Cold noodles looked like half a portion of sweet and sour chicken didn't taste as good as before sorry but won't be going back

I wouldn’t usually leave reviews to be honest but how can we grow and evolve without honest feedback.. the staff were lovely and polite and the price was cheap compared to some Chinese takeaways, but unfortunately the food wasn’t good at all. The salt and pepper chips were brown like they were stale or triple cooked with no flavour, which was confusing because we ordered as soon as it opened, the sweet and sour sauce was very vinegar based it seemed, the rice and noodles were normal though, and the spring rolls looked very odd coloured like they were old too - overall bland. I don’t write this review to be nasty but just to be truthful and hopefully help to improve x

For me, the best Chinese takeaway in Sale. The food is always excellent and whilst not the cheapest, you certainly get value for money. Ordered the special chow mein and chicken with mushrooms, last night and it was delicious. Generous portions and full of flavour. I’ve tried many of the takeaways in Sale and found nothing that beats this place.

Waste of money. Chicken was not cooked, pink in the middle so was thrown away. Beef was grissly and also had to be thrown away. Sweet and sour was tasteless and the fried rice was heavily laden in grease. There are much better Chinese takeaways nearby so we will not be ordering again and would not recommend.

Why in this day and age do some business only take cash, the fact they didn't take cards ment the lost my business and I went else where. Get into the 21st century and get a card reader, it's not expensive and you don't have to get the mainstream ones.

Salt n pepper was all tasteless, decent portion and prices though.

My first visit and would rate it high on my list of chinese food; enjoyed my meal of Beef & green peppers in Black bean sauce and bbq spare rib starters. I wasn't kept waiting long either. Its a shame they don't do card payments as I'm sure they'd do more business.

Got a dinner for 4 and it fed 6 (2 of whom ate enough for 4). and we still has plenty of food left at the end. The food was amazing and hot and ready for collection when we came. Extra bottle of Coca Cola thrown in for free. Fantastic value.

For the price and portion size there isn’t much to complain about. Bonus is the food also taste good.

Food is excellent, staff are lovely. Only problem is only pay by cash and no delivery. Other than that, fantastic.

I have been coming to this Chinese for years, the food is very tasty and I haven't had any issues with the portion size. I just wish they did Tofu or Quorn for a change rather than just vegetables, but they do a good selection and not just carrots like a lot of Chinese takeaways.

I've been using this takeaway for over thirty years and never had a bad meal. My kids love the food it is by far the best in south Manchester

This is my 2nd visit here, the food is delicious and not too salty, which is good to health. Love their crackers so much. Will try other dishes as well.

To be fair, their portion may not the biggest in town. But their price are lowest in town, at least miles away cannot find any cheaper. Besides, they do put lots of ingredients to the dishes, not the one with cheap vegetables as majority. Furthermore, my daughter is so picky, and she ate them all without saving me a bite, this is extremely sad for me, but happy I found a shop absolutely tasty.

The best Chinese place by far Great food and good prices. We travel from Boothstown, as we moved away from Sale. Boothstown is either very expensive and lacks taste and quantity of meats,fish etc.

We've been using the first since it opened over twenty years ago and have never ever had a bad meal. Our daughters moved away but when their back the first thing they ask for is a Mrs First. That's how good this takeaway is.

Pretty good Chinese takeaway, sweet and sour was tasty, good portion size, price ok. Not sure they are on the delivery sites, so maybe a little unknown?

Top chinese, would recommend to all. Just a shame that they don't deliver or take card. Worth a trip to the cash point though.

must be the worst meal from a chinese we have ever had all over cooked very dry nearly cold hardly any filling in the so called spring rolls the noodles were very oilly yuk. the prawn crackers were cooked in old oil disgusting and very salty . menu is in the bin.

this might seem a little off giving this Chinese a 3 star review but you only get 1 shot at a first impression and the one time I went I found the portions very small compared to others I've been to, I also found the food was not up to what I would call great. maybe I'll try again In future but for now I'll continue to drive back into Stretford for a decent Chinese. (I've been fair not to mention any other names while leaving this review)

Nice Chinese.. Shame they don't deliver food.

Cannot fault this place! Been a regular customer for three years now. Particular favourites are fried soft noodles, egg-fried rice and salt and pepper chips! Tasty!

Excellent. Does a great chicken chow mein. I will be going there again.
