended. Parking outside if you miss the school run at about 12

I waited over 2 hours for my order

Food was over 1hr and 30 minutes late so we had to buy more food as the children were hungry so £30 take away cost us an extra £15 so will not be recommending just eat or fish house. It was NOT the driver's fault as when food did arrive it was hot

driver went the wrong way for 10 mins food arrived stone cold when I asked the driver questions he said he does not speak English. I don't think multi drop is acceptable if it is in two different directions from the restaurant. I want a refund on delivery fee and service charge not just my food. this is making a good restaurant look bad and I hope they complain too.

Food never arrived! Watched driver stop on map at different road and mark as delivered! Called take away but they couldn’t do anything as just eat driver. Takeaway then shut so we couldn’t get dinner! No one to complain to just a standard email saying just eat would look in to it. Won’t be using just eat again!

We also go to the fish house on the way to football. Considering the length of the queue, the food is always top quality, and the service is delivered with a smile and polite conversation.

really disappointed today, been going to the fish house for 20+ years but today the fish was literally dripping in yellow oil and the chips tasted old, really chewy and just not pleasant. never been like this but will make me think twice about returning

Discount Tuesday doesn't really work. Discount minus VAT and a Service Charge = a discount that's not worth mentioning. Chips were undercooked, greasy and cold. Very disappointing.

Fantastic, will definitely be ordering from again. We had intended to do a pickup before realising we could have it delivered to our house instead (much prefer a delivery after a busy work week!) partner was very happy with the vegan fish too. Recommended 😁

The fish house has been my only go to for fish and chips (and other) goodies. For as long.as I've lived in Southend. The golden winner is their curry sauce. It's the best in town. They are always busy too which gives you a clue to quality. I'll always go to them and hope they continue to serve the best ☺️

Sadly food was cold and found an actual stone in the chips from the potatoes. Cost £5 fit delivery and service charge so just not worth it

Genuinely disappointed, I always order from here as they’re my fav. But the chips were still hard inside and were stodgy on the outside. Borderline inedible 😫

Worst chips I've ever had. Gone down hill, and the staff don't even acknowledge you when you order, just throw in a bag, only words were do you want salt and vinegar. The chips were really greasy, expensive and most of it went in the bin, would of taken them back but England were playing. Chips were horrendous!!!

Food and service was not up standard

we usually order from here. this time not good as our delivery was just left on doorstep and we didn't know. the chips had gone up in price and not as nice as there were lots of crispy small chips all dried up. my burger hardly had anything in it and flat as a pancake. hopefully next time be better.

Terrible place for deliveries, they treat riders like slaves. If customers are wondering why it takes ages for their fish & chips to come is because they don’t start processing the order unless the driver has arrived, although they have 10-15 min to do it they simply ignore it

We normally order from fish house quite alot. Never fails to please. But the one time it goes wrong.. Nothing gets done about it. Placed a £31 order. Waited over an hour. To then receive a call from the restaurant to say the driver delivered our order to the wrong address. The restaurant just says we have to refund it through JustEat. We tried. Justeat refused the refund. Unsure why. Maybe they need confirmation from restaurant and restaurant didn’t tell them? Who knows. We’re now short £30. Restaurant couldn’t offer to re deliver our order or anything to help us out. Not happy at all. Is a lot of money also.

The food from here is always delicious and apart from a Chinese makes the best curry sauce. A lot of places make a gravy based sauce but the fish house seems to make a proper curry sauce, so 10/10 from me
