We are stopping at Rossendale holiday cottages, we ordered from here last night, both our meals were really good, best Chinese we've had in a long time . Highly recommend 👌

I LOVE this chippy it is my favourite chippy i love their chips i think if i could have one food for the rest of my life it would be these chips, i love the vinegar and salt they put on these chios. Their prawn crackers are so good that i think i would explode if i waa guven a infinite amount. Their fish is absolutely exquisite and i would definetly buy here everyday if i could but id end up fat. Ieverytime i get eeough money i go there to buy their wo derful chips. They are 2.30 for a large portion which i absolutely admire. I love this chippy more than my family and myself. I dont care how fat i end up i will have these chips as much as possible. This is no joke.your all giving a rating too low. I am 12 years old. But this is the best chippey in the world. You all rate too low.

Extremely disappointed. Noodles were like mush, chicken sechuan had no flavour, tasted watered down, ordered dry ribs, they were dry to the extreme. Second time ut of 2 we've had a sub standard meal. Won't be going back again. It was delivered very quickly and the staff were very polite on the phone.

The portions are massive took star of cause weren't right keen on the fish but rest of food no complaints

Top quality Chinese meals we use this place regularly now barbecue ribs are excellent and a good large portion.

Jasmine house is definitely the best Chinese in the area , amazing owner who is so friendly and kind. The food here is 10/10 and always great sized portions, never had anything to complain about when ordering food here, never takes longer than 15 minutes and always hot , fresh food and great service. I would definitely recommend getting the munchy box as it’s only £19.90 and can feed around 6 people and if it’s not a busy day the owner or staff will edit the order to your liking ….. 10/10 👍

Ordered from here a few times and has always been good, had takeaway last night I was awful the spring rolls were the worst it side was all back as though the bean sprouts had gone off couldnt eat them, the seaweed just tasted of dirty oil and the potion was on a small side in a dip container, other dishes in a bright red off putting sauce will probably not order from here again waste of money

I got 20 pounds worth of food and it was enough to feed a small army foo Yung was top notchers and the Singapore chow mein was bangers i strongly recommend give yaself a pat on the back😀

Ordered a takeaway for 6 people which turned out to be very disappointing tasteless Specal Chow Mein, Special Fried Rice that contained 2 large prawns and the rest was mainly rice with a few small bits of pork chichen and the odd minute shrimp. A Sezchuan chicken portion that was not spicy in a watery sauce and loaded with large chunks of onion.everything was lacking in taste except the Salt and Pepper spare ribs and Barbeque ribs. .First and last time to order from jasmine House at Newchurch.

Well i just pucked my order tonight and did manage to meet the new owner who insisted on a free bag of prawn crackers,the prawn crackers actually taste of prawn 10/10. Beef in black been sauce my mrs give it 10/10. Special omelette myself 10/10. Chips are bang on not to thick ,not to skinny real chips . Will buy my food regularly, there was nothing wrong with the food with the last owners,but this is the next level very HAPPY 😄

Ordered from here tonight for the first time and was very impressed. The food was delicious, decent sized portions and reasonably priced. Would recommend and will definitely use again in the future.

A few months ago I did have a very negative review on here because I tried their food a couple weeks into the new owners taking over and it was very disappointing and tasteless. Me and my friend always held it in such high regard and went there whenever we were together so it was a shame it went downhill. But, we thought we would give it another chance and try the salt and pepper munch box. It arrived within 25 minutes and was stacked to the rafters with delicious, well spiced food! Me and my friend loved it and were buzzing we gave it another chance. It has definitely improved since the first weeks and will be going there in the future again.

Have been getting the munch box since the new owners have been there and they’ve been great but the one on Saturday evening was terrible due to the chips! I have never had chips like them, just went straight in the bin!

Food was nice. Wish they did the fine noodles for the soft noodles instead of chow neon noodles. All in all was good food. I have to comment on the young girl behind the counter though(dark hair not the blonde lass) Her attitude is disgusting. Tutting at people, pulling faces at her colleagues when asked to do something and telling customers that she know because she does work there in a vile tone. I’ve spoken to the same girl on the phone when placing an order and her telephone manner wasn’t great niether.

I place an order and sent in somebody that was covid free to collect it (I have covid) we go given the wrong order, so we rang them and told them we had got the wrong order and could we collect the correct order (yes, of course, it was our fault according to the staff), we tried to explain that we could not return we had covid and we would get somebody to collect the food for us. to be told we had to bring the wrong food back I again tried to explain we had covid and it was not safe to bring it back to be told if you don't bring it back we would have to pay in full for the correct order. Environmental health has been informed. This is not a safe way to work and has to be against the law but if they are doing this what else do they do. All to make sure we don't get any free food (at least our bin is full now)

The portions are unbelievable and actually also really tasty. Salt n pepper Ribs are really good, noodles a little but mushy but in all food is great but portions honestly nearly double most places as in idea I think you get about 15 ribs in a portion.

Fantastic to finally have a local Chinese which can cater to a family of 5 without breaking that bank as the portions are so big, accidently ordered so much we will be on takeaway for tomorrow night. Not just the chips but chicken and the ribs all heaving out the packaging. Perfection great job guys very tasty,will definitely recommend to others.

Great food with a really great selection of fresh cooked meals. Portions are great and the owner is very generous hard working lady. I would recommend Jasmine House if you fancy a take or Fish & Chips they do that really well. I have eaten food from here alot and it always good. I don't understand the negative reviews as they don't reflect how good this place is.

The food is weak and cheap, didn't enjoy it at all it wasn't properly cooked, absolute waste of money, got to be one of the worst Chinese around. Happy Valley is the best if you want some nice well cooked high quality food. 100.

Fantastic service order the food at 7:20 and was ready by the time i arrived. The food was delicious and you get a good portion size. Would highly recommend.

Ok food, kids only like the English dishes though so haven't really tried the Chinese.

Not been there for awhile. The last time I'd phoned my order in for 8pm pick up. When I arrived it wasn't ready !!! The young server said they make it fresh !! I replied well why have a phone in for pick up time then ? Waited ages !!!

Jasmine House is literally my favourite Chinese takeaway in rossendale. No, EVER. I’ve never come across another takeaway who can make chow mein like Elaine can. I don’t know how she does it, but the noodles are always perfectly soft and delicious. Heaven. When I was at university, whenever I’d come home for the holidays, I’d always ask my parents if we could have Elaine’s for tea. And now, Elaine’s food is our special occasion meal when we can’t be bothered to go out to a restaurant. Our favourite dishes are the red pork chow mein, chicken chow mein (classic), spring rolls (to die for), lemon chicken, Cantonese duck and the fish and chips. Even writing this review is making my mouth water...

Absolutley disgusting service and disgusting food. Chowmein was super noodles and chewy, crunchy chicken, the boiled rice was clumpy and the beef in black bean sauce was just horrible! AVOID!!!!!

We've used Jasmine House more times than I would like to admit, but except 2 occasions, it has always been for the Chinese/ Cantonese food, which is arguably the best I've ever had from a takeaway. Portions sizes are good, flavours spot-on, and less grease than many places. Would definitely recommend for the Chinese food. The Fish and Chips, however, is a different matter. It is huge, yes, however quality has definitely been compromised for quantity. The fish is haddock, however ours has tasted far from fresh on both occasions and the batter is thick, oily, and doughy, rather than been a thin and crispy skin protecting the fish. The Fish was a tad overcooked, not flaking well and getting drier than it should be. Gravy is acceptable. Chips similarly didn't have the best texture or flavour. The fish n chips side definitely needs an overhaul to keep up with other local chippies and the Cantonese dishes.

Excellent value, freshly made most of the food you could easily share between 2 and be full.

We have always gone to this takeaway and have always had great food and great service. Today however has changed all that and we will not be returning. We ordered our usual meals for takeaway and were told it would be an hour and a half wait. We waited as we know they get busy and picked up our food at 8pm. Got it home and had been given a totally different meal to what was ordered and it was awful. Asked for deep-fried shredded chicken in cashew sauce with extra chilli. Got boiled horrible chicken in a chilli sauce with water chestnuts but the extra chilli made it inedible. Called the takeaway and the girl apologised and said they could make the correct meal in 15 minutes. We went back in 15 to get our food and they refused to give it us without the incorrect meal or we would have to pay again! The girl on the phone hadn’t asked for us to return the wrong meal and in all honesty we nearly threw it away because it was inedible! So we had to come home and go back with the incorrect meal to finally be able to get the correct meal of our order. This was at 2100hrs so a full hour after everybody else had eaten their food. Utterly disgusting service considering it was their mistake and we will not be returning.

Great food and big portions...well worth the money...my only 2 downfalls I’d say are (1) the salt and pepper chips as both times we’ve had them they have been over cooked and (2) they don’t do delivery :)

Excellent take away. Courteous staff. Best in the area 5star good. I Ieft this coment before the refurbishment. I wish to all and this they now do not sell pies, puddings, fish. Chips and sausage are only made to order you have a 10-25 minute wait for this. They do still sell gravy and curry but im smaller cups and they no longer do large portions of chips. They are saying staff problems are the reason. One thing is for certain they have lost me and my family as customers and I am certain they will lose a lot more.

Having read all of the wonderful reviews of this takeaway, we were really looking forward to our first visit here. I can only assume we were at the wrong place ! The meals that we were given were only one step up from disgusting. Chicken in Black Bean Sauce : Chicken was tough, stringy & poor quality. The Sauce could best be described as watery gravy, with only a passing resemblance to Black bean sauce. Sweet & Sour Chicken : Chicken tough & poor quality. Carrots raw. Sauce reasonable. Fried Rice : Dry & Tasteless. Most of the meals finished up in the bin ! I do wonder who write some of these five-star reviews. First visit - definitely last visit.

Best Chinese and chip shop around! Huge portions for a very small price. Best to ring and order then you will not have to wait as long as it gets extremely busy. We have bought many takeaway meals from the Jasmine House over the years. In my opinion they are the best Chinese/fish and chip shop around. Really good Chinese food and really good (and great value) fish and chips.

Lived in Manchester for a decade and nothing came close to this. Belting. The salt and pepper chicken fillets are legendary round these parts, I've written a few short stories about them and have interest from penguin books.

If you want Chinese food expect to wait 20-30 minutes for it as they are always busy.English food, i.e chips, pies, ect you can get straight away.They Chinese food though is tasty and the spare ribs portions are huge for the price.Overall worth waiting for.

Immaculately clean Chinese Chippy serving the best fish n chips for miles around.I'm a great lover of Chinese food, however I've never tried the Chinese from this place as the fish n chips are sooooo good!We travel 20 mile round trip to get here as any other fish n chips locally to us are no comparison to Jasmine House. Well worth the journey as all the fish are cooked to order so expect a 10 minute wait - but believe me you won't be disappointed. One day who knows I might get round to sampling their Chinese meals, they too look mouth watering and good.A lot of English chippy's need to take a leaf out of Jasmine's book and stop being so stingy with their portions!!
