We have had a wonderful week in St David’s. We have been going for a drink around 3:00pm, however, on Friday 4/10/24 we went in around 2:15, ordered drinks, 10 minutes later there was a reserved sign put on our table. I joked that it was a reserved for locals from 3:30, well it was. We were still there at 4:00 and nobody appeared. The rest of the week we were made very welcome. The young man behind the bar that day wasn’t as pleasant as the previous barman that we had. I hope his local customers eventually appeared. We could have left after the sign was put on table but decided to stay. If we had left the tills would have been down. I always thought public houses were for everyone ☹️

St David’s was packed with people and all the eateries in the central area were full. Just a short walk down Goat Street and we found this pub. It was a lovely sunny day so we sat in the pub garden, where there were a few seats available, some under cover. We ordered at the bar in the pub garden (no need to go back into the building) and each had a pint of the local Welsh bitter. We ordered from the specials board and the meat pasta dish and the seafood risotto were delicious. They were busy but we didn’t have to wait too long and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Walk out the back gate and down the slope and you’re at the gatehouse to the grounds of the cathedral.

Pub tradizionale che non accetta prenotazioni, sempre molto affollato. Si ordina al banco, si paga subito, e il servizio è abbastanza veloce. Ottima la zuppa di zucca, buono l'hamburger di agnello. I've been coming to St Davids for over 10 years now and The Farmers Arms is our favourite place to eat! Food&Beer is great. There's a lovely atmosphere in the pub. However last night whilst my husband was waiting at the bar he couldn't help but overhear the hostility of the two girls behind the bar towards 5 lads (local I assume). He watched as they walked in only to be ignored by the staff. There was sniggers from behind the bar that they'd not get served but eventually one did come and take their order. Another member of staff came over and interrogated the lads about a previous visit to the pub and told them they would not be served after their first drink. Overhearing their conversation the lads were baffled as staff couldn't not give them a reason for this. This unwelcoming behaviour has put me and my husband off from returning the The Farmers Arms, in future visit to Pemborkeshire. The bar staff were rude and very unprofessional towards them. Are locals not welcome during the peak tourist months??

We visited the Farmer’s Arms for our evening meal whilst staying nearby. It was busy but we were served quickly by friendly staff and our food came out promptly. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed and contained a mix of locals and tourists. We had the ox cheek burger, Welsh burger, plant burger and bacon and cheese dirty fries (generous portion which needed to be shared to be finished). Everyone was really pleased with the portion size and flavour of their meal choice. No photos as we tucked in immediately and forgot. We would certainly return and would recommend others to visit if they are ever in the area!

Booked the restaurant for evening dinner.. Was given a tiny table for 4 of us and asked to be moved as not possible to be comfortable there.. Nobody approached our table with menus so we had to find them, no specials available. Food was below average, had the scampi and chips, the chips were obviously oven chips from local supermarket and had no taste, the scampi was overcooked and miniscule. The pub had no atmosphere and we left as soon as we had eaten and paid. would not recommend or go back there. The menu was the same as all the other pubs, nothing really Welsh about it sadly.

A local pub with regulars, a pool table and TVs for watching sport. Brilliant chap behind the bar - he's got a great laugh. Good selection of drinks as you'd expect - Double Dragons is Welsh and an excellent session bitter on par with Greene King IPA or TT's Landlord. We didn't eat here, but the menu is very similar to The Bishop's so maybe they're owned/run by the same people. Nice outdoor space for when the sun shines. Everything clean and well maintained. Definitely a good place to stop for a drink and the food offering looked good, just check when the kitchen is in action as it may not be an all day affair.

I opted for a children’s portion of local sausages, mash, peas and gravy. All delicious. The, ‘Double Dragon’ ale was sampled and appreciated. The tables are swiftly cleaned between covers. Good drinkers pub, food OK, nothing earth shattering or local produce driven, but as a drinkers proper pub, it's got a great atmosphere . Good feeling in the beer garden and a pool table that's well used. Another good point is that the tables don't have reserved placards on to discourage people sitting there. Only downside is that I saw two of the food service staff harassing a couple to finish their meals so they could clear the tables so they could go home, I mean they literally stood over them saying "have you finished yet" which I felt this was totally out of order.

We called in for a quick lunch on Saturday. We usually go elsewhere, but Tenby was busy so we ended up in Tenby House. We ordered the sausage and mash with onion gravy for my husband, beetroot falafel with a flatbread for me and a bowl of chips for our son . We were expecting big standard pub grub, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was served quickly and was absolutely delicious. My husband commented that his food was nicer than some he had received in more expensive restaurants. A lot of places pay lip service to vegetarians and do the food badly, this was certainly not the case here. My food was lovely, very well cooked and presented. My only gripe is that the lagers they have on tap are naff

The American Diner has a totally different business philosophy with next to no signage, we had Google maps on and still struggled to find it. It is conveniently hidden inside the Fish and Chip shop, it is red roped off for VIPs only and when you try to enter after triumphantly finding it, you are met by a rude woman that sharply indicates there is no sit down service, or internal queuing it would seem, and that you need to order through the window. Following form, not a single do not enter sign, obviously why waste money on signs when you must be approaching recievership anyway! This is the best review I can give after the way we were spoken too. We did not buy, so cannot attest to the quality, but if they treat the food the way they treat their custom, we dodged a bullet.
