The Firepit Restaurant & Cocktail Bar (Rawtenstall) in Rossendale

Wasn't impressed with the Service as soon as we arrived we waited few mins at the front desk for someone to come greet us . Was asked any allergies and follow me. No hi you okay thanks for waiting ect.... Was shown to our table. Had to repeat our order several times to the waiter so it was understood. The food however was delicious but the atmosphere was very lacking of anything exciting for a Sunday afternoon . You could see the Steam trains arriving though through the window.

Had a large party booking for a birthday at weekend. There were a few issues with my famalies communication on the pre order but the team at Firepit were so supportive, we really appreciated it. The service team were nothing short of amazing and the food was and always has been excellent. Such a great establishment and such a wonderful team making putting it all together, my nan loved it. Thanks guys.

bottomless brunch was abysmal. such a shame the food was lovely but 2 drinks is poor! we finally managed to squeeze a 3rd out of them before they came with the bill. was told because we were a large party 16 of us thats why took so long to get a drink very poor service would not return for brunch again.

10/10 thank you to Amelia for your service! Only thing I would say is maybe serve ribs with water or wipes for fingers- but that’s just being picky!

I ordered off the lunch menu which is 2 courses for £21 when I asked the waiter said I was within time frames for lunch menu, but wen it came to paying they charged me £26 I was only drinking tap water, wasn't happy about that as feel like they just trying to con me, the food was nice, the surrounding area was beautiful, was lunch time when I was there, quiet but nice seating area at the window

The food was very salty which definitely spoiled the evening, we ate upstairs which was lacking atmosphere at the time due to being quiet.

Service was impeccable, couldn't have been made more welcome, nothing too much trouble. Gorgeous old building brought back to life, very tasteful. I had the hanging lamb kofta kebab and I couldn't have been happier. Moist, tasty, not overly spiced. Served with fries, salad and flatbread. I only just made it through the meat and salad. Generous portions. Good selection of non alcoholic drinks, which is really good to see. Sure we'll be back soon.

Prior to my reservation, I asked if there was anything special the restaurant could do to help us make it a memorable experience however the contrary occurred. Upon arriving, we were seated in the middle of two business meetings, which was quite an inappropriate atmosphere for a 21st birthday celebration. Additionally, our drink order wasn’t taken for 15 minutes despite no other tables requiring attention as there were only two other tables in the restaurant. The food was excellent, however we didn’t receive a check back upon our food and did not get offered another drink despite our drinks being empty. After we had finished our food, we waited 15 minutes for our plates to be cleared and a further 15 minutes waiting for the birthday cake to be brought out and it never was. We then had to go to the bar to ask for the bill, as we were running late to another event as a result. Overall it was quite a disappointing experience, the food was amazing but the service was appalling.

Beautiful food and drinks! I came here for the first time for a bottomless brunch, and it's the best brunch I've been to. The service was amazing. Also, the music needs improving, but everything else was just perfect. I would recommend this place for a bottomless brunch!

Great place not only for cocktails and food but also for business meetings. Really lovely, modern decor, lounge music and overall a great place to be.

Came in as a group of 5 on a BH. It wasn't busy and the starter with the main came out in good time. However my M.R steak was on the cold side, still tasted good. The steak could not even melt the garlic butter that was on it from the kitchen. No one else from the group had this issue, so guessing mine was cooked first. The drinks also took a little bit longer, and the desert took around 50mins to come out. Hopefully our next visit is a lot better.

Very poor service/food I ordered the hanging kebab and stated when ordering please could the steak be well done, mentioned this twice whilst ordering and explained why. Waitress agreed and said that’s fine she will get the kitchen to accommodate, service was very slow even though wasn’t very busy steak came out and was pink would say rare explained to the waiter I ordered well done and clearly not anyway they agreed to take the steak back and cook it some more, steak returned and was exactly the same minus the piece of steak I had cut off beforehand. When asked if everything was okay I explained the situation and waiter agreed to get it taken off the bill, I then got the bill and noticed they had discounted the steak to half price even though I didn’t eat any, this was eventually resolved, I have visited this restaurant over 50 times and last few times have not been very good and tonight has made us not want to return feels like it has had a drastic change that has effected overhaul service.

Had an amazing roast today ! Always good service and food. Particularly enjoy the mocktail too.

The service was extremely slow, we were there for over 45 minutes before we even had our order taken. I would understand this a bit more if it was busy but there were only about 5 or 6 parties dining while we were there. We then had to wait for another 40 minutes for the starter to arrive and then over an hour for the main. The food was underwhelming, I went there in February and it was amazing but the food now seems to be a lot cheaper and poor quality while the prices on the menu are a lot higher.

We went for a bottomless brunch absolutely loved it! The service from Deepak was amazing, very quick and attentive!

I went to the Fire Pit for a meeting, having heard it was a great venue. It did not disappoint. Fabulous place, atmosphere, decor, food, staff. I would imagine a great place in the evenings too.

Excellent, stylish grill restaurant with an ample nice cocktail bar.. would highly recommend, prices are a little steep, but the food is amazing, no complaints from anyone in our party afterwards.. we chose the place for a birthday celebration, they said we could decorate table before our arrival if needed and said we could bring and consume our own cake on the premises if we wanted to do so. We reserved the Firepit 'table' in Rawtenstall, which made it a little more special and will definitely be back again soon !

Just had lunch today with friends first visit, will definitely be going again. Pleasant staff, good food reasonable price. We were going somewhere else but it was not serving so found the Firepit by accident "a happy accident"

The steak on a stone is delicious 😋 Sirloin, Ribeye, is always great.

The food was great.. I wasn't too keen on the firepit lager but thats my taste , apart from that it was really excellent..the staff is friendly..

Great food but it all came out at different times. Waitress forgot to ask how we wanted the steaks cooks and what sauces we wanted with our mixed grills. The meat came out then 5 minutes later came the sides then another 5 minutes for the sauces. The place was so noisy that we couldn't hear each other very well.

Decent place been multiple times .it's unusual if there's something bad . Foods good but need to improve some items on the Sunday roast . (Roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese )

As always, the food was fantastic. My wife and I are both doing a Keto diet at the moment and the staff were really accommodating. The Sharing Stone was excellent and my friend had the Baby Back Ribs and they were delicious.

Nice food. Good service. When asking for the bill the staff explained they had added 10% service charge on and asked if we would like to take it off. We often tip, but think it is rude and a bit presumptious for them to put it on on our behalf. It isn't how guests should be treated. Made the payment very awkward and left a bad taste in my mouth. They would do better graciously allowing the customers to give a tip, rather than touting for one.

Lovely night out....Sunday evening but still very busy.

The food was nice. servers are friendly but could do with listening a little better as there were a couple of things wrong with our meals. We decided to just pretend everything was fine after the first mistake as it just seemed easier. Please don't take this as a complaint. Just wanted to be honest in my review. I'd still reccomend Fire Pit to friends. It's hard finding a balance between being a Karen and actually getting what we asked for 😅 - the perils of being British

Disappointing Experience – Wouldn’t Return I had high expectations for The Firepit, especially after hearing good things about the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately, my experience on Valentine’s Day was a disaster from start to finish. Poor organisation, slow service, cold food, and even FOOD POISONING made this an unforgettable night for all the wrong reasons. The Full Experience: I booked a table for four with the Valentine’s special (three courses for £50). Our reservation was for 8:45 PM, but upon arrival, we were told our table wasn’t ready and were sent to the bar upstairs which we received two separate tables, despite booking for four, so we had to awkwardly pull chairs together. We were finally seated — a hour later — and it took another 30 minutes for our starters to arrive, and one was incorrect. It was replaced quickly, but still, not a great start. For the mains. We ordered four steaks, which should have come with hot platters for cooking to preference. One of the platters arrived cold, rather than waiting again, we just shared a working one because we were super hungry. Several starters and desserts were unavailable, and to make things worse, our table was placed right next to the front door, meaning we sat in a draft all night. The desserts were actually decent, though not my first choice since mine was unavailable. When the bill arrived, there was an automatic 10% service charge, which I had removed because the service simply didn’t deserve it. To top everything off, I ended up with food poisoning that kept me up all night. After this experience, I won’t be returning. While the atmosphere seemed nice and others have spoken highly of The Firepit, my visit was nothing but below expectations. I didn’t want to complain on the day and wasn’t going to leave a review however after the food poisoning incident I wanted to make others aware.

The food was pretty good, but service was slow, as there did not seem to be many staff on (though, to be fair, it was a Tuesday evening). Our server was very polite, but it took a long time to get drinks and food, and part of my partners dish was missing with no warning until we pointed it out. There seemed to be a disconnection between FOH and kitchen.

Very,very good food. Staff dealt with us extremely courteously..we had a group booking of 9/10. All orders were hot and delicious..very clean place,wonderful place to dine out in Rawtenstall. 2/3 of our party are vegetarian..halloumi is so tasty..presented on a stand..halloumi,sweetcorn wheels,chilli jam with side wrap,salad and fries. Am assured meat dishes were excellent.

Came on NYE and a woman who said she was the owner was so rude and ruined our night. She came and sat at our table then shouted at my friend for asking who she was. Acting all big and mighty saying do you know who I am, I'm the owner ect. We shortly left after this as she kept looking over and we felt so awkward. We was also disappointed paying £20 for an okay band and a dj downstairs where there was only about 5 people down there. We then paid £25 at the bar for 2 double drinks which shocking. Being as close as it was to midnight we kind of had no choice but to stay till the countdown.

Food was lovely and Kyle went above and beyond to make our night a memorable one.

Really disappointed - used to come here a lot and used to be lovely did not have the same experience this time. We were not given cutlery and had to ask both times for starters and mains. Starters were lovely but for the mains none of us were asked how we wanted our steak cooked unfortunately they were brought out well done. Also the smoke from the ‘steak on a stone’ from another table filled the room and was just all around horrible. None of the staff cared at all and made it really clear. Overall an expensive and disappointing experience :( sad as it used to be so nice

Me and my family came for out Christmas meal this year and Laila our server has been absolutely amazing, she had worked so hard and made sure we enjoyed our Christmas meal and was so quick to ensure everything was okay with our food! Her service is impeccable and should be applauded! Big thank you to Laila for making our Christmas memorable and we hope you enjoy the time you can spend with your family too!

Food was absolutely shocking. All steaks were stone cold, the chicken on the hanging kebab was cheap chewy chicken that you could barely cut with a butchers knife. On top of that they also cocked up the entire order and forgot our starters, they then offered to give us our starters as deserts (still having to pay) until we said it's unacceptable. The lad who cocked it up was stood at the bar laughing about the whole situation. After we refused to take the starters as a desert they then threw a hissy fit about it all. Didn't offer any sort of compensation for the crap inedible food or the major cock up. Overall way too expensive for the quality, if you want a good steak or meal please avoid this place and go a local cuisine as these people do not know how to deal with customers or situations.

Cannot fault the food here, always fantastic and a big fan of the steak on a stone. Unfortunately the service does let this place down especially duding lunch time. We waited 15 minutes for our drink order to be taken, and when they came to take our food order another 15 minutes later we still didn’t have our drinks. It’s a massive shame because the first 30 minutes let down the entire ambiance for us.

Laila was our waitress for the evening and she was great, very polite and helpful. Nothing was too much to ask and we felt looked after for our special meal. Great food quality but felt the added service charge on the was a bit much. If I wanted to leave a tip I would but having £200+ meal and automatically having a large service charge added makes me less inclined to pay it! I think the service charge should NOT be added to the total and then a question once I know the full total of my meal as the service charge being automatically added makes the total slightly deceiving.

Took my son for his 21st birthday. The waiter initially made an error with the drinks order which wasn't a major issue although it seemed to take an excessive length of time to get the correct drinks. Our starters came relatively quickly and were very nice. However, our main courses didn't arrive until we had been in the restaurant for 1.75 hours which is a ridiculous length of time. The cynic in me thinks that this is designed to increase the drink sales. We didn't bother ordering desserts. The bill was over £250 for five of us and I can list several other restaurants in the East Lancs area that offer far more value for money.

Another amazing Sunday roast. Amelia our server was very pleasant and attentive which was a nice addition to the lovely food!

The service from Amelia was top notch. We both had a burger and it was fab. Atmosphere was nice and relaxing. All the food I saw being served looked great. Will deffo visit again.

Went for dinner and we were well taken care of by Eva. Service was great, and the food was excellent. It’s a little pricey but about right for a steakhouse. Only slight negative was the music being a bit too loud. There was a live DJ on for the restaurant’s 10th birthday. Great night though and will be going again.

Booked a table on Monday 15 Oct at 745 and when we arrived the restaurant was quiet, a few tables about but not to busy but it felt cold could be the automatic doors but definitely draughty ,we were sat down and then it took a little while b4 anyone gave us a menu or asked us about drinks which was when I noticed only 1 server on plus a manager and being a chef myself I know about rotas and would totally understand the issues this lovely young man was having but when he asked about taking the service charge off I agreed but service charge on a Monday come on management who you trying to rip off shocking if i had paid it it would have been around 12 pounds behave you get paid like everyone else minimum wage that most of get country get paid what makes this so special that you want extra just for serving and doing there job imagine everyone in different jobs doing that,not for me ,as for the food ,starters ok chips lovely but again just ok no wow factor for me

We came out for a celebratory meal and it was everything we didn't know we wanted! The food was gorgeous! Hermione was SO great! Me and my partner ate here the other night and we were served by Laila. The food was outstanding, we were fit in last minute due to unexpected cancellation of another booking elsewhere and the service was amazing. Cocktails were tasty and well presented without being too flashy. The steak on a stone was amazing. I feel 10 oz may not be enough for next time. Dessert was okay, the mrd had bannoffee cheesecake which was really nice and I had a sticky toffee pudding which was good but nothing to write home about. Overall a really nice experience, guided expertly by our lovely server, Laila. Food was amazing and drinks were great.

Food was fantastic! 100% recommend! This is the second time coming here and both me and my girlfriend enjoyed it both times. Our waiter Kyle was amazing, he attended to any needs we had and provided great service.
