Not being a golfer dined at this restaurant for Sunday Lunch with a large party. The ambiance/quality of the furnishings(including the chandeliers) is impressive. We paid £17.95 for 3 courses.A sign on the bar declared 25% discount for 19th January. This was for members only and I think mgt need to advertise this to members some other way... The service was very good.We were happy with the food.except the creme brulé which was runny. Some confusion over diners who opted for the 3 courses on the day paying more than those who had prebooked was unfortunate.I think they should also include coffee/tea in the package...makes it easier for larger parties All in all it is a lovely venue..inevitably very adult environment..which lends itself to special occasions. If I could play golf I would join the club.

My husband has played here a few times and said the food was good so we decided to take the family for Sunday dinner. The food was fantastic and a few pound cheaper than anywhere else for a Sunday lunch. The presentation was good and the staff were friendly, everyone who went enjoyed their meal. Based on previous reviews, I think this place has improved. This is a golf club so there is a bit of figuring out where you are meant to be and making yourself known but once people knew that we had not been before, all staff were very accommodating. I think that this place is a little gem and could certainly give a few others places locally a run for their money. We will definitely be back and would like to see them open to the public more often.

We visited this restaurant for breakfast one morning and were left too feel extremely dissapointed. On arrival we were not told where to sit or greeted by a member of staff. Eventually, after asking at the bar if we could have a table, we were told to sit where we wanted. We waited over 20 minutes to have our order taken so we went to the bar to ask and were told we should order at the bar. This would have been useful to know before hand. Our food then arrived before drinks. Service was extremely poor and our waitress stunk of cigarettes which is very off putting. The food was nice but due to the extremely poor service and unwelcoming environment we will not be visiting again. If you are not a member you are not welcome. It is also not very pleasant to hear the actions of what the golfers did the night before when you’re eating your breakfast. Although this was not the fault of the restaurant, it added to the bad experience.

We went for breakfast as we had been previously for a Sunday lunch. The breakfast was delicious and very nice however the service was dreadful, as I am not a member of the golf club all attention from the staff seemed to be on the golfers unless they were just being plain rude? We were hanging around like a pair of wet lettuces as no one told us how to order , where to sit. We were told someone would take are order and they didn’t so I asked at the bar and they said no you order here , it was so confusing. We could’ve been sat there for 3 years straight and I don’t think anyone would’ve spoke to us. However if you are a member then the food was delicious although we got the food before the drinks, which I find strange really. The staff didn’t really have any go or didn’t make any effort to make you feel welcome , I felt really awkward and uncomfortable the whole time as though I shouldn’t have been there. Also some of the golfers(young) conversations were absolutely filthy so I would not recommend bringing children with you. As good as the food was I will not be returning, as it’s really put me off as to how uncomfortable I was made to feel.

A lovely B&B in a great location. The owners Jane and Nigel were very accommodating, we arrived late but Jane went above and beyond to ensure we had our room key. Our room was small but clean and we had a lovely home cooked English breakfast included within the price which was great value for money. Nigel even gave us a lift to our car the next morning when we were unable to get a taxi! Highly recommended!

We try to time our visits to Hadnall on Sundays so we can take advantage of the excellent Sunday Roast offered at The New Inn. Today was no exception, we opted for the Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding and Cauliflower Cheese as side dishes. With drinks the bill came to just under £37.00 and proved to be excellent value for money All components of the meal were hot, well cooked, well presented and delicious. During the last twelve months My wife and I have eaten Sunday Lunches at other establishments which, to be frank, didn't come any where near the quality of that served at the New Inn. If you are near Shrewsbury and looking for a good value meal I recommend that you try it Well done to Mark and the team.

We have been visiting Odfellows for over 8 years now and have never been disappointed! We reserved a table for 21st August for my Father in Laws birthday. Upon arrival we were greeted by Danielle and her colleague who were - as always - great! We had 2 x Lamb roast dinners and Fish and Chips for our mains, along with some tasty starters and deserts! As always the food and service was 10/10, we can not fault a single visit to Odfellows! As a local, I always recommend to everyone that we meet, and hopefully they will also attract some new custom from further afield!

This is no longer a Tea Room. It is a private residence. Trip Advisor don't seem to want to change the details!

We called into the Wingfield Arms on the off chance there would space for us to have Sunday lunch. The staff found us a table straight away, it was a Carvery, Gammon, beef and turkey, I had a bit of everything my partner had the beef, lots of vegetables and potatoes to choose from. Everything was cooked well and tasted nice, gravy was lovely. Also a choice of desserts. The restaurant was quite empty but it was later in the day. We will definitely be returning. Good value for money.
