Magnífico. Este es nuestro nuevo pub favorito para un almuerzo glorioso. Estuve allí para el almuerzo del domingo y fue muy, muy bueno. Maravilloso ambiente, excelente servicio de un grupo de personal que se veía y sentía como si estuvieran disfrutando de ella y la comida... . . . . oh, la comida! Qué hallazgo.

My new favourite place in the South Queensferry area. I hadn't been here since 2020. It was good before, but it's arguably even better now. We shared ribs and brisket, and loved them both. The food was outstanding, and the service was great too. We won't leave it so long before we return the next time. Well worth a visit.

Great staff, atmosphere and most importantly the food was superb. The fact the chef is from Yorkshire was just an added bonus for this exiled Yorkshire man

A lovely find. Staff were friendly and really efficient. The food was really tasty. We had ribs and brisket, both were very good. Has a cosy atmosphere with a little fire and fairy lights. We would recommend!

Family of 4, we had a lovely meal last night. Portions were generous and we couldn’t fault anything. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pub is cosy and a stove burning was lovely. We booked very last minute and got a table no issues. We will return 😄

Food was delicious. Staff were outstanding, altogether a perfect evening. A great pub with reasonable pub prices. I would thoroughly recommend the fat pheasant and I’m looking forward to coming back soon

The new BBQ menu is excellent. We have had the ribs, pulled pork and the sunday roast. All were tasty and well cooked. Service is warm and friendly.

We had an early dinner here yesterday and it was all very nice indeed. I had the Sunday roast and my partner had fish and chips, followed by apple pie with ice cream which was delicious! Everything was beautifully presented and we were both very happy with the quality of the food. The service was equally very good and our server Sara was very helpful, friendly and polite, all of which is just as important as the food itself. We would certainly come here again and would recommend this place to others. Many thanks again.

Simple Scottish/Yankee comfort food done well. Ribs are quite special from butchery to marinades. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I visited here on Saturday and it was wonderful. The atmosphere was lively but not overbearing and was a great family pub - definitely not one of those awful weatherspoons-like places! The staff have always been incredibly welcoming and attentive when I’ve visited before and this time was no different thankfully! The food was different to what we have seen before but it was still great - hearty grill as opposed to gastro pub. My husband had the ribs whilst I had the chicken burger - both were excellent. We then also shared a sticky toffee pudding which was lovely. Would absolutely recommend this place as a place to go. One of my favourite places in the local area for sure and will definitely be coming back!

We popped in because we heard there was a new smokehouse menu and enjoyed our meal! I had the nachos with brisket as a main course and the brisket was cooked beautifully!! Really appreciate that they would make me a main course portion of a starter and it had just the right amount of guacamole, salsa and sour cream too. Service was very good and we were welcomed by the owner too. It has a lovely atmosphere and is dog friendly too. Everyone looked like they were having a good night! Thank you and we will be back!

We have been here a few times and the menu and food was lovely! We cannot say that tonight after a truly awful Sunday roast. Starters the chicken wings were nothing special smothered in shop bought bbq sauce. The roast beef was truly awful over cooked and chewy beef, covered in rosemary. The veg was hard and dry the Yorkshire pudding undercooked thick yet small (compared to past experiences here) and also had rosemary through them 😬. Desert was ok but nothing like normal. Service was extremely slow with just 2 servers on. Whilst we were waiting about we heard they had ran out of half the mains on the set menu. On the way out I asked of they had a new chef with the new smokehouse menu to be told actually they do not have a chef atm and they had a agency chef. Over all very disappointed after speaking highly about it to our guest we were treating and feel the money was wasted on a extremely poor experience.

Visited on Fri 28th June food was excellent staff very helpful and friendly but be aware it is difficult to get a taxi to pick you up from there and there is no public transport
