We were sold Darts Farm as being the place for brunch. In practice although the service was good as were the prices the English breakfast would not have been out of place in an old school service station buffet or a convenience store offering. It was bland and this from an outlet with its own butchers The smashed avocado was equally bland The breakfast tea was very flavourful

Nice atmosphere and very friendly and efficient staff. Starter of Kentucky fried monkfish tails was weird but good! Excellent local salami. My partner had a fantastic (and huge!) sirloin steak beautifully cooked. My rack of lamb was less successful. I was asked if I minded it 'pink' which I prefer but when it arrived it was practically raw and Greg and John would have pointed out that the fat was barely warm and not at all rendered down so it didn't really work. I am happy to eat very rare steak so ate the nuggets of meat but left most of the rest. Shame as it was really good quality meat. A desert of pear choux bun with gelato was a great success particularly with the glass of sauternes to accompany.

This is a brilliant restaurant for lunch, although it was very busy the staff were quick, efficient and friendly. Our lunch was lovely and although we all chose different dishes every thing arrived together. Great food and an excellent chef.

Lovely pizza lunch to finish off our shopping trip. Great atmosphere and excellent service. The presentation of the food/drink and the timing/style of the waiting service was spot on. The staff were well trained and the operation of the place felt very professional and customer friendly. Pizza was superb and so was the beer.

Absolutely shambles! Chefs in toilets in full chef gear including aprons which wasn’t the best start. Sent a steak back which we ordered rare, came out medium…waitress came back and said chef said to say that’s how he cooks his rare steaks. Waitress was extremely defensive and rude. Refused to replace steak - utter arrogance

This was our first visit to The Farm Table and it won't be the last, from the moment we were seated until leaving, the service was superb, a special shout out goes to Cal and his young counterpart (Sorry didn't get his name) for doing such a great job, both a credit to the team. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed all 3 courses with a lovely bottle of wine. It's a lovely atmosphere at certainly a venue to dress up smart and enjoy the evening. Extra effort made for birthday, even to attention to notes on booking and washing my partner happy birthday as shown to the table.

What an expensive disappointment. Its not about the cost, but it certainly is when the food served is dreadful. A piece of hake was ordered with a salad and confirmed as with a salad. What I received consisted of a plateful of Radicchio di Chioggia ( Hard rubbery dark red leaves with large white veins. with hake underneath. It was tuff and horrible and spoilt the flavour of the fish. That's assuming it had any, I could not tell. Where was the salad ? even a basic one.... Love Darts, always get my meat there and meet my friends. I am a local. I would not eat in that restaurant again. I feel completely ripped off and it spoilt a nice reunion with my friend.

Beautiful restaurant, very spacious room with lovely large tables. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Very friendly and attentive staff with plenty of smiles whilst serving us. The food was beautifully presented and it came hot to the table . We were not rushed at all and if it wasn't for our taxi arriving on time we could have stayed even longer. My favorite was the sardines crispy hot and delicious. My husband loved the hake fillet served with olives and borlotti beans , so tasty and fresh. Desserts were just as good, chocolate fondant was perfect not too sweet and the rhubarb yogurt ice cream was my favorite. This will certainly be a regular dinner reservation for us. Our waitress Karolina made the evening even better, everything she did for us was done with a smile and a lovely attitude.

After visiting for the past two years with family, friends, recommendations, we can honestly say this is the last visit. Restaurant empty, staff deflated it was 2.30pm…so done their shift and not keen to welcome further guests. Stood for a good 20 mins, people walking past us. Sat down, another 20 to get a drink, another 20 to get a food order, we asked twice! Food came, potatoes rock hard, sent back, second lot arrived when we’d finished, advised rock hard too…no reaction and left on bill. Will not return and definitely won’t be voting in the awards. The chefs stood at the back with their arms folded need to instruct the recruits or take over what is going on in their kitchen

We had a lovely evening made even more enjoyable by the friendly and efficient service of our waitress. Excellent pizza finished with a peppery chilli oil, tomato salad and a refreshing St Clements’s ice cream to finish. Would have loved to taste the wonderful cheese selection but just too full.

One of the nicest Sunday roasts I’ve had out. The potatoes were extremely tasty and the beef was to perfection but sadly for nearly £25, one slice of beef was not enough and the price does not reflect this. Cal, our server, I could not fault. He was friendly, very knowledgeable on the wine and overall his customer service couldn’t have been better. Thank you Cal

8 of us had an excellent evening meal. The menu is varied with a good choice of fish, lamb and steak as well as pizzas. I have deducted one star as the main dishes should include potatoes/chips and seasonal vegetables. Potatoes and seasonal vegetables will add approximately £9 per person putting the cost of a main course at around £30.

The whole experience was sensational and the atmosphere was lovely. Our server Emma was bubbly and knowledgeable. The steak was the best I've ever eaten and the pizza was amazing even with no cheese. The wine menu was varied and we got excellent recommendations from Cal. The desserts were delectable and the cocktails were exquisite.

This is the 3rd time we have visited the Farm Table in the evening for dinner. Have been coming to Darts for many years and have lunch in the main restaurant twice a week usually as I like the friendly atmosphere, it’s convenient for meeting friends and the food is fine The first time we visited the Farm Table we were very impressed, service was very good and the food was excellent and different. The second time we went we were very much less impressed but we gave them the benefit of the doubt and went again. Just awful. The four of us found the food from indifferent to inedible. My fish was swimming in some very greasy sauce. One of us had an undercooked pasta dish served with copious amounts of sauce. Another one of us had a very mediocre pizza. The calamari was rubbery and inedible The food was definitely below par and the service rushed. Sadly we will avoid the Farm Table in future

Excellent food and service at a family birthday lunch. Wonderful fish - Hake on this occasion and Turbot on a previous visit in June. We will come again whenever we can.

So we are big fans of Darts Farm, living locally we have been coming here for years and if we eat here usually we have a pizza or breakfast in one of the other places. As we had a special occasion we thought we would treat ourselves to a Lunch at the Farm Table. We had never ventured behind the screens here but when we arrived at our booked table it was an odd experience. I know this is going to sound snooty but we expected it to be a little more special than the cafe. What we encountered was really just an extension of the cafe. We were sat next to a couple who looked like they had just come out of the gym and in front of a table of 8, 4 of the 8 being children under five. The confusion became clarity when we realised that you could just buy pizza slices and beer and snacks as well as A La Carte food. This seems bizarre to me, maybe i'm just in the wrong generation but it felt like The Ivy merged with Pizza Express, perhaps that is the aim of The Farm Table. I had a steak which was fantastic. Scallops to start, they were OK but a little on the pricey side given there were just 4 of them, £26 for myself and my partner and it was our own fault but as a pescatarian she hadn't realised they pea and fennel had a kind of pancetta in it so was only half finished. Anyway she also had the Hake which she said was OK so that was good. Overall the food was OK, expensive for what we felt was a daytime cafe experience rather than a restaurant experience if that makes sense. I would return but probably book The Farm Table for pizza and go to a proper restaurant in town for a special experience.

Awful atmosphere and paid for overpriced lager served in a plastic glass. First time I visited was a year ago and the lager was so poor i.e. flat that I asked to have it replaced. The replacement was even worse and the young staff clearly did not know what they were doing so I left. It clearly hasn’t improved since. Not worth visiting.

Cheap ingredients, bland and well overpriced. What the hell happened to the old style pizzas with the decent bacon etc? Bloody awful. I never had a problem with you guys for many many years. Always ordered from you every since I was young. Even my parents ordered from you. I will not be ordering from you again!

We come to Sidmouth at least once a year on holiday, but have never eaten here. We decided to try it this time after a recommendation. Very good gluten free menu, large portions, very friendly staff and very reasonably priced. We are wondering what took us so long to try it! We will definitely be back next time we are back in Sidmouth.

In summary the pizzas are absolutely fantastic!! We had a margarita, garlic bread+mozzarella and Hawaiian. All of which were delicious The website is easy to use and the delivery quick as we received the pizza pretty much within the hour as requested. I thought I’d note the different bases as I asked this…the artisan is hand pulled and the other is machine rolled. The machined rolled can fit more toppings but either option has that hand made/delicious taste All in all definitely buy from here!!!
